The positives: The staff at this property was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The hot water in the kitchen and bathroom was excellent, far better than most places I've stayed in Kenya, especially rural Kenya. The wifi internet was strong and reliable. Our pet dog was welcomed here.
The negatives:
The main issue I have with this cabin were the bugs. The cabin is not sealed, so bugs of all sizes are able to enter through the floor, windows, doors etc. We shared the property with many ants that went into our food and garbage, mosquitos, flies, spiders, etc. The cabin does not have a bug net for the bed (which is a standard at most lodges/cabins for this price point), or bug screens for the windows.
Additionally, there are no hooks or hangers for guests to hang their clothing. Very important because you want to keep your clothing off the floor and surfaces due to the bugs.
Guests should be comfortable with sharing the property with a family of warthogs - this is not an issue until the evening, when the hog sounds could keep you up at night.
Finally, this property is advertised as "Entire place
You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party." But guests should know that the property actually has 2 bedrooms which could be booked by other guests during your stay, which would mean sharing the kitchen and outdoor amenities. Fortunately we did not have to share, but it is a possibility.
