El mes de agosto es el mayor festival de comedia, música y artes del mundo. Estoy en un centro pinical de este increíble festival. ¡Los jóvenes adoran mi situación y a Cat!
Excelente ubicación cerca de la estatua de Greyfriars Bobby en la cima del Grassmarket. Cinco minutos de la Universidad y Meadows, que está a una milla de parque con el asiento de Arthur. Está a 10 minutos del Castillo y la Royal Mile directamente al lado del Grassmarket ... Hay hay muchos recorridos en el famoso cementerio gótico que se pueden ver desde la cocina ... mejor visto al atardecer en invierno ... JKRowling con base en Hogwarts en Heriots, la escuela privada que también se puede ver desde el plano ... Las persianas de madera originales de este 300 propiedad de un año corta el mundo moderno.

Si te gusta la historia o las barras de música folklórica, la ubicación es perfecta.
Este es un lugar de personajes ... El salón es bonito con fuego de leña real ... a veces solicitado. Es un poco como estar en una antigua granja en medio de la ciudad. La mayoría de la gente lo encuentra encantador ... Hay mucha agua caliente y toallas, etc. siempre. El dormitorio tiene cama king size y hay un futón individual también ...
El lugar es muy atmosférico. Con muchos bares populares cerca del piso ... ..
Este era el departamento que pertenecía a los panaderos que alimentaron al pequeño Bobby, el famoso perro que se sentó fielmente en la tumba de su amo durante años. Este es el casco antiguo de Edimburgo, rico en miles de años de historia con fácil acceso al autobús al aeropuerto, a quince minutos a pie de la estación Watherly y la calle Princes, el montículo y la Galería RSA.
Ha habido actividad de un poltergista que tiene la tendencia de arrojar guijarros pequeños a la ventana de la cocina y magullar a las personas que no se comportan. A menos que seas muy travieso, dejarás a la gente sola.

Artistas peculiares y un gran gato encantador te recibirán y tienes mucho espacio con 2 habitaciones privadas.

La dirección está directamente a la izquierda de la entrada a Greyfriars Kirkyard. La puerta es verde del mismo color que la tienda Greyfriars Art. Está en el primer piso por unas escaleras de piedra muy antiguas con dos mirillas talladas que muestran que el edificio se construyó mucho antes de la electricidad ... Hay un pasamanos ..

Está cerca de todos los monumentos y lugares de interés. Además de los lugares de recogida de los tours. Y el gato es muy cariñoso y sociable 😆

Excellent stay!

Overnight stay in July 2020. Excellent location, perfect property for myself and my partner as we looked to explore a little bit of Edinburgh. Lovely hostess, GREAT breakfast. Arty, bohemian, chic and just a quaint and quirky little flat which was perfect for us. Will return definitely!! Ps the Poltergeist may in fact just be true as it would appear the artwork had all been skewed slightly in the morning! Lol. Great experience all round!

Great location

Very cosy cottage-like appartment with a great view. Location is great, many shops and restaurants around. Sophie is very helpful.

Meget venligt og varmt værtsskab. Katten er sød og færdes stille omkring. Sophie skifter kattebakken hver dag. Der er al den forplejning man kan ønske sig. Er man til bohemian style er det sjovt og anderledes her. For nogle vil det være totalt ubærligt.

Quirky and fun!

If we come back to Scotland we’ll stay here again. If you are looking to spend a lot of money on a sterile tiny room with no window, go to the Waldorf. This place has character and several windows that open! Loved Sophia and Andy who helped us settle in!

Excellent value in the centre of Edinburgh

The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and there was plenty of room for my wife and I. The wifi was excellent, and there was Amazon Prime on the TV. The location can't be beat, very close to the Royal Mile and right beside Greyfriars Kirkyard. The owner provided some really nice extras for us, and plenty for breakfast during our stay, and was very accomodating and nice.

Great location!

This is a fantastic location to walk Edinburgh. Sophie is a warm, kind, and wonderful host with fabulous stories about the city and her family. Unfortunately, we were not in the city long enough to spend more time with Sophie. When I come back to Scotland, I hope to meet up with you!

Sophie was nice. Sam is a sweet cat. Sophie helped with finding music in the area for my friend. Having the Kirkyard behind the flat was nice. Easy walking distance to the bus stop for the bus to the airport.

Very friendly host and warm experience

Sophie was always responsive from the time we booked and tried to offer as much information as possible to us. She has been really friendly, helpful and generous to provide a great stay for us. It's an old building and apartment with an artistic and vintage style. There's no lifts and it's on 1/f however it locates at centre of Edinburgh and close to many main attractions as well as some great restaurants, which I believe can offset the need to exercise a very little bit. If you want an accomodation which enables you a local experience and even to make friends (with Sam the cat too!) I would recommend you give it a try! We miss you already Sophie and Sam~!

Lovely flat, lovely location, lovely host

We travelled to Edinburgh for me to do the half marathon, I called Sophie on arrival and she met us at the flat, she was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, even a bottle of wine and fresh flowers, she also offered to buy me exactly what I wanted for breakfast before the race but I had brought my own. The flat is very quirky and we mainly spent our time in the flat either people watching out the front window which overlooks Bobbies monument or watching the ghost walks around the Kirkyard. Little Bobbies grave is visible from the kitchen window and Bobbies monument from the front window. We will definately be returning and will recommend to our friends who want a home away from home in the center of Edinburgh old town.

Cosy and Quaint home in a great Location

Upon arrival Sophie met us in person and welcomed us to her appartment. The space was very homely with beautiful artwork displayed through the home. Conveniently located 10 minutes walk from Waverley station and on the doorstep of many famous Edinburgh attractions this was a lovely place to stay while in edinburgh!

Charming hostess and excellent location

Sophie was an excellent hostess who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable (more like pampered). Staying with her was more like visiting an old friend than your typical vacation rental experience. She was always happy to show us around and had lots of suggestions for good/affordable food and siteseeing. If ever we come back to Edinburgh we will definitely stay with Sophie and Sam again!

Very accommodating stay!

Had a lovely stay with Sophie and got to meet the adorable Sam! Sophie is very accommodating and does her best to make you feel at home. Location is fantastic, very near to the elephant house and grass market area. Plus there is a jewellers next door which has some lovely stuff! Would definitely recommend a stay here, especially if you are a fan of cats!

Quirky with plenty of livied in character. This felt like somebody’s home you would be house sitting for (not a soulless hotel room) and any initial doubt about you feeling you were intruding was quickly overcome by the welcome from Sofie (and her cat, Sam) who was so friendly and knowledgable for the locale it felt like you had a friend there. All facilities were fine and well kept- lovely big bed which was firm. The reason why we booked here was how close we were to all of the attractions (5 - 10 mins) and the price was more than fair. We would definitely return here.

We booked for the last night of our stay in Edinburgh 4th October 2018 On our arrival in Edinburgh we went to find where our accommodation was ,sadly nobody at the Greyfriars pub or the shops along the street had ever heard of it & had no idea as to what we were talking about... So,we rang the number provided and was told no such number... Then later in our stay went back & asked again at different little shops along the street & same answer... So we had to book somewhere else..Must add l paid for this HomeAway stay 22/7/2018.. So not at all happy... Need a refund as no way were we able to contact anyone...I must also add that my husband was so very much looking forward to staying here as he is a huge fan of Greyfriars Bobby... . Glenda James Australia...

Zentrumsnah, wunderbar

Mitten in der City von Edinburgh gelegen - alles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Restaurants und Bars befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Von der Küche aus kann man den Blick auf den legendären "Harry Potter"-Inspirationsort (Greyfriars Kirkyard) genießen. Es gibt ein gemütliches Bett und einen Fernseher mit fire-TV. Die Wohnung ist einfach, aber liebevoll eingerichtet mit Studenten-WG-Flair. Man teilt sich die Wohnung mit der Gastgeberin, die herzensgut ihre Gäste umsorgt, auf alle Wünsche eingeht, sich aber - wenn nötig - auch rücksichtsvoll zurückzieht. Der Hauskater Sam läßt sich gerne streicheln und genießt den Tag auf der Fensterbank.
