There is WiFi service at the cabin! Pretend it's not there if you really want to disconnect. Know it is available if you need it. :)

Our cabin is great for a staycation, as a work-from-home alternative, or for families.

The location of the cabin is perfectly off the beaten path. There is a steep, narrow, paved road up to the cabin. All vehicles can navigate this road but with caution.

The South Branch Potomac River is within a 10-minute drive and offers boating, kayaking, and trout fishing.

Moorefield is located 12 minute away and offers shopping, dining, movie theatre, and bowling.

Dolly Sods within 25 miles. For the wine enthusiast, West-Whitehill Winery is located 15 miles away.

Brighton Park is 13 miles away. It's a park that offers picnic tables, outdoor park for little kids, hiking, kayaking, and fishing.

Breezewood Adventures is 14 miles away and offers services such as kayaking, canoeing and fishing.

Petersburg is 21 miles away. You can enjoy the beautiful town exploring historical sites and visiting diverse stores such as the well-known called South Side Depot.

The cabin is located just 30 miles from Seneca Rocks Trailhead and 27 miles from Lost River State Park. About 1 hour away from Timberline Mountain, Canaan Valley and White Grass Ski Resort.

The Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad is located 22 miles away in Romney, WV and offers breathtaking trips through the South Branch Potomac River Trough and mountains, known for potential Bald Eagle sightings and goes to Sycamore Creek and back. It runs from April to December and offers meal services as well.

The cabin was nice and clean and although it looked a little more spacious in the pictures it was nice and cozy and perfect for what we needed. Flor was easy to contact and pleasantly accommodating. Thankyou for a great stay!

Despite some initial frustrations, I just want to say wow! My partner and I are celebrating our 7th anniversary. We procrastinated in booking for the area we originally intended and landed on this gem. The location is fantastic and secluded. I'm sure the star gazing is fantastic, but we had an almost full moon instead. We enjoyed using the fire pit daily and lounging on the screened in porch. Finding fire wood can be difficult in this area, unfortunately. On our last night we had a small burst of rain followed by the most fantastic double rainbow. We had a great weekend and would love to return.

This is the cutest little cabin. It’s nestled out of the way and is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Also, close to some amazing places for hiking.

The rental is advertised as a stargazing destination. Unfortunately, there was a lot of light pollution—above the tree line, at a distance across the valley and from the house directly below. The house, too, is lit up at night. The second day we attempted to cover the solar lights but it didn’t dim the brightness. We went based on the info provided from reviews and by the host/owner. -I’d recommend red lights for outside of the property if you’re specifically advertising this as a stargazing destination, the bright white light absolutely kills it-if you are trying to photograph the Milky Way/stars, etc… there is a too much light at this location -I appreciate the cleanliness-we followed the instructions for unlocking the door at check in and couldn’t get in, took 40 minutes to get a hold of someone. It’s a ‘known issue’ and it should be communicated to renters clearly so they don’t waste time

I apologize that you could not enjoy stargazing at night. I’ve never had any problem with it. Sometimes the view is better than others, depending on the weather. In regard to the problem you had entering the house, I never received any messages, calls or emails from you stating that you were having a problem. If you would have contacted me, I could have opened it from my end using my phone. The instructions on how to open are also on my site and I believe VRBO sends you an email with all the instructions. Again my sincere apologies your stay didn’t go as planned.

Absolutely a fantastic place to stay! The road leading up to the cabin does take some maneuvering of the vehicle through the curves but easily done. It was very quiet and comfortable with all the needed amenities there for your stay. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch. The stars were amazing to see along with the deer. Flor quickly responsive when needed. Highly recommend staying here!

This is a wonderful little cabin in the middle of nowhere. We wanted to unwind and be away from it all for a bit. The night sky was incredible, we were able to track satellites moving across the sky, and saw a couple meteors. Fire pit was great as well!The cabin itself was very nice, very cozy, fully functional kitchen, comfortable bedding, and worked well for 3 of us. It's a log cabin, so the wonderful smell of wood is present when you enter (the cabin has a great smell!). Blackwater falls isn't too far away, and it's just a beautiful area in general.

Deer, Rainbows & a Fire Moon — Cabin Magic!

We had the most peaceful and memorable stay at the cabin. It was beautifully and thoughtfully appointed—cozy, clean, and filled with charm. We were lucky enough to spot deer right outside, saw vibrant rainbows stretch across the sky, and watched stars that felt close enough to touch. One night, the moon glowed like fire over the mountains—absolutely magical. And there’s nothing quite like the soothing sound of rain on the tin roof to lull you to sleep. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect escape.

Our stay was fantastic! We loved our cabin and also loved watching all of the nearby wildlife! Our stay was near the top of a mountain and in a beautiful wooded area. We had a clear view of the mountains and what a wonderful way to start our day! The cabin was lovely, clean and comfortable with a beautiful well stocked kitchen. Thanks to our lovely hosts we had everything we could possibly need. Our hosts were fantastic! During our stay we visited Old Fields (historical & ancestral sites), Moorfield, Davis, Black Canyon State Park (beautiful waterfalls) and Shenandoah National Park. We would definitely stay here again.
