This is a great place! Very close to center of carlsbad. Walking distance to town and beach. Just perfect! Only issue was heat on room. We happened to bed in Cali during a warm day. The a/c is only in bedroom, which leaves the living room very warm

Location is perfect for getting to the beach and nearby restaurants. Forgot about the train until we got there but it soon became background noise and not a bother at all. Lovely towels and nice bedroom linens. Kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely come back again!

Unit is clean but does not have AC. Portable unit in the bedroom helps at night time. Missing window screen at dining room table did not allow for fresh air that way, but new screen added at front door is a big plus!

It fit our needs perfectly & was very close walking to beach, shops, restaurants & entertainment. If there was a problem it was handled quickly. Since we’re from Arizona we weren’t used to the humidity so the separate a/c unit wasn’t as effective. However they had lots of fans that moved & cooled the air so sleeping was comfortable. Suggestion: A broom & dustpan for the little sand that unavoidably tracks into the kitchen or bathroom would be helpful.

The property was well equipped. The portable air conditioning unit emitted foul smelling air so we turned it off and opened windows. The bed was squeaky and not that comfortable. We have stayed at several units in this development but this was probably my least favorite.

Everything was great, a cute Thanksgiving themed welcome gift greeted us in the kitchen :-)The kitchen faucet was loose but was fixed the next day after we arrived.

The place was great. Property Manager gave us his number and was accessible. Location is a short walk to the beach and Carlsbad Village. Love Monterey Gage!

This is a great location. Walking distance to everything. I would have given it 5 stars, however, I did not realize there was only a small room AC. It was super hot the week we were there. It was unbearably uncomfortable to be in any room except the bedroom where the AC unit was. When I inquired on this, I was told there were fans in the unit, did I need help locating them?? Well, it's a 1 BR unit and there was 1 fan, not many places to look... Knowing we were miserable midday on day #2, they brought 2 additional fans the following day, #3. They also said the AC unit could be turned down to 68 degrees, and I had it set for 78...no... it never cooled past 70 at night and 78 during the day, I actually had it set for 65. They said to keep the BR door shut, so the BR was decent but the rest of the place was miserable. They also said to keep the windows open and run all the fans (we now had 3) but to do that, you have to have the blinds open or up and people are walking past those windows and can see into the condo all day long. My husband had to work via teams (like zoom) on day 4 and everyone who was near our condo could hear because we had the windows up and he didn't want to have the meeting on the bed.One other issue: the parking is EXTREMELY tight. We could get our sedan in there, but never the SUV.Aside from spending over 300 a night to be very uncomfortable, sweating in the entire place except the BR, the host was very responsive via text, the location was great.

As noted in our listing, central air conditioning is not an amenity at this property, and coastal temperatures in Oceanside can rise during unusual summer heatwaves. While we do provide a portable room AC unit in the bedroom and were glad to bring extra fans during your stay, we appreciate your notes regarding privacy, airflow, and the tight parking spot. We will keep these details in mind as we continue working to improve overall guest comfort.

Carlsbad Village

Overall stay was lovely. Place was very nice. Would have liked to have instructions for 4 tv remotes :). TV screen in bedroom very small Noisy due to train tracks nearby and lots of partiers in Surrounding area Saturday evening.

Wonderful Location!

The unit was clean except for tiny ants in the bathroom and kitchen. Heard from other guests in same complex that they were having issues with the ants also. Supposedly the complex HOA was contacted to see about pest control.

Very comfortable confo

The condo is well located, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. It has most everything needed, including lots of towels, comfortable bed, lots of dishes and cookware. I would definitely return here for another stay. My only small suggestions would be to fix the dripping kitchen faucet (it turns off but I had to play with the lever to find just the right spot), Kleenex, and food storage items would be helpful (Saran wrap, aluminum foil, ziplocks or the like). There was something in the checkin instructions about a lockbox but I couldn’t locate it but the door code worked fine and a key wasn’t needed. All in all a very nice place.
