En medio de todo, pero lejos de todo ... Elk Meadow Cottage es lo mejor de ambos mundos. Nuestra casa está a solo 5 millas de la I-40 y bordeada en 3 lados por el Bosque Nacional Kaibab, brindándole privacidad, paz y tranquilidad. Sin embargo, también está convenientemente ubicado a solo 20 minutos de Flagstaff y Williams / Polar Express, ya solo una hora del Gran Cañón y Sedona. Hay mucho que hacer y ver en el norte de Arizona y Elk Meadow Cottage es la base perfecta para sus aventuras.

Nuestra cabaña está bien amueblada, tiene ropa de cama nueva y de primera calidad y se mantiene en perfecto estado. También tenemos muchas actividades al aire libre divertidas, que incluyen hamacas, tirolinas, líneas flojas, columpios y herraduras.

El dormitorio principal cuenta con una cama king y un baño contiguo con bañera de hidromasaje. Arriba hay 3 dormitorios más y un segundo baño completo. A los niños les encanta dormir y jugar en el acogedor espacio del loft.

La ubicación perfecta para su campamento base para todas las atracciones y maravillas naturales que ofrece el norte de Arizona. Acceso al Gran Cañón, Sedona, Slide Rock Park, Polar Express & North Pole Experience, Grand Canyon Railway, 5 lagos de pesca de la zona y varios campos de golf.

Relájese junto a la chimenea con un libro o disfrute de una de las muchas películas y juegos para toda la familia que se ofrecen. Barbacoa y cena en la terraza bajo los pinos. El aire fresco, fresco y con aroma a pino de la montaña en este entorno boscoso en el Bosque Nacional Kaibab a 7500 pies. La casa está ubicada en un área conocida por la observación de la vida silvestre, las vistas de los picos de San Francisco y el acceso a millas y millas de senderos para caminatas / ciclismo / esquí de fondo.

This was the absolute best place, I just had a feeling it was going to be perfect for a small Christmas vacation with the family and it was even more perfect than I ever could have imagined the whole family had a blast the kids were never bored and it was absolutely beautiful inside and out we can not wait to book again next year!

This was a great property to stay at! House was clean and stocked with everything we could want. It was convenient to get to Grand Canyon and Williams but secluded enough to feel like a private getaway. The host was easy to communicate with and had everything written out for us once we got there. Overall excellent vacation experience!

This home was very warm and welcoming. Stocked with everything you need for your stay, including a stocked kitchen, board games, toddler & kid toys, kids loft area and much more. The bird feeder hanging outside the large dining room window was really fun to watch all the different birds come to eat. We felt right at home and enjoyed making wonderful memories with our children and grandson. It was very nice enjoying quiet time on the deck and taking in the cooler weather. Thank you, we can't wait to stay again.

House is impeccable, and perfectly outfitted as advertised. The instructions are approachable and welcoming rather than admonishing. The hosts have paid attention to every detail. For example the bird feeder! The kitchen contains exactly what a rental should contain, It’s situated right in the forest at a trail head. I would absolutely stay here again and again.

Great place to relax

The home was very clean, well stocked with supplies for guest to use and had a book with detailed instructions on everything the home offered. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and relax. Plenty of outside activities like horse shoes, a slack line, a hammock and disc golf net. The patio was spacious with a nice grill facing the woods. The deer came by in the evenings and multiple species of birds visited the bird feeder in the dinner table window. Great escape for large groups and we will for sure be back!

Perfect place for our family vacation

From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we were in love with Elk Cottage. There was snow on the ground and sleds and snowball makers on the porch which was a real treat for our grandkids.Everything about the property was as described. The beds were so comfortable, the pantry was well stocked, the kitchen had everything we needed, including a griddle for our pancakes and French toast. For our grandchildren, the room with all the games and the dvd player was just perfect. And the loft was their favorite place to play. It is centrally located to all the places we wanted to see. We went to Williams, Bearizona, Lava River Cave, Sunset Crater and Lowell Observatory. We also took the train to the Grand Canyon and drove to Sedona, Slide Rock State Park and Red Rock State Park.My favorite spot was at the dining room table early in the morning, watching the birds, chipmunks, squirrels and all the deer.Emily sent us lots of information with detailed descriptions of things to see and places to eat. Communication with her was easy and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and everyone in our family wants to come back. We would definitely recommend the Elk Cottage.

Wonderful house for a family vacation!

The house is beautiful and well-furnished for a family stay. There are outdoor and indoors games and toys, board games, kid books, stepping stools for the bathroom, and everything you need to stay with young kids. The surroundings are QUIET and peaceful. We could see some wild animals from the big picture window by the dining table. Everything was very clear. There are kitchen basics and everything was in good shape. If you just wanted to go and hang out with family, this would be a great place by itself. But, it is also in an excellent location to drive up to see the Grand Canyon and other parks, sites, and attractions! We would absolutely recommend this place to others and would stay here again if opportunity takes us back to northern Arizona!

Forest retreat

Cabin was perfect, location was ideal. Family enjoyed the hammock the most. The kids enjoyed the hide-away loft the most! Played poker every night with their poker set next to the indoor wood-burning fire place. Trail head right outside the gate took us to see deer, a stray calf, and antelope. Faulty bathroom sink faux-door that fell on my toe and couldn’t get the living room DVD player to work were the only cons! Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Family Home

This house is amazing for a family with kids. The house included many movies, games, indoor and outdoor games and activities, and the loft is a great place for kids to hang out. The amenities in the house are very well-labeled and abundant. The items provided are above and beyond other houses where I’ve stayed. The seating in the living room and dining area match the number of sleeping spaces. We had an amazing time. Thank you!!

Perfect family getaway!

We had the best time! The house had tons of room for everyone to sleep, lots of board games, DVDs to watch, bird watching supplies, journals, and a bath tub with jets! My favorite thing about it though, was the wrap around patio. We drank cocoa and coffee and watched the snow fall. It was beautiful!

Great place!

The property is great, we had fun feeding birds and hiking in the area. Kids adored the loft, it is super cool! They were bummed about the Zipline being down but there were so many other things to do both inside and outside. Kitchen was awesome, made lots of food. Stay was good

The home is located very close to the main road, I could not determine that based on photos. The home is cozy and warm. All things needed were available and supplied. Some basic maintenance needs to be done to the home. We followed all rules but toilet on main floor kept backing up. Some trim baseboards were lose that need to be fixed and filter water faucet needs to be tightened just some minor things but all else was good.

Grand Canyon and Sedona hiking trip

Clean and comfortable, had everything we needed and more! Friendly and efficient communication with host, simple check-in and check-out. We so enjoyed our stay here - the cottage feels so warm and welcoming and had plenty of room for our group of 8. We loved the peaceful, secluded setting while just a short drive to Flagstaff and Williams and right at one hour to both Grand Canyon NP and Sedona hiking trails. The cottage has a well-appointed and organized kitchen to make cooking for a group easy, and has many thoughtful touches that made our stay so pleasant, like a kind friend had prepared a special place just for us. Thank you!

Hi :-) I grew up in Southern California, then lived in NYC for a few years (where I met my husband) before settling in Anthem, AZ and starting our family! My husband and I have lived in Anthem for 20 years and have four kids. The Flagstaff/Williams area is a perfect escape from the heat of the Valley during the summer, a gorgeous place to see the leaves changing in the Fall, and a wonderful place to experience a 'real winter' and give our kids a chance to sled and build snowmen!! :-)

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This place is amazing! We fell in love the first time we saw it. The Parks area is the perfect location, halfway between Flagstaff and Williams. We love the feel of being in the forest rather than in a neighborhood. It really makes us feel like we are "getting away" :-)

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

One of my favorite things about the cottage is the 'Loft', which is a kid-sized play area above one of the upstairs bedrooms. It is such a unique and fun place!
