Great getaway

It was great getaway, bottom floor was perfect with our young children. My only complaint is that there was no measuring cup, there was a random variety of measuring spoons though and then the kitchen items seemed dirty. We pre-washed everything before we would use it.

Beautiful vacation

The condo is clean and has high ceilings, spacious rooms and beautiful art. We were there for the beach and truly enjoyed our stay, but there are a few improvements that could be made. The ceiling needs repaired above the master bathroom shower and we had to go shopping for new bath towels, as the ones provided were quite worn and torn. These issues were quickly overlooked as the island and the beaches are absolutely beautiful.

First timers

WE have stayed at Dauphin Island for the last 9 years, but this is the first time we have stayed at The Inn. We reserved a "half condo" which was plenty large enough for the two of us and for the grandkids to spend a night or two (slept 6). We were on the first floor, so there was a pool right outside our back patio door...VERY handy. And there were four pools total. Easy walking distance to a food establishment and some gift shops. Electronic entry codes for property gate and room door were very handy. No keys to keep up with or pick up or return. Our complaints were: The beach was SO FAR AWAY!!! Quite a hike for littles, disabled adults and non-disabled adults loaded with chairs, coolers, beach bags umbrellas, etc. The view from our room was....a sand dune. That was not clear in the room description. There was a TINY fraction of a break in the dune where we could see a microscopic section of the ocean and horizon. VERY disappointing for the price of the condo. Reading materials (current magazines, books), pen and paper would have been handy to have. Ice make was very slow to make ice. We purchased two small bags during our week stay. I went back and read my contract before leaving and it clearly stated NO PETS. However, there were dogs everywhere and the owners would bring them out to do their business away from their own condos but right next to ours!! Frustrating. Although everything was very nice, I am doubtful we will stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Being the customer has to clean, we don't really know how clean the dishes were.Towels were old and ragged. We only had two rolls of toilet paper for four people and 4 days. The dishwasher wouldn't start. Having to do the chores ourselves kinda took away from the last day of enjoyment.i would stay again only for the location on the island that was lacking in choices and entertainment.

The location was great. The place was ok, It could use a refresh. Paint, new curtains for slider, dishes. Outside furniture needs update. Pools and beach were fantastic. We had a great time.

We had a friend with us who has limited mobility and our unit was on the first floor near handicapped parking. The unit met our needs very well. The ceiling fans were dirty, otherwise the unit seemed well maintained.The rug in the living room slipped around, caused some instability while walking.The ceiling fans were dirty.

We found the condo very clean and location was great. The twin mattresses need to be updated and we’re not very comfortable. Otherwise the house was great! One thing that made us feel very unwanted was the downstairs neighbor next to the condo. They seemed to own their condo and made it very known that they did not like vacationer’s. They were very rude and made our stay uncomfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Dauphin Island for its simple, laid back, and peaceful atmosphere. Overall this is a great property and great staff to work with! We felt right at home. Kitchen well stocked with any dishes or kitchen gear you need. It should be noted the pools were EXTREMELY clean and the landscaping was immaculate. We saw maintenance personnel outside everyday taking care of this and that outside. My only three negatives:1. Did see a cockroach, fortunately only one and it is to be expected on a ground floor beach condo. There were also some teeny-tiny bugs around the natural fiber rug in the living room area. The kind you sometimes see in books/paper that have been stored a long time. On a positive note, the beds appeared to be free of any dreaded bed bugs!!! 2. Speaking of the bed, the king in the master definitely needs replaced as one side was completely sunken down into the box spring. Extremely uncomfortable. 3. The decking that carries you to the beach needs to be extended as we had to walk through mud, but it had been extremely rainy the few weeks prior.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our third trip to Dauphin Island and the second stay in our favorite unit! In preparing for our visit, we had no difficulties in registering and the after-hours check-in presented only a small hiccup which was quickly remedied (access codes changed due to our reserving so far in advance). The property was well maintained as always and the unit was just as cozy as we remembered. All in all, another great visit which is why we’re already planning our next one!

Amazing location, great beach & pool

This is our second stay at DIBC and I can’t speak highly enough of the location, beach and pools. The info communicated for check in was not very accurate (no gate code, no bldg number), but we got what we needed from the property manager. Nice place with a well stocked kitchen. Twin bed mattresses are pretty bad, but the king bed was perfect.

Great condo!

The space was perfect for 4 of us. There are plenty of things provided for cooking and serving meals. The pool is just outside the patio and the beach a short walk past the pool. The views are beautiful. Just a couple annoyances....the screen door to the patio needs replacing or repair to make it easier to slide, the Jets in the tub need a deep clean (looks like black mildew built up and we had to stick to showers only), the electric grill was not cleaned (manager said they would not charge us). No beach toys or chairs are provided. Overall, this is a great condo and property and we had an amazing time!
