Humble Abode - Cottage con encanto cerca de Long Point Beach.

Casa familiar de 3 dormitorios y 2 baños completos en nuestro camino desde Long Point Beach y el estanque (excelente natación y remo, calma para niños pequeños) en una dirección y carril bici en la otra. Actualizada y cómoda, nuestra cabaña es la escapada perfecta. Ubicado en el centro, ideal para una experiencia en la isla alta y baja. La acogedora entrada lo invita a la sala de estar abierta, el comedor y la cocina. La cubierta envolvente está a la vista y se accede mediante controles deslizantes en la sala de estar. Las dos habitaciones en el primer piso incluyen 2 gemelos y 1 cama matrimonial. La suite principal grande y dramática ocupa el segundo piso junto con una terraza privada. Nuestra casa está alejada de la carretera y ofrece mucha privacidad rodeada de jardines y belleza natural. Acceso al paso de Lambert's Cove.

Charming Vineyard retreat!

Our family of 4 had an amazing stay. Robin, the owner, was very accommodating and responsive. Home is well appointed and had everything we needed. Loved the outside shower and wraparound deck!

Central Vineyard Island Retreat

We have rented on MV for 16 years and this was our most enjoyable stay. Everything was more than we expected: location, amenities, comfort, communication, quiet, cleanliness were all exceptional. Linens and towels provided makes a big difference. The upstairs master bedroom is a great escape from the first-floor activities. Typically, photos tend to make a home's interior appear better than it actually is. In this case, however, the opposite is true—the home is even more impressive in person than the photos suggest. Robin was always available to answer questions and provide advice. We are already looking forward to staying again next year!

Lovely Stay

Stayed here with four adults and one toddler. Easy communication with the host (no issues), good mid-island location so everything is basically 20m away at most, house is in very good condition and well-appointed, nice deck and outdoor area (a fire feature would make it perfect!). Minor note: the upstairs master bedroom and main floor living/dining areas have A/C but the main floor bedrooms do not (they do have fans). Might not be an issue for you but FYI. Thanks Robin!

Content in the Humble Abode

Our stay at the Humble Abode last week was quite lovely. The house is very nice: clean, well equipped, well decorated, nice linens, and the owners are even nicer. Robin was right there if we ever had any questions. You can feel that the home is very loved by the owners. We would come back here in a minute. The location and access to other beaches was great due to the Plover babies on Norton Point. We had many options to choose from. Thank you for sharing your home with my family!

Wonderful home in great location.

We stayed for Labor Day week in 2021. We loved everything about this home. Master suite was very private and large. We were four ladies and the home was large enough to give all of us some privacy. Location is mid island so convenient to everything. Clean, well outfitted. All the furniture looked new and was very comfortable. Nice outside decks. Surrounded by woods so very private. Owners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would definitely rent again. Thanks Robin.

The Humble Abode

We had a wonderful week at the Humble Abode! The location of the house is perfect for exploring the entire island. Our family loved the beach at Lambert’s Cove, a great beach for young kids and it’s also an amazing place to catch the sunset! The host is great at communication, and will happily answer any questions you may have. We hope to return again!

Great house and good location

Our family enjoyed staying at this property and have not one complaint. The house and property are very comfortable, well maintained and private. We enjoyed the quiet location and retreat from the crowds. We relaxed in the very comfortable deck furniture. The property is well located for easy travel to various locations on island. We were very comfortable in the house on rainy days. We easily purchased a beach pass for lambert’s cove (a 15 minute drive) for the calm water and lifeguard.

Relaxing week in West Tisbury

Our family had a wonderful week at Robin’s house! Everything was as described; we wanted for nothing during our stay. The owner was very communicative and easy to reach when we had questions. The house was clean, comfortable, and decorated in a classic beachy style. It was just perfect!

Great Home Base

Had a delightful 2-week stay at this cozy and centrally-located house, practically next to Long Point Reserve. The house is welcoming and had everything I needed, and nice decks off the living area and upstairs bedroom let me enjoy the outdoors, while shielded by the surrounding trees. The owners were friendly and helpful, and very responsive throughout my stay.

Brilliant week at the Humble Abode

Quiet comfy cottage

Lovely cottage with amenities nestled in a woodsy setting. Located near beaches with easy access to island services. Owner is very helpful, kept in easy contact by phone/email & provided useful information. Our family of 6 adults had an enjoyable, relaxing experience.

Close to everything but very private

I was hesitant to write this review because I'm kind of feeling like I don't want to give up the location of a hidden gem. This is an awesome property. It's centrally located so any place on the island is easily accessible but, it's off the beaten path enough to provide a lot of privacy. The house is actually nicer than the pictures indicate. Everything that you would need is provided for, and then some. Also, the property owners, Robin and Larry, could not have been more accommodating. They made us feel more like family than renters. We are hoping to rent it again next year.

Awesome, comfortable house with everything you need!

The house was great - close to everything (especially Long Point) - we had a few cloudy/rainy days but the living area was comfortable and cozy and there was a whole closet of games to fill the time - the deck with the table and chairs, and the loveseat/chair set were perfect for breakfast and coffee - the kitchen had everything you could possibly need, all of those little extras - the master bedroom is somewhat of a loft area however, so just be aware of that - otherwise, it's perfect!

Great house, great location!

We had a great week in Martha's Vineyard. We have rented many homes on the Vineyard and found that Robin's Cottage was all we hoped for. It was comfortable and well equipped. The location was excellent! Close to everything including bike path, downtown Edgartown, Featherstone, Alley's General Store and beautiful beaches. Will definitely come back!!

Martha's Vineyard has always been our favorite place to vacation with our family. After looking for several years, It only took minutes of walking into this property that we knew this had to be our home - it had all the charm of a quintessential Martha's Vineyard beach house and all the updates of casual modern living with an open floor plan. The circular pebble driveway set off the road is as inviting outside as it is inside. We hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do!

Our house is located in the ideal location, minutes to the beach - literally down a tree lined and beautiful road where you can bike to the beach without entering the main road. It also has access to nearby bike paths that in one direction leads to Edgartown and in the other direction to Grange Hall, where there are weekly summer farmer's markets and art festivals.
