I live in the Bay Area, love to travel, usually training for some kind of run, on a dragonboating team, and prefer mellow and low-key weekends and vacations. With views of the Oakland Hills, frequent hummingbird visits, and access to local cycling routes in the hills, parks, running trails, archery ranges, and horseback riding trails, it truly feels like an urban oasis.
This area enjoys a sunny microclimate, making it ideal for enjoying the outdoors year-round, while still being close to great food, culture, and community spots.
Centrally located, the commute times by car are reasonable: San Francisco ~35-45 mins; Lake Merritt 8 min. Bay Area bus lines 5 min walk.

The custom-designed tiny home completed in December 2024 features a one-of-a-kind mosaic mural created by a local Oakland artist, a private patio, and a tranquil backyard — making it feel like a hidden escape in the heart of the East Bay.
We've always felt that there's a natural feeling of zen in this space. Being surrounded by nature, hummingbirds, bird sounds, the hills, cool breezes, and the signature redwoods soaring high above, there's a sense of something greater than ourselves out there.
