Esta casa de estudio junto al lago pintoresco es un oasis de tranquilidad en el ruido, el ajetreo y el estrés de la vida urbana. Relajarse en medio de los sonidos de la naturaleza, brisas tranquilas y la llamada de los somormujos.
El Lakeside Cottage tiene todo lo que necesita para escapar de sus problemas y tener tiempo para usted. Situado en el norte de Lake pocos minutos de las famosas Rapids Skookumchuck, esta acogedora casa de estudio es ideal o dos personas. El área de planta abierta, comedor, sala de estar, y la reina cama Murphy tienen una vista espectacular del lago y para hacer una excelente ubicación para disfrutar de una comida, leer un libro, o dormir con comodidad. Pictures don't do the place justice! The care taker lady is amazing, the place is clean.The lake is stunning and the quiet atmosphere is second to none.Bring a sharp knife and foil, otherwise the kitchen is well stocked. Outstanding!!!!!

Cute spot great dock

It’s a simple shack cabin, but it’s cute and has everything you need for two adults. If you are very particular or you aren’t used to actual cabins (not perfect brand new immaculate places) this may not be your spot. If you love a little cabin with character and privacy at a good price, you’ll like this. The private dock on a lake is wonderful. The little boats were fun. Overall for the price great value in this area of BC.

Combine that with the cozy cabin, sundeck, dock, paddle boat and the fact you can bring your dog and you have the makings of a perfectly relaxing vacation. We will be back for sure.

Reviewer Comments: The Lakeside Cottage was everything we could have wished for - quiet, private location, beautiful lake views, two decks and a dock to relax on and everything we needed for easy self catering - a well stocked kitchen and BBQ on the deck. The lake was clear and warm and we took full advantage of the paddle boat and row boat and our dog (who loves to swim) could not have been happier. We will be back for sure!

Close to lovely swimming and paddling lakes.

It is more old than rustic as the appliances etc are modern. Somewhat settled hence slightly wonky floors, not a problem though. Great wifi. Lots of tv channels. Needs a new screen door that actually works. Old bagged out loveseat should be replaced with a newer couch. A drying rack on the porch for wet swimsuits and towels would be nice. These are not expensive things but in my opinion would greatly enhance this cabin. It’s not cheap but I think we are paying more for the location. I spent my days paddling on Waugh and Ruby lakes. Also hiked to Skookumchuck narrows. Spent 6 nights here. It was great!

Reviewer Comments: North Lake met our expectations of a lovely small lake close to Vancouver free of the noise of motor boats with silky clear water suitable for swimming. Lydia made sure the cottage was clean. She was reliable and helpful.The cottage is a modest one room cabin with bathroom, kitchen, covered porch and views of the lake through a grove of trees and rhododendrons. We needed to spend a couple of hours cutting back overgrown plants to make the short poorly maintained trail passable. This leads to a wooden deck with more open views of the water, which also required the removal of plants coming up through the cracks. This is the best place to eat and pass the time when the weather permits. Steep slippery steps lead to an equally slippery floating dock which is in need of a complete rebuild to avoid serious injury. This in turn leads to a tilting raft mostly covered by an ancient fibreglass paddle boat and an equally ancient fibreglass rowboat both of which are overturned and difficult to upright.The scale and siting of the cottage built by unskilled design and labour is not without charm, though settling over the years makes it impossible to fully close any doors. It appears to be well insulated and easy to heat, though the lighting is clumsy. The furniture is modest but reasonably comfortable. It is the cheapness of such elements as old cast off DVDs, out of date tourism information, dry cleaner hangers, curtains that don’t fully cover the closet, the mish mash of dishes and cooking utensils, along with the 25 year old spices from Woodwards that makes guests feel the “host” is not interested in welcoming them but rather in the exorbitant $400 plus per night that is being charged.

We had such a lovely stay at The Lakeside Cottage. The property manager was absolutely amazing! When the power went out one evening, she called us right away to check in and make sure we had enough water and supplies. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and we really appreciated the care and attention.The cottage itself was very cute, clean, and cozy, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. While the dock and paddleboats could use a little TLC, we completely understand that with winter approaching, those won’t see much use. The lake was incredibly peaceful, with hardly anyone else around, which made for a truly quiet and restful experience.We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil lakeside escape!

The view from the dock is beautiful... loved seeing turtles 🐢 hanging out in a logs.. we would definitely stay hete again.

Quiet lakefront hideaway

This small but cozy property has a wonderful lakefront location with a swimming dock and row boat for getting out on North Lake. The covered porch was a plus as it rained quite a bit while we were there, but the lake was still warm enough for swimming.

Little piece of heaven.

The cabin itself is a little rustic and dated, but it's clean and comfortable. The location is stellar. Great access to the lake at your doorstep, easy to access the warm waters of the lake, and it's really quiet and secluded. Has the added benefit of having no cellular coverage or wifi, so you just drop off the edge of the world here... Just a beautiful, quiet location.

August 2019 Stay

Slight delay on the check in, and a plumbing issue that was fixed quickly and on time, and the BBQ was missing propane (had to borrow some from the guests at the main house), but overall we had a fantastic stay. It's a great location for a super, quiet getaway on the lake. Great access to the water, great decks to sit and watch the wildlife (rabbits, bats, snakes, turtles, ospreys etc. etc.). And a nice secluded bay of the lake too. I'm so glad there's no cell coverage either....

had such a wonderful time! the lake is absolutely magical and awesome for swimming. we brought our kyacks and went around the lake everyday. lots of wildlife around. perfect little cabin for two people. I cannot wait to come back here!

July 2018 Stay

What a gem. Was not expecting such a peaceful, pristine place. Had all the comforts of home, the best swimming one could ask for and nature all around. Saw turtles sunning themselves on logs near the cottage, a mama loon feeding her babe, kingfisher bird, bats, and more. Would come back in a heartbeat and hope to next summer!
