Cell reception in the area is spotty. Wifi at the cottage is great!

Children are to be monitored at all times - This house is on the water.

Indoor Guidelines: To ensure everyone stays is as good as the last 😊
• Remove shoes indoors to help keep the cottage clean.
• No pets unless pre-approved.
• No kids eating on the living room furniture.
• Do not rearrange furniture.
• Do not move indoor furniture outside.
• Report any damages or maintenance issues immediately.
• No use of glitter, confetti, or candles inside the house.
• Replace all board game pieces into their correct box.

🌲 Outdoor & Lake Use Guidelines
• Lake Access:
o Use the canoe and pedal boat at your own risk. Life jackets must be worn at all times (provided in shed).
o Children must be supervised near the water at all times.
o No diving or jumping from the shoreline.
o Blue green algae may be present — check local advisories.
o Do not use neighbors docks or lakeshore equipment.
o Make sure the boats are pulled out of the water at night and before departure

• Fire Pit:
o Fires permitted only in the designated fire pit.
o Do not leave fire unattended at any time.
o Fully extinguish the fire before going inside or to bed (buckets are located in the shed).
o Fire bans may be in effect during dry periods — check local advisories.
o Only burn dry firewood provided or purchased locally.
• Shed Use:
o Shed contains life jackets, paddles, outdoor games, beach toys, lawn chairs, fire wood, and basic tools.
o Please return all items to the shed neatly after use.
o Shed is not a play area — children must be supervised.
• Deck:
o Return cushions to the storage container every night and before departure).
• Bunkhouse and top garage:
o These are excluded from the cottage rental.
• Fireworks:
o Not permitted

♻️ Cleaning & Waste Disposal – Nova Scotia has a Robust Waste plan and it is strictly enforced
• Recyclable items –There are to be separated, paper in one, and all other stuff in another. Recyclables are to be placed in blue or clear garbage bags.
• Garbage goes in clear bags, SEPERATE from recyclables.
• Place garbage and recycling bags in the wooden bin located near the road.
• Place food compost in the green recycling bin.
• Do not leave food outside or in vehicles — this attracts wildlife.
• BBQ must be cleaned after use.


Laundry
• The laundry is in the basement bathroom. Detergent is located under the sink. ________________________________________
⚠️ Safety & Emergencies
• Heat pumps (A/C, fan, or heat) are available on each floor — do not cover them or manually try to change the direction.
• In case of a power outage, the generator will start automatically. Do not tamper with the generator system.
• There is a sub pump in the basement utility room. This comes on / off automatically. Do not adjust or unplug.
• The basement bathroom contains a pump built into the toilet. This comes on / off automatically. Do not adjust or unplug.
• The water shut off for the cottage is located in the utility room.
• Emergency contact info is posted near the front door.
• A first aid kit and fire extinguisher are in the kitchen.
