We had a great experience staying at the Deer Creek Lodge. The location is very peaceful, the lodge was unique and a perfect size, and the hosts were very helpful. We will be back!

One thing for prospective guests to note is that the host requests guests to not put toilet paper down the toilet, but instead to throw away in the adjacent trash can. If you've been to a country where this is common (Peru, for example), not a big deal, but might be a bit unusual for others.

Very isolated, which we loved! I think 5 adult friends might need a place with more than one bathroom next time, but for a family, this place would be perfect!! I could imagine kids and teenagers LOVING exploring the field next to the house and the surrounding woods, streams. One of the bedrooms (the loft) is only accessible via ladder, but, again, kids would likely LOVE that. Kitchen is fully equipped and tv/internet were great. It was a lovely stay!
