**PLEASE NOTE*** This is a multi-level house with two staircases as well as several stairs along the 70 ft boardwalk that leads the house. Accessibility may be difficult for those who have mobility issues or trouble climbing stairs.
Additionally, this property is located along a gravel road on a hill, in an area where snow is not uncommon in the winter. Four wheel drive is strongly recommended during the winter when roads may be difficult. Refunds will not be issued for typical weather.
House Rules:
No smoking indoors (smoking allowed outside only, with proper disposal)
No drugs
No unauthorized gatherings or parties
No excess trash — all trash must be placed in the appropriate bins
Violation of these rules will result in a minimum $250 cleaning fee.
Pet-Friendly Property:
We love hosting furry friends!
Up to 2 pets allowed per stay
Pets must be kept off furniture and crated if left alone inside the home
A $50 pet fee applies
Additional mess or damage may result in extra charges
Early Check-in & Late Check-out:
We do our best to accommodate early arrivals or late departures depending on availability.
1-hour early check-in (3 PM) or late check-out (11 AM) is FREE if available
Additional hours are $25/hour, up to the cost of an extra night
Just message us after 7 PM the night before for availability

I grew up in Greenville, attended NC State University in Raleigh (go Pack!), met and married my beautiful bride in Wilmington, and now we reside in Greensboro with our two kiddos! We’ve always loved the North Carolina mountains, and this neighborhood captured everything we were looking for. When we found this home, we saw the chance to take a place that had been loved by one family for many years and thoughtfully update it into a comfortable, welcoming getaway for other families and friends to enjoy for years to come.
The neighborhood strikes the perfect balance—it feels remote and peaceful, giving you that true mountain escape, but you’re still just about 10 minutes from the nearest grocery store or local restaurant. We love the quiet, the starry nights, and especially the wildlife—deer, birds, and even the occasional black bear. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down and feel connected to nature, without feeling completely cut off from convenience.
