En una impresionante ubicación de olivos con fantásticas vistas al mar, a 45 minutos del aeropuerto internacional de Kalamata, una casa bellamente diseñada, con una hermosa piscina infinita.

Completamente aislada para alejarse de todo y experimentar la verdadera Grecia, esta antigua casa de piedra ha sido renovada de arriba a abajo para crear una casa de diseño manteniendo los toques tradicionales.

La casa principal tiene capacidad para 6 personas, en 3 amplios dormitorios cada uno con terraza privada. El dormitorio principal tiene un baño independiente y una cama con dosel.

Un pequeño anexo para invitados, justo debajo de la piscina, tiene capacidad para 4 personas más en dos amplios dormitorios con baño.

Charles y Ellie, nuestros maravillosos cuidadores domésticos, viven a 10 minutos y pueden brindar excelentes consejos sobre qué hacer y qué hacer para que sus vacaciones sean verdaderamente memorables.

Las playas de arena virgen de esta costa están a 5 minutos bajando la colina en ambas direcciones. (Hay 60k m de playas subdesarrolladas en 1 tramo solo aquí). ¡Una playa diferente para cada día de vacaciones!

El mercado local, a 5 minutos de distancia, tiene pescado fresco, fruta, verduras y el mejor pan de Grecia. Pruebe el aceite de oliva extraído del bosque en el que se encuentra la casa, gratis para que los huéspedes lo disfruten. Grandes tabernas locales a precios locales están cerca: come como un verdadero griego, ¡no como un turista! Pruebe el vino local en viñedos establecidos desde hace mucho tiempo.

La antigua Olimpia, el templo de Apolo, el castillo de Methoni y la histórica bahía de Navarino se encuentran a poca distancia en coche, la antigua capital griega de Naflión y Epidavros hacen una gran excursión de un día.

Gorgeous house

The house and especially the pool is fabulous in a beautiful setting with wow views. It worked great with our gang of teenagers and had all the facilities and kitchen equipment you might need. Really nicely done. Ellie could not have been more helpful and warm and responsive. My gripe is with the misleading online presentation that it sleeps 10 with 5 bedrooms which is what we were after. When we arrived we were told we would only get the main house and the annex was extra. This is because we originally thought only 2 of the teens were joining us but actually 2 additional kids decided to meet us mid interrailing. This caused a complication when checking in and being charged an extra amount.

Blissful Stay in Zaharo

The most glorious house with everything you could possibly need for a really relaxing and comfortable stay. The view is simply breathtaking, the master bedroom is wonderfully comfortable. The clever insect screens meant that meals were mozzi and bug free. The gorgeous pool was perfect for cooling off or doing ‘laps’. Ellie the manager was wonderful and the house and surroundings were impeccable. It’s been the most heavenly restorative time. I would, without hesitation, come back again and lucky, lucky anyone who comes to stay. Zaharo has everything you need for food shopping. The beaches are fabulous and you are in the heart of Ancient Greece with lots to see if you can be tempted away from the pool and peace. Hugest thanks. Peter and Charlotte xx

Incredible vistas

The property provides a remarkable view over the town, olive groves, hills and ocean. The house is beautiful, and makes the most of its surroundings, with wonderful outdoor dining areas, balconies, places to read and relax. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds comfortable, and the layout lends itself to reading, games, yoga, and conversations. The manager was an attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant host.

A really amazing place to stay with spectacular views- very high quality

Everything was lovely - the furnishings and rooms, the pool and bathing area, all the terraces. The position of the house is really amazing and everything felt luxurious and quality but still authentic and Greek. The house is looked after very well by Charles and Ellie who also gave us some great ideas for places to go. Really recommend it - had a lovely stay here.

What an amazing place

We booked this place without really knowing anything about the region or the location and we were blown away by the beauty of the property and its surrounds! One of the most amazing views I’ve seen. We were close enough for a day trip to Olympia and for another day at the beach. Kids loved the pool even early in the season. We absolutely loved this property!

Beautiful house in a secluded spot

Beautiful house, well equipped and with an exceptional view. The house managers, Charles & Ellie we’re on hand to sort out the various issues we had with electrics and plumbing. The pool was perfect and nearby there are some great beaches and of course ancient sites. A wonderful place for a Grecian getaway.

A hidden gem

We have had a wonderful time (June) at this amazing property. The house is clean, off the beaten pass, has a really nice pool, and lots of nature around it. the communication with the property managers was easy, quick and focused. They greeted us at the agreed upon check in time, showed us around and gave us helpful tips for the stay. We would come again any time!

My family and I stayed for one week at The Old Olive House.We had a stupendous time-Lovely views, serene location and a wonderful family-Charles,Ellie and their daughter-who made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable.I really cannot say enough positive descriptions about it!! Dream farmhouse

This is a beautiful house and property. The location is somewhat remote which means driving to town and beach, but it's blissfully private and serene. The views are magnificent. The home is tastefully and comfortably furnished and decorated. The kitchen is very well supplied with high quality utensils which made cooking a pleasure. The hardest part was leaving this terrific vacation home.

Great house with stunning views

We had a very enjoyable holiday. It is very peaceful and there was little building work taking place when we stayed. We would have liked more hot water for showers morning and evening for 6 adults. Zacharo beach is very beautiful but with rough sea, it was not safe to swim in. Ellie is very responsive to requests for help and the wine/milk/bread in the fridge for us on arrival was very welcoming. Thank you.

A Magical Stay at The Old Olive House

We had a truly memorable stay at The Old Olive House. The charm and hospitality were evident from the moment we arrived. The house has a beautiful old-world character that added a special touch to our vacation—something we rarely experience back in the States.The house fit our family of six perfectly, with plenty of space to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. The pool was absolutely lovely—the perfect temperature for a refreshing dip—and the view from the property was simply incredible, especially at sunset.The grounds were well cared for and bursting with beautiful flowers, adding even more to the home’s charm. One highlight of our trip was a dinner at Antipeina, a fantastic little spot tucked in the hills. The food was out of this world, the staff and owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the setting was picture-perfect—adorable and romantic, with a breathtaking view as the sun went down.We’re so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend The Old Olive House to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway full of character and local flavor.Thank you, Ellie.

This property is very special!

We really enjoyed our 10 days at The Old Olive House. The house is spacious, clean, well laid out and nicely situated. Even though it was February, we had great sun and comfortable temperatures. This is a real chance to experience life in Greece and get away from Athens. Charles and Ellie provided great support both before our arrival and afterwards. There is lots to do in the area especially if you enjoy the outdoors. We highly recommend this property.

Stunning View, Lovely House

Spacious, cool, clean and well laid out villa with views to die for across the Med and rolling Olive covered hills. Charles and family extremely helpful from booking to the stay itself. If you did require anything nothing would have been too much trouble. Quiet area of Greece, but with easy access to places such as Ancient Olympia and Ancient Messini, plus lots of local beaches. Swimming pool enjoyed the great views and despite it being October was still warm enough to swim in every day. Perfect for a family to enjoy!

Old Olive House

The managers were friendly and helpful , always responded promptly- thank you. The pool was divine and the view from house patios is unbeatable. Not quite the luxurious escape we had in mind as far as the house goes. Missing a few touches to bring it to luxury scale - such as no shampoo, very little soap and no beach towels. Two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom - downstairs bathroom was very tiny - shower water ran into the space. Decor a little tired. Also we believed we had the use of the guest house however apparently it must be booked as an extra- not an issue but would have been nice for one of the couples privacy. The place is a fair way out of town but we got used to navigating the narrow roads and the locals waved out once they knew we were harmless. Close to Olympia and Ressene sites. Lots of nice coffee shops and bakeries in town. We loved the visits from goats, hare hound dogs, and cats. Construction noise from below was everyday starting at 7..30 am until evenings. Got used to it . Overall a really lovely spot but not quite as luxurious as described. .

Early summer break

Overall we had a great holiday our hosts ellie and Charlie were really helpful And welcoming. however we were there for a week and the first three days a builder directly below our property working on new holiday houses started breaking up large rocks with a jcb and hammer drill so what we had hoped would be a peaceful week certainly didn’t turn out that way. The noise was horrendous and constant from 8am-5pm - Ellie and Charlie had not been aware of this work and did speak to the builder who ceased using the heavy machinery from mid week which was a welcome relief but so upsetting given we were only there for a week and picked the property for its total tranquility . The area is very rural and unspoilt and the property is lovely and had everything we had hoped for and was well equipped. You have far distant sea views and overlook olive groves but you certainly cannot walk to the beach a car is therefore absolutely essential. We had two earthquake tremors during our stay .. very minor and we were told common in this area but a little alarming when we had never experienced anything like it before. The local town a short drive away has supermarkets and a selection of shops so you can get everything you need for a self catering holiday. The property is in a stunning location but certainly wouldn’t be a place to take young children as there are steep steps down to the pool area and once down by the pool it isn’t fenced.

Séjour parfait !

À quelques kilomètres de Zacharo, avec une vue imprenable sur la mer, isolé de tout bruit ou agitation, nous avons profité pleinement de cette villa (sans louer la dépendance). À 6 personnes, cette villa offre tout le confort attendu d’une villa de vacances. Un vrai merci à Ellie et Charles pour leur accueil et leurs bons conseils.

Originally brought up in Australia and now living in London, we love to escape to this amazing corner of Greece - very undiscovered yet so close to such famous sights.

First the beaches!! Long sandy and unspoilt - like Australia but without the 24 hour flight! Swimming with turtles. Unspoilt local tavernas with amazing food and amazing prices.

We try to make the house not like a rental but with all the things we love - Le Creuset pans, lovely crockery and linen, antiques. But overall it’s the incredible view from every room that makes this house unique .
