The property is a trailer home in a 24/7 guarded, gated community, with many amenities available in the community (lake, pool, club house, etc). It is a very short drive to Mtn Creek.I think the pictures made the property look much fresher and larger than it actually was. It fewls like a New England cottage or cabin; when we walked in the AC hadn’t been running and the air was very mildewy; everything in the home is dated; and overall everything is a result of “making it work”, be it the fit of the bathroom door or the dividing walls between the rooms. A French press was available with coffee grounds, but no drip coffee maker. There was no wifi that was apparent. My communication with the host wasn’t perfect. I created the booking late the night before, and awoke to urgent messages asking for more details of our group, to provide that information to the HOA/gate keepers. Apparently the HOA may deny requests for guests to made less than 24-48 hours in advance, but VRBO didn’t prevent us from making the booking, nor did the host *not* accept us for booking too late, accepting before getting the HOA’s approval. The HOA did approve us, but had they not, we would’ve had to deal with a frustrating cancellation/refund dance.Overall our stay was fine, but the property / listing / communication isn’t optimized for a Vrbo yet. Knowing these details, I would stay again with different expectations. More details in the listing & more upfront information would’ve made it better.
