The place was clean and the host responded with our questions quickly and efficiently. We were in town for a two day conference and found that the apartment was very nice and a short distance to our destination.

The Pent House was nice and clean, beds very comfortable, and great balcony. Host was a great communicator and answered questions quickly. Being a pent house on the top floor, I thought there would be an elevator...not. I am 77 years old and had to due 8 flights of stairs every day. If you can not due that, this is not the rental for you. Otherwise great rental for the cost.

Description states penthouse but it does not specify say you have to walk up 4 flights of stairs with your luggage because there is no elevator. There was light blood smears on the walls and door handle in the penthouse. Walking through one of the rooms was the only way to access the out door patio. Washer smelled extremely funny. Definitely will not be returning. Only thing rated as a positive was host access and set up accommodations were prompt.

The only problem was the building does not have an elevator which was very difficult to carry luggage up and down the stairs. Overall the home was clean and we did enjoy the rooftop.

We spent 4 nights here. The apartment was clean and roomy, they had comfy beds, a fun loft balcony and Matthew was good with communication.

Parking was an issue. The garage space was a fenced parking lot that was not secured. Parked second vehicle on the street and got a broken window. The space was clean, beds were comfortable and having the deck was nice. Not enough storage.

Property is very nice inside, neighborhood is up and coming but not there yet. Listing should include the fact there is no elevator for the fourth floor penthouse. Secure parking in DC is a huge perk. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the rooftop balcony, our timeframe did not allow that but looked relaxing. Matt was great at messaging back until I let him know about a problem. It was nothing major but a response would have been appreciated.Overall a good stay again property was very nice inside and worth the price paid.I would rate 4.7 out of 5

This vrbo was immaculate. It was very modern and spacious. There was a parking space provided as well, which was great. The host was responsive to questions, and easy to communicate with. The only downside was that it wasn’t in the best area of town. I didn’t feel safe having my family walk around the neighborhood.

Nice place, very clean, off street parking in a secured parking lot. Prompt attention from property manager when needed. A few more towels would have been nice. Overall, an excellent value.

This penthouse was the perfect fit for our family of six. Since the temperatures were extremely high that weekend I give a “10” for the excellent A/C relief in the condo. The absolute highlight was the rooftop. Being able to watch the Fourth of July fireworks from there was an unforgettable experience. We had amazing views of the fireworks over the U.S. Capitol and Navy Yard, as well as displays from surrounding communities. The condo was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. If I could suggest a few things, it would be to provide extra bath towels and washcloths plus facial tissues (Kleenex) in the bathrooms.One note for future guests: because this is a penthouse, there is a flight of stairs to access it. Anyone with mobility concerns should keep that in mind, as the stairs could be challenging.Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Washington, D.C., especially if you’re visiting for the Fourth of July!

This clean modern updated unit is located in a building that has seven flights of stairs to penthouse one. We were four active, senior citizen ladies. The difficulty in carrying our luggage upstairs was only relieved by a good Samaritan temporarily staying in the building. We had a full week of activities planned, and going up and down the stairs was quite the challenge. The small green space could use some attention as it was quite trashy as we walked to the retail & restaurants. The owner was non-responsive to our request for top sheets and towels. One of the small bedrooms had a door leading to the rooftop patio. We were not able to enjoy that space as it had not been cleaned and was not inviting for use. Additionally, the exterior door that led to the outside patio did not have a lock on it. We used our luggage & the cable from my iPad to secure the doors, but we did not feel completely safe. We do believe that someone accessed our unit while we were away, but nothing was taken. The supposedly ‘fully stocked’ kitchen had very limited glassware or silverware, & what was available looked like it was purchased from a dollar store. Considering the cost, we certainly expected better accommodations, quality, use of the rooftop patio and a promise of security. It was disappointing to not receive a response to our request, but quite a surprise to have the cleaning lady waiting as we exited the unit. Surely she could have brought sheets and towels.Now I will be suspect of reviews

I enjoyed our stay. The teenagers really enjoyed the Penthouse with access to the rooftop. I think that was the highlight of the trip! While there are a lot of steps to take, the stay was comfortable. The temperature in the lower level bedroom was a little but not too unbearable.
