Our apartment is one of only two apartments for rent in the beloved former Diver’s Paradise Bonaire Resort. This peaceful enclave is now home to a small number of individually owned vacation apartments. Our unit offers a rare combination of privacy, convenience, and original dive resort infrastructure—a combination that’s increasingly hard to find due to Bonaire’s restrictions on short-term rentals in residential zones. Fortunately, this property was grandfathered in, allowing us to continue welcoming guests while honoring the intent of local regulations.
As part of our commitment to sustainable tourism and mindful hosting, we’re dedicated to preserving the quiet, respectful character of the Hato residential neighborhood. We believe in travel that supports—not overwhelms—local communities. That means minimizing disruption and noise, limiting traffic, maintaining a low-impact footprint, and fostering a peaceful environment for both residents and guests.
We especially encourage longer stays, which help support this mission. Extended visits mean fewer turnovers, less transportation strain, and deeper engagement with the island’s rhythm and culture. Longer stays also reduce the overall environmental impact per guest, while contributing to a more thoughtful, connection-based travel model—the kind that Bonaire is known for and working to protect.
To support this goal, we offer a 10% discount for stays of 8 nights or more. It’s our way of thanking guests who travel with intention and want to experience the island at a more relaxed, immersive pace.

PET POLICY
We welcome (1) well-trained dog with prior approval.
• Dog Guest Fee: $40/night
• Guests are expected to clean up after their dogs both inside and on communal
HOA property.
• Dogs must be kept on leash while on HOA property.
• Keep dogs out of the garden areas located in front of all ground-floor units.
Additional charges may be incurred for:
• Excessive pet-related cleaning
• Reported barking disturbances
• Damage to furniture, property, or HOA common areas
• HOA fines for pet-related issues will be passed along to the guest
Undisclosed Pets
• An on-site property manager will be enforcing the pet policy.
• If you are found to have an undisclosed pet with you, there will be a $140/night
penalty
• There will be immediate reporting to Vrbo for violation of guest policies +
possible eviction without refund
