Como su nombre lo indica, Sunnyside Cottage es una casa de campo brillante y alegre en el corazón de Lakeside. La casa recientemente renovada ha sido completamente renovada, para incluir un concepto muy abierto, que consta de la sala de estar, comedor y cocina. La decoración ha sido actualizada en todo momento. La casa cuenta con 3 baños y 4+ habitaciones, todas en una sola planta. El dormitorio uno cuenta con una cama queen y baño privado, el segundo dormitorio es una reina, el dormitorio 3 tiene dos literas, el cuarto tiene un doble y un completo, además hay un pequeño estudio / dormitorio con sofá cama doble. Hermosa cocina con encimeras de cuarzo, sala de estar con chimenea de leña. Además, hay un encantador porche delantero, ducha al aire libre y un jacuzzi privado para 5 personas (¡abierto todo el año!). Ubicado en Lakeside, a 2 cuadras del acceso privado a Orchard Beach.

Great family spot

It was the perfect midwinter getaway house for our family trip. Space to spread out, lots for the kids to do, wonderful kitchen, close to the dunes for sledding, and the hot tub was perfect.

We had a great time. House is perfect. Close walk to the beach. Neighborhood quaint and quiet. Wish check-in time was a bit earlier than 5.

Family getaway

Overall the house was nice & spacious however we couldn't use the fireplace because it was in- operable - it got chilly at night so it would have been nice to make a fire !!

Wonderful getaway

This property is very well kept. They have thought about everything you may need for your stay. Beach is a bit of a walk but absolutely a beautiful beach. We had 9 people staying and we all had plenty of room. Kitchen was stocked well. They had a wagon and chairs to use at the beach. We had a wonderful stay!

A great weekend

Clean and beautiful home. Very practical for a full sized family. I took my grandparents, my parents, my wife and 2 children (under 2)… definitely would stay here again if we came back to the area.

Beautiful and clean vacation cottage!

We loved our trip to Lakeside and Sunnyside Cottage! The cottage was airy and spacious, clean, updated and had everything we needed for a wonderful week! The walk to the beach was three short blocks, a little far for toddler legs... but the wagon provided in the playhouse was a great way to haul everyone back after a long day of swimming and sand castle building! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Perfect weekend

My sister and our friends have been planning a little girls’ weekend away for months now. Lakeside was exactly what we were hoping for. Plenty of space in the house (loved that there were 3 bathrooms), absolutely spotless and a great location for anywhere you want to go. We loved enjoying our coffee on the large porch and chatting in the beautiful weather we had. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Perfect summer vacation

Highly recommend this beautiful, spacious, immaculate home! Plenty of room for our family. Loved the open living room/kitchen area and 2 bedrooms and bathrooms on each side of home. Short walk to very nice beach. Easy drive to many area restaurants. House had everything you could possibly need for the week. Beach towels, wagon and plenty of beach chairs was a great bonus. Management was so easy to work with—thank you for a perfect summer vacation.

Beach vaca

We vacation in this area almost every summer. Love the beaches and the relaxed vibe of SW Michigan. This is one of the best rentals we have booked: super clean, well supplied kitchen, great back yard, good floor plan, and great location. There are beach towels, chairs, wagon and toys! You really don’t need to pack many extras. Management company was great, too. Five stars!

Wonderful

There’s clean, and there’s REALLY clean. This place was really clean!! I’ve stayed in this area 10 or more times and this maybe the best so far. Very short walk to beach, board games, beach toys, hot tub, fireplace! Perfect for my wife, our 3 kids and myself! They even provided firewood!! Will definitely go back! Thanks for the memories!!!

Michigan Memories

Sunnyside Cottage was the perfect place for our family to spend Thanksgiving. From the well-appointed kitchen to the cozy fireplace, our family was able to spend time together playing games, watching movies, and walking the beach for amazing sunsets. Everything about Sunnyside made the long weekend fun for everyone, whether it was time spent in the hot tub, reading a book by the fire, or playing cards at the large dining table. And at the end of the day, we were able to retreat to our rooms and get a great night's sleep. Thank you for helping us make great memories!

Everything we needed for a fun girls' weekend

This property was perfect for our annual girls' weekend get-away. This was the first time for this group to stay in MI but it did not disappoint. The location of this house was close to MI City outlet mall shopping and great wineries, distilleries, restaurants and tap rooms. The house was clean upon arrival and stocked with all the amenities we needed for the weekend. Despite the weather, we walked to the beach which was close by. The hot tub was perfect for a chilly evening, with the wood burning fireplace another cozy spot to hang out and catch up. We would definitely recommend this property.

Can’t wait to go back!!

Omg you guys. This place was amazing. The kids toys and games that were provided, towels for bath and beach, wagon for beach stuff, beach toys, chairs (that you can just strap to your back for the walk to the beach), EVERYTHING you could possibly need. And it was IMMACULATE. Plenty of room for the 5 of us, and could’ve easily added another 4 with plenty of space. Couldn’t recommend this enough! There is a place close by where you can rent umbrellas, etc for the beach and the pick up is literally a mile from the house and everyone there was wonderful, too! (Sobbing joyfully)

Beautiful home with gorgeous front porch steps from private beach

My family (my parents, myself, sister and my 9 year old) spent a week at Sunnyside Cottage in Lakeside. We absolutely loved the home. It was in spotless condition when we arrived. The cottage decor is gorgeous and fits in well with the beach theme. With 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, we all had our private space when needed, but the kitchen with the to-die-for island and the cozy livingroom offered us great places to gather. We spent most of our time at the private beach (small, but beautiful and never crowded and a very easy walk, about 5 minutes). We also rented bikes and enjoyed some beautiful bike rides along Lakeshore Road. We also loved the front porch, very spacious with a great porch swing. The location is perfect, so close to the beach but a very short drive away to coffeeshops, bakeries and New Buffalo restaurants. Jason and staff were also very responsive and easy to work with. We would highly recommend this cottage if you plan to vacation in Harbor Country!

Michigan Summer Vacation

The house was nicely updated and had everything we needed. There are lots of beach toys and necessities which is nice so you don't have to bring your own. It was a quick walk to a private beach where we enjoyed watching the sunset many nights. It was also a short drive to Warren Dunes State Park where we could rent paddle boards and kayaks or hike the dunes. That was fun for a full beach day. The management company was great; very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Overall it was a good property. The only reason for the four star rating instead of a five is the road to the house is a poorly maintained gravel road that is so full of potholes. You also walk along this on your way to the beach. Things are overgrown and it makes the area seem unkept. I don't believe this has anything to do with the management company of course. I'm sure the city of Lakeside is responsible for that. It would be nice if they could fix it, since that's your first impression as you arrive at the house. This was our first visit to Michigan and we look forward to exploring even more of this beautiful state!

A Thankgiving Treat

Everything worked! Excellent location between Red Arrow Highway and the beach, minutes to shopping, relaxing hot tub, warming wood burning fireplace, complete cooking utensils to prepare 15 Thanksgiving dinners in modern 5 star home.

Spacious place and nice value for larger family

Updated interior with nice porch and large eat in dining area. Also had updated bathrooms and several queen beds. very comfy!

Great place for families

The place is fully stocked with beach chairs, towels and toys. All you need to do is bring yourself. Management is very responsive.
