Excelente ubicación, el espacio equipado con todo lo necesario para una gran estancia, lo que pueden mejorar es la LIMPIEZA del espacio cuando lo entregan a los huéspedes, el baño sin jabón de manos. Todo lo demás muy a gusto.

We had a pleasant stay here. It's a great location, close to restaurants, subway, bus stops and shopping. The suite is spacious and even though it's overlooking the the street it was quiet. It has an efficiency kitchen (1 burner, microwave, fridge and sink) which allowed us to make a simple breakfast or reheat leftovers. This suit is on two floors and it's one floor up from the street so the only people I would not recommend it to are people who can't climb stairs -- no elevator. We thought it was great and I would love to come back.

Location was great! Right in the middle of Gion. There were tons of restaurants around, lots of shopping and bus/train stations nearby. It was easy to get around from here. The rooms were very spacious and clean. I love the little zen garden and big screen TVs (although you wouldn't need this with the many things to see around Kyoto). The beds were comfortable and even though there wasn't any cleaning service available, they provide lots of towels and other necessities. My most favorite part is the bathroom! The Toto toilet and deep soaking tub were amazing! Only in Japan!

Different, but amazing

The check-in process is a little complicated, but my goodness the place itself was way more spacious and nice than a regular hotel room. Despite the complicated process, the staff made every possible accommodation to make our stay nice. I would highly recommend.

I Love this neighborhood!

Great two floor unit in Gion!!! Lots of great things to do right around the area. Very nice and a great value for what we paid. Only downside is you have to go to an off-site location (located near the Kyoto train station) before checking in.

We were very happy with the accommodation. Very nice apartment and spacious. It’s at a very convenient location. The only inconvenient part is check in is at a different location. As I didn’t read the instructions properly after receiving my confirmation. I only found out at the property that check in is at a different location. So after walking up the flight of stair with our suitcases only to find no one at the property, it was when I read my confirmation that I found out about checkin at the different location. It was very tiring as we travelled with young kids. We had to carry the suitcases down the stair again and catch a taxi to the check in office. Once we got the keys and could access the apartment it was all comfort!

Terrific location and clean

Location is ideal. We’ve been to Kyoto maybe 6 times and have found that the JR Kyoto Station is far from all the sites in Kyoto. You typically take a bus which there are many at Kyoto station but they are crowded. Or a $15-20 taxi into the main area. I believe the main area of Kyoto with access to the famous Gion area with all the small alleyways of old and restaurants and shops. Shijo is the Main Street that runs from Yasaka Shrine down pass the river. Off 5-10min. Walks from Shijo are the restaurants and shops. Shijo is amazing. Resistay is easily found on the right side walking down Shijo toward the river. It is 2 traffic lights from Yasaka shrine. You’ll see it easily because the walls surrounding the entrance are a mactcha green. There’s. Koban (police box) on the corner and a famous mochi shop adjacent to the koban and a wonderful senbei shop adjacent to Resistay. A subway station is within 3min walking distance that can connect you throughout Kyoto. Ideal location. We will likely stay here again. Plum Room had a washer/dryer combo unit that washes a small load in 3 hours (unit washes and dries clothes. No transferring between cycles!). Room was clean and spacious for Japanese standards. Separate dining table in kitchen. Separate living room down stairs with pleasant rock garden. Queen Futon bed was comfortable and standard sized ones in a separate room were also comfortable. Fans and AC definitely helped. Overall, I recommend this locale.

We stayed at Plum room which has two floors; first (upper) level is the living area, kitchen, and washroom. Downstairs is where the bedrooms are and it also has living area and a small japanese garden there so you can enjoy the time there with a beautiful garden view. The room is clean. Location is perfect; right inside Gion area where you can access to restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing places easily. Check in is easy and staffs are very nice and helpful. The only thing to consider is that you have to walk upstairs to the front entrance and stairs are narrow. So during check in and check out time when you carry luggages, it could be a bit problem. But we are able to manage that. Overall it was an awesome stay!

Nice once you get into the hotel

The hotel is very well located with good space. Noise is non-existent even though you face a busy street. The process of check in is at a different location and not comfortable. The company should have a transportation service from the office to the room. Be careful if you need to go to the bathroom at night since the bathroom is in a different floor.

Very comfortable and cozy ! Perfect location !

This hotel was really comfortable and cozy. Especially it is located in perfect location which is Gion. Very clean, safe and convenient to stay here. Only two things may need to be improved. Firstly, this hotel doesn't have a shoehorn. It may cause inconvenience when guests need to wear their shoes easily. Secondly, this hotel didn't prepare an extra blanket even though we reserve the room for 3 people and the staff told us there should be an extra blanket in the room.. Well we couldn't find it. If you want to feel local, you should use here. This place is full of Japanese tastes which is clean and simply fine. If you need a REAL HOTEL which has resident staffs and breakfast buffet, you need to consider again. Anyway, I will put here in a first place of my wishful accommodation list of Kyoto in the future.

Good-looking, but not comfortable

The room is good-looking, and the location is very good. But the bedroom is no curtains, so the street light let us can't sleep. The emergency lighting is also near the bed. It also interferes our sleeping. The room isn't clean, too. The dirty batt is a lot in washing machine, and the stir stick was found in sofa gap. The most important is the room is only coded lock, and no bolt inside. We really feel un-safe.

Love this hotel

Location is excellent for new year events. Room is very good with everything you can think about like a small kitchen and laundry machine! We bought Japanese beef slices from a supermarket nearby and made shabu-shabu at one night. If they really need to improve something then the only thing I would suggest is they should have a shuttle between Kyoto station (their check-in desk) to the room location so we don't need to take bus or taxi to the room after check-in.

Unbeatable position, remarkable apartment

Right in the heart of Gion. Couldn't get a better position. Two minute walk to Yasaka Shrine, Hanami-Koji Street and Kenninji Temple. Very close to Gion Shirakawa and easy walk to Higashiyama district. Perfect position. And what an amazing apartment! Beautifully decorated and laid out, clean, modern, wonderful bathroom, laundry and kitchen/dining area, separate lounge area downstairs next to the two bedrooms. So much space!! A rare thing in Japanese accommodation. Very handy portable Wi-Fi, what a luxury. Only down side was that there is no partition or door between the two bedrooms and while this looked very nice, it had its problems with privacy. Particularly if there is a snorer in the group! Loved this apartment. Was a little difficult finding the offsite reception, but once there the reception staff were very, very helpful and guided us to taxis. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Appartement bien placé et propre

Nous avons séjourné en famille dans l’appartement Bamboo. Il est très bien situé dans Gion. Au premièr étage sans ascenseur d’un petit immeuble. L’escalier est très pentu. Attention avec les grosses valises ! L’appartement est un duplex. Le haut est la chambre. Avec 2 grands lits très confortables. Le bas comprends la salle de bain qui a une bonne taille, les toilettes séparés et une « pièce à vivre ». Très petite. Nous n’avons pas cuisiné ni pris de repas dans l’appartement donc cela ne nous a pas beaucoup gêné mais si c’est le cas, je pense que c’est un peu petit. Le gros bémol pour nous a été l’odeur de tabac froid dans l’appartement. Alors qu’il y est interdit de fumer.... à part cela, tout était très propre. Bien aménagé : lave linge (qui fait aussi sèche linge), frigo, micro ondes, plaques électriques. Ustensiles pour cuisiner de base et vaisselle également. En résumé, je recommande !

Really nice place to call home

Even though it is on the busiest street in Gion, the apartment is tucked in like a secret enclave. The inside is very nicely done with plenty of room spread over two floors. This was a great place for my family of two plus an infant to unpack, settle in, and use as a base for our Kyoto explorations. I would love to come back. Be sure to note, however, that you don't show up to the address for check-in! I missed that detail in the emails and had to take a cab ride back to the Kyoto station in order to complete the check-in process.
