Actualización de 2019: durante el invierno, el trabajo se realizó en el espacio de rastreo para abordar el olor a humedad. También proporcionamos un deshumidificador para esos días húmedos y fríos. El dormitorio principal ha sido completamente renovado.

Appleport Sunrise es una cabaña de temporada encantadora, acogedora y confortable de dos dormitorios y un baño en la costa rocosa (traiga sus zapatos de playa) del lago Michigan que ofrece vistas espectaculares y un retiro tranquilo. Ubicada en 10372 South Appleport Lane, a solo unos minutos al este de Sister Bay, y en Rowley's Bay, el plano de planta abierto de la cabina (cocina, comedor, sala grande) también cuenta con una terraza con vista al lago, una chimenea a gas con chimenea de piedra y techo ventilador. La cocina está totalmente equipada con estufa eléctrica, refrigerador y microondas. La gran sala ofrece internet, reproductor de DVD, juegos y rompecabezas.
El dormitorio principal tiene una cama king. El dormitorio de invitados tiene una litera con una cama de tamaño completo en la parte inferior, una cama doble en la parte superior y una cama doble. El baño tiene una ducha de pie.
Una parrilla de carbón se puede encontrar en el patio de concreto fuera de la cocina. El pozo de fuego con vista al lago es el lugar perfecto para asar perritos calientes y malvaviscos, o para calentarse en las noches frías.

Relaxing

Everything was great but am glad we brought our roku. We would not have been able to watch tv otherwise. The view was great. Very relaxing.

The property was as described - right ON the lake! Beautiful sunrises and impressive wave action. Cozy, quiet, convenient and well complimented with most things we needed.

Private, quiet, lovely rural location

If you want to hear the waves, experience nature with birds, deer, rabbits and one creatures in peace and privacy and don’t mind spotty or no cell phone or internet reception thus is your place. No swimming here, but clean Comfortable bed water

Appleport Sunrise - a lovely cottage by Lake Michigan

Even though the mildew smell is strong when you enter the cottage, the setting makes up for all of it. The view of the lake, the warmth and ambience of the fireplace, the brilliance of the stars on a cloudless night, the comfort of the furniture made it a very relaxing, calming visit and we'll be going back next year!

The view of Lake Michigan is truly spectacular — the highlight of this property. Unfortunately, several issues made our stay less enjoyable. The listing stated there was a dehumidifier, but none was provided, and there’s no air conditioning, which made the home very humid and uncomfortable in the summer. We contacted the host about this and were told the owners would be notified, but we never received a follow-up.The master bed was extremely firm, and we had to sleep in the kids’ room for comfort. The shower sprayed water out of the stall, and we noticed black mold and possible water damage in the bathroom. The DVD player didn’t work, and the blinds were taped on and fell off frequently.With more accurate listing info, basic maintenance, and better responsiveness, this could be a great rental. For now, the view is the star — but the stay was not.

This is an excellent property for a great getaway. Located right on the Lakeshore, offering a meditative listen to Lake Michigan waves licking the shore. It is very close to all the fun things door County has to offer.

Isolated and peaceful

We truly enjoyed our stay! We were looking for an isolated place with great views and the sound of waves outside the door. This cottage truly gave us all of these. While it was isolated, we still had easy access to the wonders of Door County. We were able to enjoy fires in the fire pit on two nights and the total darkness of the area allowed for some star gazing. As mentioned in earlier reviews, the sheets did not fit the main bed well – we had to remake the bed each morning. And the water softener (or water pump) turned on a couple of times each night – it was pretty loud and awakened us. Just as an FYI for future renters – there is no cable or television stations available. There is internet access via satellite, but we were not able to stream anything. However, we would definitely recommend this place and are looking at a return visit.

Perfect locations, beautiful views

My husband and I have stayed in this exact location three times now. Once on our babymoon in 2018, with our ten month old in 2019, and now with our 3 year old, 4.5 month old, and grandma! This location is centrally located on the peninsula and has spectacular views. We love being right on the water. Sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing until your hearts content! It’s on a very quiet, peaceful road with hardly any traffic. The owners have made several very welcome updates in the past couple years. Including new flooring and a remodeled kitchen. Both improvements were much needed and tastefully done. However, the beds and bathroom could also use a bit of that’s same loving touch. The bed in the master is two twins with a topper. It’s comfortable but a bit tricky as it takes up the WHOLE room and the sheets don’t fit well over it. We often had to remake the bed in the middle of the night. This room also gets quite stuffy and would benefit greatly from an air conditioning unit. The front bedroom is perfect for kids. It has a full, a trundle, and a top bunk. However, it’s not very comfortable for adults. The maitresses are quite stiff and cheap. Everything was perfect otherwise. The kitchen was well stocked and we had plenty of towels. Overall, we enjoyed our annual trip to Door County and would love to stay here again!

Family vacation

This property was perfect for our family of 4. The house was as clean as possible for a cottage about 15 feet from the water and in the woods. I loved being so close to the water, the terrain to get to the water was fairly easy to navigate and we had so much fun!

Awesome private location

Overall would rate our experience slightly below average. The location and views from the property are amazing and peaceful. However the cleaning of the property was pretty subpar and the landscaping and yard was pretty overgrown. There was hair left in in bathroom shower and the floor had dirt and hair present. Our first evening there we had took on the role of pest control removing a small mouse that showed up in the living room. I did contact the property owners via email and phone however my email was never responded to and on my phone call I was told they would pass the info on to management. I understand it’s an older place and mice happen however for the price paid for this listing I was disappointed and even more disappointed in how it’s been handled afterwards. I did give the owners time to respond to me before writing this review but haven’t heard anything so find it only reasonable to warn other people considering this listing.

A cozy time in spite of the rain and the cold.

Of course I rented this spot without knowing it would be the coldest week of the summer. In spite of the weather, we found moments with no rain to hike and ride our mopeds. It was so peaceful and beautiful just walking the road in front of the cabin. The bed and furniture were very comfortable and I brought along the three Lord of the Ring movies to watch thankfully since Netflix was on the slow side.

Beautiful location for socially distanced vacation

The house is right on Lake Michigan. It’s perfect for a quick family gateway. All amenities are thoughtfully provided. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and firepit on cool nights. Sister bay town and restaurants are not too far away.

Great Family Getaway

We had a wonderful refreshing stay. All the amenities made it perfect and its location was within a 5 minute drive to the Wilderness Campground where some of our party camped. Went swimming in the lake and it felt awesome in this heat. The sunset at Sister Bay while eating cherry ice cream was the best! Thank you for everything! We loved it!

Lake getaway

Though this property isn't the most updated and doesn't have AC which did bother us one night it was honestly the perfect family vacation for the 3 of us. We wanted somewhere more secluded right on the water and it was amazing. To hear the waves first thing in the morning and at night was wonderful. Being close enough to the town was nice too. Just the exact type of getaway we were needing and hoping for. We have fallen in love with Door County for sure.

Beautiful view cozy house

We enjoyed our stay, the beautiful view, and restful quietness if the property. It is just as described with Lake Michigan as the right at the backyard. The only reason we have a 4 instead of 5 for cleanliness is we vacuumed a couple of times and still did not pick up all the white animal hair. We enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning off the deck.

Lake Michigan- family time

This cabin was away from the Door County crowds. Kids played all day at the waters edge. Good amenities and nicely equipped.

The location was amazing. The home need some updates but was okay. But the location was amazing.

As stated above the location was absolutely amazing. Listening to the water rush against the shore all night long was very soothing. It was a nice place that need to be updated in quite a few areas. But it was okay. The heating situation did not work well as the fireplace would not work. But as far as being stocked well for things you'll need plates dinner dishes pots pans It is Well stocked. Once again an absolutely great location with an ok home.

The musty/mildew odor really hits you when you walk in. We couldn’t sleep the first night. Didn’t go away fully with airing Otherwise cute cabin right on the lake with a gas fire place.

Overall good stay!

The size of the cottage was as expected and it fits 6 just fine. We are not fans of air mattresses. So bringing a cot or two is recommended. I don’t know why it was updated to say only 4. They provided everything you would need to be comfortable and the view of the lake was amazing. We weren’t able to take advantage of the fire pit...it was so windy. And you can walk down to the water but there is no strolling on the beach at this location. The rental company was responsive and offered a discount because cable/satellite could not be installed. They didn’t have a large stack of movies and while we were not there much we did play games and watch a movie one night. The first day we did come back to ants trying to get in the fridge...cranked up the cold on the fridge and sprayed some essential oil bug spray to keep them at bay and the rental company said they would address on Monday as we notified them on Friday. No big deal as long as it’s taken care of professionally from the outside. I was not a fan of the inflexibility of checking in a little early and out by 10am...that was tough when you had to do laundry. Didn’t want to mix the new red wash clothes with white towels and turn everything pink! Again overall Appleport worked out great for our family. It was remote...yet easy to find and quick to travel where we needed to go! Thx for a great stay!
