The neighborhood overall is older with some older houses. There are restaurants at one ebs if the street and a bar at the other. However, there didn't seem to excesses traffic. Late at night there was a little noise from the bar, but not bad. The house was nice and clean and overall in preety good condition. We are planning to stay again.

Very poor amenities. Old and drafty. Walls fixed with duct tape and painted over. Blinds are in I’ll repair. Oven dirty. Cobwebs and thick dust on ceiling fans. Extremely thin linens wash clothes and towels. No ironing board. Paint falling off and peeling in the upstairs closet. Dirty sponges from prior cleaning lying around. Upstairs window doesn’t lock. Sketchy part of town (I knew this) but the locked basement and back door was a little concerning, being it is a sketchy area. I’m very surprised the host was allowed to list this property. All in all this home served its purpose to host Thanksgiving in an area close to my family as they are not in position to travel out to much nicer properties on the outskirts of inner city Akron. The host did respond when I notified her of the stove and blinds. Please either remove this property, inspect it, and make some serious home improvements.

Thank you for your feedback. We take all guest concerns seriously, but several points do not reflect the actual condition of the home. The property is regularly cleaned and inspected before each stay, and we have not had similar concerns from previous guests. You mentioned the blinds but shared photos only on the morning of checkout. After inspection, the blinds were intact and simply needed to be pulled down; the washcloth placed on them appeared to be from your use. And the blinds that were intact damaged were replaced. Regarding the doors, the only locked door is the basement, which is clearly stated as owner access only. The back door was fully accessible with the same code provided at check-in. The home remains exactly as shown in the listing, and upon your departure, no taped walls, peeling paint, unsecured windows, or cleanliness issues were found. All linens, cleaning supplies, and safety features were in standard condition. We appreciate constructive feedback, and we want to assure future guests that the property is accurately represented, well-maintained, and safe as stated in previous reviews.

This was our second weekend stay here.  The house was very clean and in good condition.  While it is in the city and near a couple of small restaurants and a bar, the street is relatively quiet.  This is a fairly new listing, and there are a few things that still need to be completed like hanging the rods in the bedroom closets that might come into play for longer stays.
