We Like It Here!

This is our second stay here. We were here a year ago with our dog as this place is dig friendly. This year, we have no dog. The location is so convenient. We can walk to the Museum, to fishing in the Rangeley River, the fly shop and good food at the Oquassoc Grocery Store. Clean, modern and quiet.

Very Convenient Location

Very convenient to hiking and walking trails, some can be reached without driving. Suite is spacious, the high ceilings are a plus. Kitchen is a bit limited but fine for reheating leftovers. The suite is absolutely immaculate. The expansive porch is great. The only drawback is the truck traffic. Owners should consider adding an electric tea kettle.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at the Oquossoc Motel Country Suites. The Suite had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated and well maintained. Rangeley and Oquossoc are idillic places to spend time in the summer.

Check in was easy. I had a question on arrival and texted the person sending me notices. I received a prompt response. The property was extremely clean. I would have preferred a small stove over the hot-plate and griddle.

Nice spot!

We had a great time in Maine. We left a note with improvements that could be made. The biggest downside was the light coming into the unit at dawn through a very high window that needs to be covered, and the roadside noise can be a problem in the morning. A few ice cube trays would be good too. The customer service was very good and responsive.

Fantastic rental!

What a beautiful suite! Appointed with rustic yet modern finishes, it had all the amenities we needed for a great extended stay. The info guide is incredibly helpful with lots of suggestions for activities, restaurants, and local services. We would (and will!) stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great stay

Room #1 was the perfect size. The units are very clean & come with all the amenities needed for a few days in the Rangely area snowmobiling. The room looks like a mountain lodge, decorated very tastefully with comfortable beds & a sitting area in front of a fireplace. The area is quiet with restaurant's nearby and a small grocery with deli across the street. We highly recommend the Country suits & surrounding area for a year round getaway.

Quiet, Cozy, Rangeley Retreat

While the property was exactly what we were looking for, the staff made our stay more than we expected. We loved the corner unit with the big windows, the private bedroom, and the large shower. The door to the back was great for access to a back "yard" area for our dog. While this is a motel-style property, it was not noisy at all. We enjoyed a very quiet weekend getaway and will most certainly book another property with Morton and Furbish.

Lovely rooms, freshly renovated

Very nice for a two night stay during a quiet time of year. The room was spacious and comfortable. The basic kitchen was fine for breakfast and lunch. The open fire was cosy. The beds were comfortable. Everything very clean. Be prepared though: it is a little bright in the mornings due to large, high, uncovered windows, and you cannot darken the bedroom for sleep.

Lovely and quiet setting. Convenient to local attractions and facilities. Regarding the specific unit: clean as a pin!! Comfortable beds! Generous with the towels! Thank you for the attention to these. Have a look at the bathroom in 2 areas...shower, leaks at the glass gap and becomes a mess all over the floor. The sink faucet: should it ever need replaced please place it closer to the edge of the sink or have a longer reaching/taller faucet as washing hands is difficult because hands cannot fully get under flowing water.

Very clean and comfortable, handy to everything in Oquossoc, which was key for us staying to visit with family nearby. A few minor things: tv was not intuitive so might want a small cheat sheet for that. Placement over the fireplace was difficult to view except from the couch but not sure you have many other options in that layout. Lastly, the big window on one wall sheds a lot of powerful bright light early in the am but has no shutters on the upper half so I would let renters know that in case they would prefer to sleep in a bit. This was nice but we will ask for a different unit next time if we're staying more than one night.

Basically OK

Nice high ceiling. Good modern shower and comfy bed. Room mostly OK. A patch of wallpaper was peeled off. There was no way to block the morning sun from disturbing sleeping. Later, there was no way to raise the large blind near the kitchen for more light. The TV was not working upon arrival. The bed kept the door to the sleeping area from closing; we had to move the heavy bed. There were too-high chairs and eating table. We tried to use the Trash bin at the end of our stay, but it was full. Big trucks going right by were noisy.

Thankgiving 2020

We had a nice stay. The accomidations were great. Beds were comfortable and the space worked really well for my wife and two daughters. The bathroom was great, the shower was great and the kitchenette worked really well for our needs. Unfortunately, because our stay happened during the pandemic, we asked that there was no interactions with the staff, which was a bit of a bummer as we would have liked to say hello, but everything was wonderful and we had a nice quite stay up in Oquossoc. All our best.

Amazing “motel”

To call this place a motel redefines the word. It was beautiful. Super clean and modern. Front porch with chairs and also a back door that made for easy loading of the car. We are a family of 5 and often it is difficult to find accommodations that have an extra bed. This suite had a pull out couch, two twin beds, and a separate bedroom also, Plenty of room. We would gladly stay here again. Thanks so much My only suggestions would be to replace the high table that had three chairs to a rectangular table that could double as counter space while cooking and would seat more people allowing us to eat together. A can opener, hot pads, and a pitcher would be good additions to the already well stocked kitchen. Seriously. That's all I can think of to add. It was a great place!
