Due to severe allergies of our host’s family, we cannot accept pets, including service dogs. This listing has an VRBO exemption from all pets and bringing one will result in immediate termination/cancellation. We kindly appreciate your understanding.
Security Camera Disclosure
For the safety and security of our guests and property, we have exterior security cameras in the following locations:
• Upper driveway off Mariposa Road (monitors vehicle and foot traffic)
• Lower driveway off Siskiyou Road (monitors vehicle and foot traffic)
• Ring doorbell at the front door (monitors the main entrance)
All cameras are clearly visible, operate 24/7, and may record video and audio. These devices are used solely for security and safety purposes.
There are no cameras inside the home or in any private areas, such as bedrooms, bathrooms, or the backyard.
By booking, guests acknowledge and consent to the presence of these exterior security
We provide the following for our guests:
Bathroom toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and lotion.
Clean sheets, towels, pillows, and 2-3 days worth of toilet paper.
In the kitchen we have a few basic seasonings spices and cooking spray. Coffee, coffee filters, tea and a selection of cider or cocoa.
We also provide a starter pack of kitchen paper products for use during your stay.
We also provide a Brita water purifier in the refrigerator for your use.
We provide propane for the gas BBQ and firepit on the back deck, and we make great efforts to keep the tanks filled for each stay, though at times it is out of our control if the tanks run out. If they do, there is a convenient propane tank exchange at the Chevron station across from highway 108.
The washer and dryer are only available for guests staying 5 or more days. You will need to bring your own laundry detergent. Otherwise, it will be locked. If you have concerns, please feel free to discuss this with me prior to your arrival.
The wood burning Fire pit will be removed during summer months due to forest fire prevention and fire permit restrictions.
Firewood is not provided for the wood-burning stove or fire pit.
For your safety in the winter season, chains and 4 wheel Drive is strongly encouraged to get to the cabin. For easiest access, we also recommend parking your vehicle at the top driveway located off of Mariposa Drive. We also do provide snow shovels and salt located at that driveway for your use.
During certain months you may see wildlife roam the area, including bears and mountain lions. Proceed with caution if you do and do not confront them.
Also, though we spray the cabin monthly for spiders and insects, you may see the occasional spider, or ants/bugs. This is out of our control but we take every effort to keep it to a minimum.
As the cabin is located in the mountains there is ongoing pest control, including mice traps out of precaution.
- This area is subject to short, forced power outages as wildfire prevention in dry and windy conditions. While rare, they are unavoidable. The owners will always communicate as soon as they know if there is a risk for an outage. The home is equipped with extra flashlights just in case; however, there is no generator.
All extra guests after 6 must be pre-approved prior to your stay date. No exceptions. All guests staying MUST be listed at booking. If you list 5 guests, only 5 guests can stay. You must list or inform us of any extra guests up to 6 prior to your stay. All guests including infants and children beyond 6 guests need an exception to stsy prior to arrival. Each extra guests including infants or children must pay a $150 extra guest fee if approved. Failing to do so may result in termination of your stay and a forfeit of your entire stay fee.
Late Check-out up to 3:00 PM is an extra $80 charge if it is available.
