Nestled between the jungle and paddy fields, Mihira Home is a 3 bedroom villa (AC) with garden and pool created for sensory exploration. Just 4 minutes away from Kabalana Beach & Ahangama town, our space offers a thoughtfully designed sanctuary designed for a slower, more connected way of living.
At Mihira Home, natural materials, minimalist design, large open spaces, earthy colors, and a blend of indoor and outdoor living spaces were brought together to enjoy the natural elements of Sri Lanka.
Our three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is designed to help you feel connected to nature while enjoying the comforts of home in a luxurious setting.
Each bedroom includes a queen bed, private bathroom with all essentials and our blended soaps shampoo and conditioner, a private garden patio, super-soft bed linens, closets for storage, air conditioning, and a safety box.
We do daily cleaning of every room and of the shared spaces.
Our space offers everything you need for a comfortable stay:
- Rooftop terrace overlooking endless paddy fields
- Lush gardens full of fruit and palm trees
- Spacious indoor/outdoor living area with a fully equipped kitchen
- Large dining table (seats 8 people)
- Comfortable sunken couch area
- Private pool with sunbeds
- Hot showers powered by solar panels
- Air conditioning in all bedrooms
- High ceilings & open-air design to stay naturally cool

Over the past year and a half, soohie and I (Cecilia) have poured our hearts into building Mihira. What started as an old Sri Lankan home surrounded by fruit trees has transformed into a love project – a story of creativity, freedom, and deep commitment. It's also a story of perseverance through the many hiccups and surprises that come with building in a place like Sri Lanka.
Mihira was born at a moment of personal transformation – a moment of choosing intuition over expectation, and pursuing the life path that felt true, not the one we were taught to follow.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
Every detail of Mihira was consciously crafted. From the door handles to the vases, every choice was a joint decision. We were lucky to work with a talented local architect who embraced our (sometimes wild!) ideas and helped turn them into reality – using only local materials and repurposing as much as possible from the old house and other forgotten buildings.
Nestled between the jungle and the paddy fields, our 3 bedroom villa invites you into a thoughtfully designed sanctuary that celebrates slowness, simplicity, and connection.
