Sebastian was very professional and flexible in allowing a two month delay, due to back surgery on my part. The property far. exceeded our expectations given the tastefulness of its interior. The only downside were the VRBO taxes and fees which seemed excessive.

An unreal place - highly recommend staying here

We visited Careyes 15 years ago. This was our first time back. Let me just say that you will love this place. Great views. Privacy is excellent. Easy to get to the restaurants etc. Honestly nothing I would want differently.

We had the most magical stay at Casita Jasmin! Stunning views and the absolute perfect setting for a get away. We fell in love with Careyes & our casita and will definitely be back! Sebastian, Viviana, Sandra, the concierge and Juan at Playa Rosa were beyond helpful and friendly. We arranged for a delightful woman named Raphael to cook for a dinner party at our casita one night and it was wonderful. Careyes is so inspiring. Thank you so much for allowing us to partake in this slice of heaven on earth!

FABULOUS!!!!!

We stayed at Casita Jazmin for a week in March with our two children, ages 6 and 8. It is beautifully decorated and very functional. You are staying in someone's home not a rental unit. Daily housekeeping is a real luxury. A short beautiful walk through all of the multi colored villas surrounding Jazmin and you are down on Playa Rosa, with a perfect little restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner. There are very few places in the world that are as unspoiled. You can rent paddle boards and kayaks or charter a boat to take you along the coast to visit small beaches, snorkel, and find whales and dolphins. Costa Careyes is a quiet community and you will soon make new friends. After a few hours on the beach head back up to take a nice swim in your own pool, one of the very few Casitas that has one. Highlights of our trip were sitting below the pool on the lounge at sunset playing Uno with the kids, reading books together (we are a technology free family), releasing newborn leatherback turtles, and wonderful horseback rides along the beach. If you are looking for a true memory, a real vacation in a quiet off the beaten path place without hordes of fannypack wearing tourists, look no further, and you will forget you ever saw Puerto Vallarta (Mexico's Miami). Private, beautiful. Bliss.

Everything about this casita is so well thought out; it's as functional as it is gorgeous. There are so many thoughtful design elements, e.g. the lighting is amazing. The pool, Sonos, bedroom, artwork, etc. it's all just perfect. Nothing is tacky or cheap, everything is solid and beautiful. The overall flow and aesthetic show much care. Oh, and the views are unbelievable. I've owned vacation homes and traveled to many places around the world. As a total package, this is as blown away as I've ever been. Perfect for a couple's retreat. Careyes itself is a truly special place, very unique. It's so beautiful, private, and tasteful yet with a welcome quirkiness. Very unlike a typical "resort". Service, food, etc. are all top notch. We really enjoyed exploring, meeting people, etc. One highlight was a 2 hour boat ride where we saw a Humpback Whale. Another was visiting the Copa del Sol. We felt lucky to have stayed here and would very much like to go back.

delivering on a private escape

Casita Jasmin was exactly what we were looking for - a private escape we didn't have a reason to leave. Quality amenities, comfortable and well laid out - I don't believe there's a better 2 bedroom casita in the collection.

Wonderful Unspoilt Location

We rented Jazmin for a week and boy, we didn't regret this! The location and casita are truly stunning! I'm not often left speechless, but upon opening the front door and turning to the sounds of the waves, my draw dropped. The photos of the listing were accurate but on seeing it in person, I was one happy camper. We spent many a day just reading by the pool area and watching the boats come and go. We wanted a place to relax, and relax we did. Our children, aged 10 and 12 years, met some of the local children and played soccer on the beach. The restaurant on the beach was wonderful and the staff were very helpful. The quality of the food far exceeded our expectations. We ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner during our stay - not every day but almost! It really was a dream vacation, a hidden gem in this crazy old world, and we are hoping to return in 2015!

Epic!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary, and it was just perfect! We had heard about Costa Careyes through friends and one of them mentioned that we absolutely must stay at this casita called Casita Jazmin, and we are so glad we did! Apparently It was built as the "Honeymoon Casita" as it's very private and literally feels like you are floating over the ocean. The view was breathtaking; there were days when we barely left the house and just sat in the sun taking in the view, reading, cooking, listening to music, and dipping in the pool, SO RELAXING! The master bedroom has large doors that open entirely to the view of the ocean and beautiful rock islands. To wake up to that in the morning was worth every penny. I think the owners recently remodeled it, as everything in there is new and beautifully managed. They did a lovely job at decorating, cozy, modern and elegant. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach, which has a nice restaurant called Playa Rosa. Unfortunately they were not open for breakfast during our stay because it was not high season but they had great lunch and dinner. That said, the casita had a large open kitchen with more than enough supplies to cook.The concierge was very helpful, assisting us with directions, getting fresh caught fish, providing boat rental info etc... really just anything we needed. Would highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway or even a great family vacation!

Crazy!

I want to start off saying that I had never heard of Careyes, and now since I have been, I can't stop talking about it! It is the most romantic place I have ever been. It truly is paradise and will forever cherish my time there. The 'Casita' is in a perfect location. I actually think it might have the best view in all of Careyes. Some of the huge villas around look pretty cool but I wouldn't trade it for this one. Careyes is pretty magical and I understand why its a best kept secret. No tourists, safe, and creative. I hope to come back soon.

We had been considering to buy there for about 30 years until this casita - many call it the jewel of Playa Rosa - became available. The house was completely remodeled in 2011 and is now state-of-the-art.
