The house is beautiful, clean, close to the pool and walking distance to the beach. Also a 15 minute Uber drive to so many wonderful places to shop, eat, and experience Destin.One little negative is trying to get ahold of the property manager to ask a few questions, well I never received a response to the questions that I asked. So I called the maintenance number listed in the house and also listed on the app. I received the answers to my questions, and the staff I spoke with was very kind, and extremely helpful.

Family Vacation

Happily Ever After

We had a wonderful stay at Happily Ever After, plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and had almost everything we needed. The houses are close together, but we never heard anything too loud. Close to restaurants, but far enough from the main roads and traffic. I would definitely stay again.

Great Location

This place was everything it advertised. We really enjoyed our stay at Happly Ever After. We love that the pool was right across the street. The beach wasn't far and the shuttle was nice because it took you and picked you up from the beach. I would definitely stay here again. The Moody Family

Summer Getaway

The house was great for our family of 5, plus a few friends. The pool was wonderful being so close to the house. Beach was a bit of a walk for the younger one but we made it work. Being close to grocery stores was a bonus because traffic (construction) was major during our visit. We really had a wonderful time.

Great Location!

We had a wonderful stay and will certainly look to book this location again when we are in Destin. It is directly across from the Destin Commons area and approximately 4 blocks from the Crystal Sands beach. The unit is clean, well furnished, and has all you need for great stay. Do not let the map fool you. You can walk to the beach in 6-8 mins using the back entrance to the complex. The pool/hot tub is very nice. You simply can't beat the location!

Great place to vacation for family and friends

Check in was easy. When we were unable to locate something within the home, a quick text to the phone number elicited a very quick response by the management company. Thank you for a great place to stay for the week. And the pool area is amazing! One thing I should mention to whomever makes repairs, it seems as though the middle shower (the one above the pendant lights in the kitchen/dining room) leaks. We noticed water drip down the pedestal light right after a shower but the bathroom floor was not wet.

Great Property- Golf Carts not Allowed

The property was beautiful and clean. The stay overall was amazing. One con is that I rented a golf cart prior to the stay since the beach is about half a mile away and I have little children. The HOA knocked on the door at 10:30pm to make me move the golf cart or it was going to be towed. There is a pay to park lot outside the property but does cost $80 per day. I did use the cart to take my young family to and from the beach but was harassed each time the cart was parked at the home in the driveway. Overall the property was great just beware no golf carts allowed on the property at all.

Lovely place

It was a lovely house for 3 couples w/babies, but, not big enough for 4 couples, the pool was nice and was enjoyed by young & old alike, it was a short walk to the gulf & is in a convenient location w/restaurants & shopping nearby. Our main concern was that we did not hear back from Real Joy Vacations or from VRBO when I tried to contact them & when my husband left a phone message the first day w/Realjoy (the number that was printed on the refrigerator) and gave the exact problem, gave his number. He said that refrigerator & freezer weren’t working properly. Some of our food spoiled & ice cream melted. We would like to understand why & believe we deserve some type of refund for our food & our trouble (especially the $101 service fee, which we feel we did not receive good customer service). Otherwise, was a beautiful home & very comfortable.

Happy to stay but after check out not happy .

We not happy about real joy wristbands policy. It’s totally ridiculous and unfair policy for kids . Parents also not happy with it. Kids always like and play with wristbands. After we at home back and we received msg about wristbands. They said it’s supposed to stay in home and they asking us to send back . Otherwise they going to charge $300 . It’s just few dollar stuff and they threaten us about $300 dollar . It’s ridiculous and crazy . We send back four wristbands whatever our kids got it. Few of them in house but they saying they can’t find it. We spend in mailing $16 for sending back real joy costly forever wristbands. We never complain about his leaving room TV never work . Still they using old fashioned Tv . Hopefully they understand kids come for enjoyment. Thanks

Spring Break - 2020

So to begin with, the check in portal was not working when we arrived. After waiting on hold for more than an hour on the phone, I decided to drive to their office to retrieve my access code to enter the property. Even while at the office, the person we spoke with could not access the portal as well. During our first night, we all noticed that our feet were very dirty on the bottom. Not from walking around outside, but simply by walking around the inside of the house. The floors obviously had not been cleaned in a while and it showed. On the second night of our stay, the lights in the kitchen and dining room shorted out. After spending 30 minutes to try to locate the breaker box, I called after hours maintenance. I was on hold for around 2 hours before I finally deiced to call it a night and try the next day. The next morning, I called into the maintenance line and the call was immediately answered. The lady on the phone assured me that the breaker box was in the house and that I should look some more. After another 30 minutes of looking, and another hour on hold with maintenance, the same lady answered the call. She was able to locate a note on the record on the property that the breaker box was in an outside room that is locked and not accessible by the tenants, so maintenance was dispatched. Why she did not recognize this on the first call is beyond me. On the third morning, we noticed water coming from the center light in the kitchen (which probably explains the shorting of the lights). Upon returning to the unit later that day, we had a notice that maintenance had been by and could not find the leak (even though you could see the wet ring around the light). In addition, I asked them to check out the toilet in the hallway bathroom, which seem to continuously run, and they could not find a problem. Amazed by the lack of effort put forth by Realjoy,I decided to send an email to guest services about the issues and they sent out another maintenance person to check out the problems. Low and behold, they found an issue with the float valve in the toilet and repaired accordingly, but still could not find the leak around the light fixture. Overall, we did enjoy the house, but my goal was to be on vacation, not dealing with problems with my rental unit. I also did not expect to have to fight with the rental management company as well.

Beautiful home, great location

While the home was beautiful, we were missing the air mattress. We called the property manager and didn’t get a response until after 1:00am. Mr son had to sleep on the floor the first night. If you need anything after 5:00p , don’t expect a response until the next day.

Spring Break

The property was great. The only thing that I dinged on was the stove- we could only get a couple of burners to work and struggled to get ahold of anyone. The kitchen was the best stocked property I’ve every stayed in and the condo used space super well. Would definitely come back.
