Boathouse living ofrece hermosas vistas panorámicas del lago desde todos los lados. Disfruta de noches tranquilas mientras escuchas el relajante sonido del agua / bribones en nuestra caseta para botes de escala superior, construida directamente sobre el agua del popular Lago Esqueleto. Conocido como 'El secreto mejor guardado de Muskoka', en el corazón de Muskoka, Skeleton Lake ofrece calas de natación arenosas, excelente pesca, deportes acuáticos, senderismo y cálidas puestas de sol de verano.
Nuestra hermosa casa de botes construida a medida es un tesoro gratificante ubicado al final de un camino sinuoso de 3 kilogramos, y está muy cómodamente decorada con antigüedades, tiene una sala de estar de concepto abierto con un sofá cama queen size, un comedor y una cocina totalmente equipada (incl. Lavavajillas / microondas). También hay una pantalla plana / TV vía satélite (DVD). Una habitación separada ofrece una hermosa vista del lago mientras está acostado en la cama queen size. Hay muelles inferiores a ambos lados para nadar y sombra, así como una gran cubierta superior que incluye varias sillas Muskoka para broncearse y barbacoa para cocinar al aire libre. This was a wonderful location. We were very pleased with the accommodations and Lorrie was a wonderful host. Everything was as we expected, and Lorrie checked in with us several times to make sure we didn't have any issue. Highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful time. We got to see the sunrise and set every morning it was spectacular. We enjoyed the morning canoe ride, swimming. The lake is so clean you can see straight to the bottom. The whole boat house was very clean and organized. Communication was very easy. Everyone was so kind and helpful. If your looking for a wonderful getaway look no further it's a trip that is truly unforgettable!

A great getaway

The boathouse was the perfect getaway for the week. The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable and everything was in its right place. Very quiet and beautiful sunrises and sunsets with sun all day. Lake is pristine and clean. Host was great to work with.

Boathouse Vacation

A unique experience. Wonderful views, sunrise, sunset. Lovely accommodation it felt comfortable and like home almost immediately. Be prepared for the 35+ steps, in stages, down to the boathouse.

With most properties that have gorgeous views, there are Usually some steps or paths to get to the beautiful destination. Most of our guests do not have an issue as this is part of the cottage experience. Please note that we have someone to help to the water should you find that you would like to return in the future. We throughly enjoyed hosting you.

This is really a special place ... spectacular views, clean, comfortable & unique! The boathouse is beautifully designed & easily accommodated our family of four adults! The hosts surpassed all expectations & offered a personal introduction & tour of Skeleton Lake! So many water toys to enjoy lake living at it's best! So perfect ... I don't know whether to recommend it to everyone I know, or keep it a secret!

Beautiful boathouse

We really enjoyed our week at the boathouse. It's clean, very comfortable and well equipped for cooking. The views are incredible and swimming off the dock is pristine. It was peaceful and quiet, very relaxing. We'd love to return! The only thing we would ask in advance of our next stay is whether the main cottage is being used to host other guests - towards the end of our week it was occupied by a group of friends and this affected the quiet/privacy - but overall, it was a great stay.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. The boathouse is a very special and unique experience . We do not host guests at the main cottage. This is our family cottage. It's too bad you felt there was some noise. We have never had a noise complaint in the past . If this is the case I'm sure we were making great memories with great friends. We certainly look forward to having you come back. Please note this is our family cottage we do have some friends come to visit on occasion.

Beautiful and Cozy

We enjoyed our stay. The property was just as described. The lake is beautiful and extremely tranquil. Stars were spectacular. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, etc. but you will need to provide everything else other than salt and pepper. There is dish and dishwasher soap but bring your own bath/hand soap. I don’t recommend having more than two people staying here, unless it’s your children. We would gladly return!

We are so glad that you enjoyed staying at the boathouse. We feel that it is a special place that we are fortunate enough to be able to share. Upon your return you will find plenty of spices, as well as olive oil and balsamic vinegar. As well the bathroom pine armoire is stocked with toiletries. If you would like to bring guests when you return, we would be happy to host you at our new cozy 2 bedroom cottage on Skeleton Lake. Which is in a quiet bay with a sand beach, private dock and firepit. We look forward to your return!

Hello Evan. It is unfortunate you didn't enjoy your stay. As you know we are A 5 star property. Yes, we had some work being done and when you arrived we immediately notified the people working on the cottage next door to pack up and leave. We take a lot of pride in our property and want to make sure all of our maintenance is done in between our guest’s schedules. Our guests come first!! In all fairness the construction definitely did not go on all weekend. It ceased immediately. It was unfortunate they woke you when they came back to pack their tools the next morning. As it is a boathouse, In our documents we do advise that we have a boat in the boathouse. Sorry you missed that. It also says that if you do not want us to access it to let us know. Since we didn’t hear from you, we thought it was ok to come and take the boat. We are sorry you misunderstood. It was removed and not returned.I believe the other boat noise was Coming from the boats that go by on the lake. I was happy to arrange a tour of the lake and a discount, however we find that you are a hard guest to please. It’s unfortunate because all of our guests Love it and most Return regularly. We take pride in our 5 star rating. I understand as well that is was a new experience for you. Staying right on the lake is unique and beautiful. On a more positive note I was very happy that you mentioned it was a beautiful spot when we spoke. Again, we apologize that you were woken up.

Summer at the Boathouse!

Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful week at the Boathouse. It is a beautiful space, inside and out. We made good use of the kayaks and canoe, exploring the shoreline in both directions, and all of the pretty islands off-shore. The cliffs over by Rosebud Island are spectacular! Fantastic swimming off the boathouse dock, with deep, crystal clear water. We also really enjoyed all the decks, which allow you to 'follow the sun' from morning until evening. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortably furnished. We had never spent time before in Muskoka, and definitely see now why people describe the lakes and forests there in such glowing terms! Lots of wildlife, with resident beavers swimming under the boathouse and along the shore each day, a pair of loons off-shore, herons, osprey and lots of blue jays, chick-a-dees and what we think may have been pine siskins in the forest along the shore. Our daughter and son-in-law were delighted to see a bear, foraging in the forest, one evening as they walked along the cottage roads after dinner. Next time, we will take bells to attach to our clothing for after-dinner walks! All in all, a wonderfully quiet, beautiful setting and a restful and relaxing holiday.

We are in the process of building another beautiful cottage which is in a quiet bay on our beautiful Skeleton Lake. Very similar in décor to the boathouse, this will be a quaint 2 bedroom cottage with a covered porch, on a sandy beach with a private dock and firepit. It is so wonderful to hear that you are nature lovers. At our new property we have had the experience of a lovely visit from a couple of moose! Muskoka Magic

My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The boathouse was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect with it being right on the water and near enough to a few towns to go sightseeing. The property manager was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We will absolutely be back next year for our one year anniversary.
