Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! Located in Sedona's famous and beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. A sanctuary from the heat, typically 10-15 degrees cooler than Sedona; this creekside cabin is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by forest, magnificent mountain views, hiking trails out the front door and creek swimming pools within walking distance.
A short drive to Sedona, NAU, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Slide Rock, Jerome/wine country, West Fork, and iconic hiking trails.
The space
The Area:
There are an endless number of activities nearby, including world class mountain biking, flyfishing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, gallery hopping, golf, Sedona vortex experiences, Pink Jeep Tours, autumn leaf peeping, stargazing, swimming, birdwatching, rock climbing, shopping, sightseeing and scenic drives.
A short drive to Sedona’s downtown shopping, NAU, Grand Canyon National Park, Flagstaff, Slide Rock, Jerome/Arizona’s wine country, West Fork, Lake Powell, Wupatki National Monument, Monument Valley, Painted Desert, Prescott, and iconic hiking trails like Devil’s Bridge Trail, Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock.
The space:
The entire cabin is yours to enjoy, and this three bedroom, one bathroom lodge has plenty of room for your stay! An additional media room (3rd bedroom) adds a bonus sleeping space for 2 guests. A cozy, relaxed atmosphere, and all the essentials you will need for a wonderful stay in the canyon, this home is the perfect cabin getaway to enjoy the outdoors and spend quality time with those you love! Large windows bring the outdoors in, with spacious front and back yards and great views of the creek from the upstairs loft!
Living Space:
This spacious, inviting, open-concept layout features vaulted ceilings, soft leather couches, a dining space and open loft to create the perfect hangout area! There is an HD flat screen TV with Roku to login to your streaming accounts and WiFi is provided for your convenience. The home is stocked with board games, puzzles and cards for hours of entertainment while you create memories that will last a lifetime. By day, utilize the heating and A/C system, offering year-round comfort. The lodge holds a fairly consistent temperature of about 68 degrees throughout the summer, even without the AC on.
Kitchen:
The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals; complete with an oven/stove-top, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, stand Kitchen-Aid mixer, blender and coffee maker! It has plenty of pots/pans, utensils, and is stocked with coffee/sugar, your basic spices and olive oil.
**Note: You might want to purchase groceries before heading into the canyon! Sedona and Flagstaff both have Whole Foods, Safeway and Bashas, with additional other stores in Flagstaff. Don Holes has great coffee and some last minute necessities within a five minute drive.
First Bedroom:
Located on the main floor, you’ll enjoy a plush, Brooklyn Bedding Hybrid queen-sized bed. This room features a closet, dresser, nightstands, lamp, ceiling fan and large window with views to the backyard and creek.
Second Bedroom:
Located on the first floor, with a plush, Brooklyn Bedding Hybrid king-sized mattress. This room features a closet, dresser, nightstands, lamps, ceiling fan and large window with views to the backyard and creek.
Media Room:
With a trundle bed, this space accommodates an additional two guests! The mattresses lay side by side for a bed the equivalent size of a king bed. There is also a comfortable leather couch, ottoman, TV and dresser.
** Note: Due to the nature of the loft area, it may not be suitable for small children. It is a railed open loft.
Bathrooms:
This home has one spacious private bathroom located in the hall between the downstairs bedrooms. Linens are provided for all sleeping spaces, as well as bath towels and washcloths for each guest. A hair dryer, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are also provided for your convenience. We do not use harsh chemicals or perfumes in the cabin and our linens are washed with allergen free detergent and no dryer sheets.
The property is meticulously maintained, and the interior is professionally cleaned and checked before each guest.
**NOTE: Smoke Detectors, Carbon Monoxide Detectors and Fire Extinguisher (under the kitchen sink) are stationed throughout the home for your safety, along with a full home fire suppression system.
GETTING AROUND:
A short walk from the cabin to Oak Creek for endless water fun and a 20-25 minute drive to explore great food, art galleries, antique shops and unique boutique stores in Sedona. During certain times of the year, the area hosts live music, community parades, and entertainment events. Nearby outdoor adventure includes golfing, fishing, hiking, biking, bird watching, skiing, hunting and so much more.
Oak Creek Canyon is conveniently located to explore the best of Northern Arizona. It is a short 20-25 minute drive to Sedona, 20 minutes to Flagstaff, one hour to Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Jerome and only 1.75 hours from the Grand Canyon!
Guest access: Guests have access to the entire property.
This area is a quiet, serene community in which only a small number of homes are rentals. Noise carries easily in the canyon. We ask that you please be mindful of this and courteous to our neighbors. Quiet hours begin at 10pm and end at 7am. NO parties allowed.
Other things to note:
If visiting in the winter or spring months, 4-wheel drive is recommended. The creek passage at the entrance of the neighborhood can occasionally have creek water running over the road from time-to-time and may require you to park along the highway and walk to the cabin. Sometimes it is passable with 4-wheel drive but that is at your discretion and we are not held responsible for unsuccessful creek crossings.
While the exterior porch and furniture is cleaned after each stay, during certain times of the year you may experience more debris from weather, native plants, and pollen. In the event the outdoor space is not sufficiently clean to your liking we provide a vacuum and basic cleaning supplies that can be used at your convenience.
Please do not exceed the occupancy of 6 guests at any given time. Please, no pets (not even just to visit), no parties, and no smoking in or around the property. Additional fines for each violation will be charged to the guest who booked and you will forfeit the remainder of your stay with no refund.
If you desire an early check in, please reach out to us the morning of your scheduled arrival. We do our absolute best to accommodate early check in's when possible. We often have same day check outs and check ins so we just need to ensure that our cleaner has enough time to properly clean and restock the home and that our maintenance crew has sufficient time to take care of any needed items prior to your arrival.
Booking over 2 weeks (14 days) will require a mandatory mid-stay cleaning, billed separately, in addition to the cleaning charged at booking.
We do accept alteration requests, but ask that they be made at least 14 days prior to the start of your original reservation date. Acceptance of the alteration request is at the host's discretion.
