¡En el centro del pueblo fantasma de Thompson Springs! Callado y pacífico. ¡Esto no es para la persona que ama las horas pico en la gran ciudad! Hay una estación de Shell en la ciudad y eso es todo. Trae comida cuando vengas. El parque nacional Moab y Arches está a media hora en coche hacia el sur. Este lugar es realmente todo acerca de la libertad. Si decides conducir un ATV por Town, nadie te molestará. Si decide andar en bicicleta por la antigua carretera 6, puede pasar un automóvil, pero es probable que no lo haga.

Forgotten loyal 10 yrs guest almost stranded paid for year ago

We have been coming to Ballard RV Park 10 yrs. Never thought they totally overlooked our reservation we made a year ago and paid in full 1 yr ago also. Vrbo was never contacted because we got an email showing everything was OK with the Gecko House and we were looking forward in staying there, our favorite house. When we got there Monday night because we were driving from NC across country, exhausted, to find someone else in our house , we freaked out. I went to the office and it was closed but had a # to call. Called the # and told the lady that someone was in our house . She came early didn't know what was happening. I was furious that this is happening to us which we never had a problem before. Found out someone rented the house after we made the reservation and paid in full and they were permanent resident In February the next year Never mind that it was reserved by us late June. Then didn't contact us to put us in another property to cover our reservation. Totally left us stranded after traveling so far. The manager was out of town and the lady I was dealing with was the cleaning staff. She told us they were all booked which was an awful feeling that we had nowhere to go. She only had a camper which I wasn't going to go for because I rented a house. She was the only one that took responsibility and felt awful. Belinda saved our vacation She moved things around and got us in a nice house somehow. She alone was a god sent! Very sad that the owner and manager didn't care

Moab offroad trip.

We originally reserved the Gecko house, but were upgraded to a 5th wheel. We had no problems with it at all, actually it was quite nice to be upgraded to two bathrooms! It was clean, no issue with water pressure, and the scenery was quite nice. I also enjoyed the peace and quiet. I’d definitely stay again! Only Quam was the distance to Moab, but I knew it was a ways, plus I don’t like crowds, so it really was perfect! The sights that we could go see right down the road was awesome too!

The Towels!

It was perfect! Clean, easy to find! Fabulous Turkish bath towels were very soft and plush! Would stay here again.

Great central location to stay

We had a great stay at Gecko House! So cute and the perfect size for me and my daughter for our first trip to Utah. Well supplied, laundry on site. Host VERY responsive. Would highly recommend.

Awesome little place

Had a great time at the gecko house. It’s perfect to have a nice place to come back to within an hour of canyonlands and arches. Will definitely be back at some point.

Quick stop on our travels

My SIL and I just stayed overnight. Place was clean and bed comfortable for our needs (Did open up the hide-a-bed and I would suggest a new mattress. We decided we could share a bed for the night instead.)

A home away from home

We can here specially to wander around the Sego Canyon Petroglyphs area, which we did. But we were charmed by the Gecko Cabin, which fit our needs perfectly. We cooked supper and breakfast both, spread out and took several walks. The check-in process went smoothly, as well as check-out. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Right off the highway

We were looking for an affordable place to stay to access Arches National Park and we found this place to be acceptable. There were issues with the hot water shower but the host offered a partial refund which I thought was fair. It’s small but worked for our family of four.

We got in late and only stayed the one night but everything was as advertised and very clean. We slept well and went on our way the next morning. The location was very easy to find

Is a peaceful place ! The cabin was good , clean enough supplies and very comfortable. The Town has no access to restaurants near by is good considering to bring your own food ! But is a good alternative to stay outside Moab

Fleas or bed bugs - choose cautiously

There was absolutely no personal communications or feeling that a humans were even involved with this process for the reservation. I arrive late and fumbled my way around the darkness of the neighborhood until I figured out which unit was mine. And that was strictly by the photograph. When I got inside the unit, the floors were greasy, and the shower did not work well. Even if you set a moderate temperature, it would oscillate between scolding, hot and freezing cold. Exhausted slept on top of the covers because it was hot in the room. The next morning I woke up , with bite marks all over my legs from what were mites, fleas, or bedbugs, I don’t know which, but there was a lot of them, and I was glad I was only there five short hours before I had to hit the road again. The only evidence that a human being was involved in the process was a form that was left on the kitchen table for me along with a pen, asking me to fill out some questions , I do not recommend staying here

Quiet and Comfortable

Quiet campground area even though it was full, did hear the train whistle nearby in the night but didn't bother us and was disclosed by owner. Cabin was clean and comfortable for 4 adults, had all the needed dishes, towels, sheets, pillows and blankets. Staff was friendly. Will recommend to others.

Thompson Springs Paradise

This place was clean, amazingly peaceful, and so much healer than staying in Moab. The communication was great with the owner and check in was extremely simple. I highly recommend this gem in the middle of a peaceful high desert.

Great place to stay

Was very clean and enjoyable stay. Easy to check in had everything we needed for the night. Easy check out process. Would happily stay again. The view was beautiful as well. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and just looking out into the desert and the night sky.
