Welcome to Firefly Cottage, a beautifully built 2-bedroom, 2-bath lake-access vacation rental in Lake Martin’s sought-after Kowaliga area. Completed in 2023, this cozy yet modern retreat offers peaceful surroundings and convenient access to marinas, wedding venues, and local events—ideal for families, couples, or small groups.



Now managed by Rentals on Lake Martin, Firefly Cottage is new to our program but already well-loved by returning guests. This charming retreat has built a loyal following under previous management, and we’re proud to continue that tradition of comfort, care, and Southern hospitality.

This thoughtfully designed home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests, with a queen bed in each bedroom, a bunk bed alcove, and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. Inside, you’ll enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, a welcoming living room with a wood-burning fireplace, and TVs in every room, including Hulu with Disney+ and ESPN for streaming your favorite shows and games.

The covered back porch overlooks a quiet, professionally stocked 5-acre fishing pond—a great spot to relax with morning coffee or wind down in the evening. Fishing is allowed, and guests are welcome to keep what they catch. Please note that swimming in the pond is not permitted. Guests are welcome to bring their kayaks or paddleboards, or rent water gear from the nearby Adventure Center at Russell Crossroads—just minutes away.

Lake Martin access is just 150–200 yards away, with a shared community space that includes:

A boat ramp and staging area



12 boat slips (first come, first serve)



Multiple tie-off spots around a small peninsula



A fire pit, picnic tables, tire swing, and green space for outdoor fun

Seasonal Water Level Notice:

Lake Martin water levels are managed by Alabama Power and typically begin lowering in September or October, depending on rainfall and annual water management decisions. Levels generally start rising again around March 1st each year. During the off-season, water depth at docks and boat slips may be lower during that time, than shown in summer photos.
