Our single-family home is the perfect place to unwind after a fun-filled day in Virginia. Built in 2018, it offers 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The first-floor master bedroom is very convenient for older guests, and the large walk-in closet has been thoughtfully converted into a cozy kids’ room, complete with a portable crib and toys—ideal for families traveling with little ones.

The open-concept kitchen is perfect for family gatherings and spending time together. We’ve also added a backyard playground for children to enjoy, along with a water feature and firepit where adults can relax while keeping an eye on the kids.

We warmly welcome families with young children and are located in a very safe, family-friendly neighborhood.

My family and I needed a quiet place to stay while we met up with family for a funeral. The house was clean, comfortable, quiet, and had plenty of room for 6 adults to mingle while also having space. It was close enough to the main road for access to everything we needed, while still being in a quiet neighborhood. The host was very accommodating and communicative. Highly recommend.

Amazing for CNU visit

We had the most amazing time in this beautiful modern house! The rooms were perfect, the common area and living room are more beautiful than the pictures and the water feature outside is so peaceful! I couldn’t recommend staying here more!

We stayed over Thanksgiving with four couples and four children. The home was okay for a large family gathering, but there were several issues.We are a family who enjoys cooking together and the kitchen was not well outfitted for large gatherings who plan on that. You will need to bring large baking/roasting pans (there were a couple of mid sized baking dishes) and mid sized mixing/serving dishes (there was only one huge mixing bowl plus cereal bowls). There is a crock pot, but it is very very small. Also the ice maker barely made any ice. We have stayed in a number of Vrbo properties and this kitchen was disappointing compared to those.There were sufficient dishes, silverware and glassware that were nice and the bedding was quite comfortable. We also appreciated televisions in each room.Two of our family members are in their seventies with mobility issues and the furniture was quite low making it difficult to sit down and get up without help.Also.....if you're staying with more than a couple of people, plan your hot water use carefully. It runs out quickly. And all off the extra towels were downstairs, even though most of the bedrooms and bathrooms were are upstairs.The home was in a nice area, close to two good grocery stores and a number of things to do close by. Highlights were the Air & Space Museum and touring the Nautilus Naval ship decked out for Christmas.

Fun family gathering house.

Spacious house for a fun family gathering! Plenty of rooms and beds. The back yard is wonderful, the waterfall rock garden is amazing and soothing, and kids of all ages would enjoy the play set. Extra linens, towels and blankets available as needed and each room had plenty of pillows

Great place for a family gathering!

Unfortunately we made this trip to attend a family member funeral - but the location, house, and amenities were perfect. It was perfect to accommodate the family! It is also very close to the Hidenwood retirement home where our mother is staying - so we will definitely plan to request the property again for the next family gathering!

Location and cleanliness was perfect

Great little area near a beautiful college. We walked around, sat outside on the wonderful patio, and had easy access to the grocery store. (About 1.5 miles) lots of eating places nearby too! About 20m drive to all attractions too. Fabulous!!!

Great Space for Family Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving here with some of our extended family. We loved being all together in the same house for a few nights. The kitchen was WELL stocked. I've stayed in dozens of VRBOs over the years but never for Thanksgiving. We brought our own roaster for the turkey, otherwise the kitchen had everything we needed and more to make a big dinner for 10. The kitchen itself is very spacious as well so it was easy for a few of us to be in there at one time. The play set in the backyard was enjoyed by our 2 year old niece and the small foosball table upstairs was fun as well. There were plenty of towels in the linen closet upstairs and the bedrooms were comfortable. All in all we had a good stay.

Perfect in Every Way.

Seven of us stayed at this home for a family wedding. I think we were all in agreement that this home is fabulous! It is so comfortable that I felt I was in someone's actual home and not a rental. It is large and tasteful and well-equipped. There are five large bedrooms, the master on the first level. And the two full baths upstairs made it very easy for us all to bathe in the mornings and prep for the wedding. The owners communicated well and were pleasant and polite. I would definitely stay here again if in the area for an overnight!

Clean, convenient, large property

Conveniently located in a quiet family neighborhood. Grocery store and other shopping just a 5 minute drive from the house. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of plates, mugs, glassware, silverware. Check in wasn't until 5 pm which seemed a little late. We had an evening activity and so did not go to the house until late evening, but no problem finding it in the dark with Google maps. Owner responded almost immediately to all communications.

Graduation

We stayed here, as a family, for my middle daughters high school graduation. I had family coming from out of state and we wanted to be able to stay together. This house was perfect. There was enough room, such that, we did not feel like we were on top of one another. There were plenty of restrooms for showering and getting ready. The back yard was fun for the little children. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals for everyone and the dining table was enough room for all of us to share meals together. We would do it all again, in a heartbeat.

A perfect house for families and and extended family.

Stayed after Christmas for a family wedding in Newport News. Large common area. Raised bar worked well for snacks. We made many meals for the family and had the utensils we needed. Clean , neat and spacious. Appreciated that the house was not decorated with items that would break or be damaged. A hair dryer in downstairs bath, however it would have been handy to have one upstairs too. It worked well for us but a 6 day required stay may be a drawback.

Excellent Property

Great location, good property, clean, good for going for walks. Water pressure in the bathrooms was pretty low, but it was workable. Otherwise, the property seemed to be in really good shape. I guess there was one other thing. We had six children under the age of 10 in our party. There were only three kid-sized beds and a baby crib. It was workable for us but it would have been less than ideal if the two youngest had been a little older and needed a better bed. We managed fine but another party with six kids might not have.

Nice house, however…….

This was a nice house with spacious bedrooms, that sleeps 12 to 14 comfortably. The kitchen area was large with plenty of storage space, but lots of empty drawers and cabinet.s.. Also if you bring kids, there really isn’t anywhere for kids to play or to hangout to watch TV. The outside yard is enclosed and has a nice play set. Communication with the owner was easy and we received quick responses back. We did not find the house to be cleaned throughly. There were dusty kids toys (McDonald’s toy’s) under one of the sleep sofas and when we removed the sheets from one of the beds, it had a nasty stain on the mattress protector. We notified the owner and he was very apologetic and said he would talk to the cleaning crew. and make sure it was replaced. Overall we enjoyed our stay.. However here are some suggestions to the owners to make it even better: it could use more TV’s, dressers in the bedrooms, more large cooking pans, & pots, large mixing bowls, better towels and wash clothes, a long mirror and a electric can opener. Thanks for sharing your home!

Large home in a great location

This home is in a nice neighborhood, walking distance to where we needed to be. It is spacious, more room than we ended up needing, but quite comfortable. Perfect for a large group needing a lot of space. Everything is new and in good condition

Home away from home

Clean, spacious garage was great for storage. Quiet neighborhood provided great experience. Best beds we've ever had at a rental. Kitchen was well-equipped to cook for all. We recommend this spot for anybody looking for a great place in the Tidewater area.

Family trip

Our family of 14 had a great stay. House accommodated us well. Plenty of room and easy trip to Williamsburg and surrounding attractions. Host was very responsive to all our questions. We will stay here again.

Great stay!

The house was great and had plenty of space for our extended family of 11, which included five children ages 5-12. The owners were extremely responsive. The house is clean and in a good location for east access to many attractions.

Very nice place for family reunion

We had 8 family members stay here and it was very comfortable. The layout is excellent for a large group and the kitchen comfortably fits 4 or 5 people cooking at once.

Great home but neighbors not so great

I really enjoyed the home. The neighbors are not friendly. They are very rude. The one across the street is the one that cause trouble. He came over and pulled up the flags that was in the grass. Instead of explaining himself he just went off. He stated that he would have a talk with the owner. It states we can park on the street. Well it should say park in the street because you cant pull off onto the grass at ALL.

Our home was built in 2018. We knew you will be excited to stay in our home just like we are. Our home is located near one of Newport News main street Warrick Blvd., with convenient access to interstate 64, which can take you to any major attractions in Williamsburg, Norfolk, Suffolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake. It is also located near many Art centers and Museums like Peninsula Art center, Living Museum, just a couple blocks away.
