We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful and quaint apartment! The space was spotless, well-furnished, and had every amenity we could possibly need. The hosts truly went above and beyond—always quick to respond and incredibly thoughtful throughout our stay.The location couldn’t have been better—right in the center of everything, with plenty of great restaurants, shops, and easy access to public transportation just steps away.One of the highlights was the lovely surprise the hosts left for us on our last day—a thoughtful and beautifully put-together gift box that really made our trip feel extra special.We can’t recommend this place enough and would absolutely love to stay here again on our next visit!

great layout and great location, but...

...there were a few issues. There was a bad (think sewage) smell in the apartment much of the time we were there. We were told that it is something that happens from time to time because of something with the winds. It seems like something that having an s-bend or p-trap in the plumbing would help. We mitigated it by putting plastic bags over the floor drains, and always closing the sink drains when we weren't using them. The apartment is well set-up with 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms--a great setup for our family of 4. The AC was a blessing on some very hot days, and the outdoor patio with dining table was a lovely place to enjoy breakfast. Be aware that there is a washer but no dryer, so allow time for clothes to hang to dry. The location is wonderful--only a short walk to Istiklal and Galata neighbourhoods, with so many restaurants close by. Metro and tram lines are within a short walk, so it's easy to get anywhere else you may want to go (be prepared for a steep street).We had some difficulty reaching the apartment from the airport, because the full address was not showing in the VRBO inbox message, and there was no active address link. We had the phone number for the check-in person (who was very pleasant but whose English is quite limited) and had to ask our taxi driver to phone them.

Comfortable and convenient (walking) to most areas of Istanbul. Needs a few small upgrades to interior furnishings. Two small showers and Bedrooms up a rather awkward staircase. Owner very responsive and good value for location and comfort.

The property is a basement converted to two levels . The size is 25 meters and they squeezed things inside after they made two levels . Way way overpriced . It should be 25 dollars per night and they charge 200 per night.

Perfect place!!

Amazing spot for our short stay in Istanbul.Very private and peaceful flat, great location in terms of walking to many things or getting on the tube. The place itself completely brand new ,modern, spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and brand new. The kitchen is very useful and comes with everything you need. Berk was super friendly when we briefly met, made us feel right at home and let us leave our luggage all day when we had a late flight on check out day. Loved it, would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great flat for family of 5!

Spent the last week of 2014 in Berk's conveniently located flat. We were able to walk to many of Istanbul's major attractions and access to public transportation was just a short (but steep) few minutes away. The flat is just as pictured and very comfortable. There are several small grocery shops nearby making it easy to have breakfast at the flat.

Fantastic Property

This property is fantastic. As mentioned previously by many other users, my family and I would highly recommend staying here and would love to stay here again. Beautiful space.Berk was super friendly and helpful upon arriving. The neighborhood is quiet and yet close to great restaurants, bars, subways and grocery stores.Just few minutes to main metro and tram line which you can explore the city.Thanks Berk for hosting us in your home.

Berk super helpful - quickly and thoroughly answering all our questions before arrival and during our stay. Txted to check on us daily. Very well appointed apartment in every way. Super clean, lovely interior. Outside city aroma never moved inside the flat. Located in family neighborhood. Felt secure in the neighborhood and in the apt even during a political demonstration which occurred during our stay. Excellent location for tourists coming to Istanbul. Highly recommend Berk and this apartment!

Great Apartment and Great Host!

I would highly recommend staying in this apartment because 1. Berk is an EXCELLENT host and 2. The apartment is fabulous and well located. I’ll start with Berk. Any questions or concerns that I had were always very promptly answered, which is not only helpful, but also reassuring. In addition to stocking the kitchen with snacks and drinks, which is a thoughtful touch, he also made sure that we had some extra bottled water when we arrived, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, Berk arranged two airport transfers (from and to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport) for us, which was very convenient. The drivers were punctual and vehicles were spacious. Berk also arranged for us to leave our luggage in the apartment on the day of our departure because our flight was later in the evening. This was a HUGE help as it allowed us to explore the city without the nuisance of lugging our luggage around. Payments were easy. In terms of the apartment, it suited our group of 4 people (2 couples), very well. The fact that the apartment is spread over two floors and includes indoor and outdoor living space, gives everyone room to spread out. We definitely sat outside on the patio to enjoy a home-cooked meal and glasses of wine. The apartment is well decorated, bright, and very clean!! The pictures provided accurately show off this lovely apartment. Location: The apartment is located very close to Galata Tower, Istiklal Street, and the Tophane tram station, which will take you directly into the Old Town across the Golden Horn. Berk provides an Istanbul Card, which is great because it can be topped up to use on public transport and you’ll get a discounted price! Plus, one card can be used by multiple people, so no need to worry about getting additional cards. Overall, we had a perfect stay. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment and Berk for his hospitality.

Perfect Holiday

I stayed in Berk's appartment for 6 nights. The appartment is very cozy and bright and it had all the necessary facilities. I have appreciated a lot the bed which was very comfortable and the fact that the neighbourhood is very quite and safe. The appartment is located very close to Galata Tower and underground station.In addition there are many shops, restaurants and supermarkets in the area, which makes it ideal to either cook at home or eat it outside. Finally I would like to leave my last words for Berk.He was very hospitable & helpfull and he did all that he could to make my stay as much comfortable as possible.Berk thank you very much for everything!

Highly recommend to everyone

We had a perfect time at Berk's place. The house,nice garden and the rooms are lovely, clean and modern. It's just a very short walk to Galata,Istikal Street and to the tube .Berk is very hospitable and kind. We will absolutely stay with him again. I really recommend those with family especially with children to book.Not only you get a superb place to stay; more importantly you have someone trusworthy like Berk to liaise with while you are in Istanbul. I came with a family of 6; 2 old people and 4 children; accomodated our early check in and provided food. If you have children its really worth it. My kids enjoyed the garden I would definitely recommend everyone ! ! !

Luxury apartment

We very much enjoyed staying at Berk’s apartment over the weekend. With two adults and two teenagers, there was plenty of space for us.Berk’s flat is convenient, comfortable and tastefully decorated.Berk is very responsive to questions and highly accomodating. Check-in and check-out was easy-going.He gave us a warm reception and tour upon arrival and also provided us with some great restaurant recommendations in the neighborhood.Also he provide us Istanbul card for all city transportation.Overall we had a fabulous time. Thank you Berk! I highly recommend this flat to anyone looking for a cool place to stay

Perfect Stay & Perfect Apartment

Had an excellent time in Istanbul.Berk and his apartment has everything that we needed. Perfect host, perfect location and perfect apartment.The flat is massive so no need to worry that you will be tight for space, we all fit in comfortably.Arrival gift was a great,bottle of vine with snacks and fruit basket..Amazing!! I would definitely recommend to all my friends and when I return I hope the place will be free. We had no issues, and nothing to complain about.

Very modern and perfect location

The house is large,quite and very nice, with beautiful features, comfortable beds in bedrooms. It has a great terracegarden, modern kitchen. The wellcoming gift was really great.A very nice vine and fruits basket will be waiting for you when you checkin plus all soft drinks and snacks..was really very thoughtful You will find a huge Toiletries even including a band-aid and sewing kit plus bathrobe and slippers which makes you really feel at your own home. In the neighborhood you will find a variety of nice shops, places to eat, go for a coffee and also best clubs in town. Although apartment is just in the center of Taksim Galata area it's very easy to get around in the city by tub where station is 3 minutes.Berk gives you “Istanbul Card” for free to use in all transportation in town We really enjoyed our stay, and can highly recommend this house to anyone!

A Modern and Quite Apartment with Great Location

We spent a long weekend at Berk's place in Istanbul.There were 5 of us and there was a huge space for all of us at this apartment. Situated in Galata,Beyoglu, where the location is awesome.The apartment itself has been wonderfully refurbished and redecorated.You will have snacks,vine,fruits and all soft drinks as complimentary which feels really great on your arrival after a flight. Berk was very helpful during the time of booking, afterwards as well as during our stay there. With Istanbul Card which you will have it in your apartment you can use all city transportation easily I would truly recommend this apartment to anyone.We loved the place and would return there any day!

Great flat in Galata

The apartment was everything we expected and more. It was spacious, well-appointed, and conveniently located near Galata, a Whole Foods, easy subway rides to all city, and lovely neighborhood restaurants and bars. The amenities and layout provided both of us (two couples) with an open kitchen/living space and we enjoyed early morning coffee and end-of-the day glasses of wine in ourgarden.The description of the apartment is accurate and the photos certainly reflect the overall beauty of the apartment. Berk was incredible hosts --we felt truly welcomed to be staying in his place. From the moment we signed up for the apartment to the moment we said goodbye, he was very communicative and responsive. His recommendations were very helpful to us before we arrived and during our stay. We regretted saying goodbye to the apartment.Recommend to anyone..Thanks!!

Pefect location

From my very first communication with Berk, he presented himself as professional, timely, and eager to assist us. Upon our arrival, we found the apartment to be impeccable. All of the requests we had made were fulfilled. The apartment was perfect and slept all 6 of us more than comfortably. Having breakfast in your Private garden was really great. The wireless internet worked perfectly throughout our stay and was very quick.Flat also has playstation and a very nice dvd archive The apartment truly felt like a home to us when we were there, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a central, modern place to stay in Istanbul.

Modern, Quiet Apartment near Beyoglu

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this newly renovated apartment. It had a great location -- five minutes walk to Galata, five minutes into Beyoglu -- all very convenient. There were two good sized bedrooms and a large living area. Also there were snacks and beverages provided when we arrived. The only challenge was that the street was not well known to taxi drivers, and so it was sometimes difficult to navigate back. The trick was to have them drop you off a couple of blocks away and walk the rest. Would definitely recommend this apartment for stays in Istanbul -- having a nice kitchen, washer/dryer, and outdoor terrace made us feel very comfortable.

Excellent Apartment

We stayed at the at Berk’s place for a Girls' weekend and absolutely loved our stay! the flat is exactly as pictured, bright, open, spacious, well laid out.Berk was fantastic from the moment we applied to stay until we left - open and regular communication, accomodated our timings, kept asking if there was anything we needed or any way she could help. I'd definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place to stay in heart of Istanbul..
