May 2018 Stay

The property is nice and quite with great views. Kalapaki joes is a great place to dine. Our condo kahala 223 was very dirty upon arrival. Dusty, termite’s all around, and termite eggs in drawers, bed bug shells found on bed, the carpet was dirty and sticky. Front desk tried to rectify but failed. They wanted to move us but my husband couldn’t walk the stairs to the third floor, instead of finding us something else they didnt do anything. I asked if they could clean the drawers and carpet and look at the bed for bed bugs, they said yes but no attempt was made. Very disappointed by the management. I would not stay here again because my issues were not taken care of and quickly forgotten by suite paradise. This was our 17 year anniversary trip and they failed to make it better after we complained. Oh well you live and learn on where to stay and be treated properly.

The first day when you brought it to our attention we send our housekeeping staff early morning to re-do the carpet and exchange the dresser but you declined our service, we offered you by phone and email to move you up to the condo in the same building your response to our email was no, my boyfriend, and I decide to stay, then we gave you an incentive without you asking for the inconvenience .

Very happy during our stay. Loved proximity to the beach with nice walking paths to the beach, pool, tennis courts and around the complex. The beach view from the balcony was great. While it wasn't right on the beach, the view was nice and only a short walk. The condo was spacious, kitchen stocked with dishware, pots/pans & appliances. Bed was comfortable, towels were large and plush. Only recommendation is to upgrade family room furniture and opening the front door was challenging even after maintenance lubricated it. I would certainly stay here again!! Mahala!!

Everything you need in paradise

This place exceeded our expectations in just about every way. Location, walking distance to multiple world class beaches, access to the Athletic Club pool, being on the south shore during the rainy winter, spacious 1 bedroom unit with ocean views, parking spot right out front. So glad we found this place.

Perfect house for winter getaway!

We went to Northstar for a weekend getaway. The house was clean and had all sorts of fun activities for the kids. Will definitely go back! .

Pros and cons

Kauai is a wonderful island to visit, our second trip here. Poipu is a good place to stay esp. in the wetter months, we stayed on the east coast the last time. Pros and cons of our complex and unit: Pros - great location, short 5 minutes walk to Poipu beach - short 5 minutes drive to shopping and restaurants - well maintained and landscaped grounds - convenient parking - view of ocean from unit, very nice - spacious comfortable unit, high ceiling - above average mattress - beach towels available - complimentary wine upon arrival, appreciated Cons: - unit dated, requires at least cosmetic updating - very sparse poorly equipped kitchen - only salt and pepper available, nothing else - communal BBQ available only, not convenient - pools very average at best Likely above average value, may try for a different unit in the same complex.

Great Condo for launching your Kuaui Adventure!

The condo was great for what we were wanting on our family vacation. I'll start by listing who we are and what we were looking for. Family of 4, two boys, 6 & 10. We're an active family that plays a lot of tennis, and wanted a place that could serve as a launching point for jumping around the island, with enough nearby stuff to do if we wanted to just chill for a day or two. The view from the deck was amazing and beautiful. The condo itself was just what we wanted. It could probably use some updating, but we were neither looking for, nor expecting, luxurious accommodations. The master bedroom had a kingsize bed, and plenty of room in drawers and closets. The boys slept on the pullout couch. It was what you'd expect from a pullout. The kitchen had everything we needed, both with appliances and with utensils. The chilled wine in the fridge upon arrival was a nice touch. Poipu Beach is easily walkable, and was great! The snorkeling was better than I expected. The pools that are on property are not amazing, but nice to have available. If you're wanting to spend any time at a pool, I recommend taking advantage of the one at the Poipu Beach Athletic Club that you will have access to included in your stay. They have a nice pool with a slide and waterfall feature, and a hot tub. There is also a bar and restaurant there. We used the workout facilities there most every morning, which was nice to have available. They had free tennis there, but we play enough to where it was worth it for us get a month membership to the club that has the courts just off the deck. The sports bar/restaurant on the property was pretty cool, I wish we had hit that earlier in our trip. I had never stayed elsewhere on the island, but I can say I was pleased with the location too. It was easy enough to get to the stuff on the north side of the island (~1 hour), and less time heading west. Do NOT miss Waimea Canyon. Stunning. Pop out at Red Dirt Falls on your way up, that was pretty cool. We were here in March. We initially were looking at staying on the north side, but in looking at weather, it appeared better on the south, and that held true. We had a great trip, and were very happy with where we stayed. Thanks!

Perfect!

The room was elegant, the location was ideal, and the staff was wonderful! The view was something froma postcard. I would definitely use Suite Paradise again and recomment them to anyone coming to Poipu beach!
