Charming Private Mountain Haven with Hot Tub! Eco-Friendly!

Welcome to this lovely Junior Suite in Cascade-Chipita Park! This fabulous rental is a spacious room featuring 1 comfortable king bed, a lovely bathroom with a bidet & walk-in shower, a small table, a couch, a ROKU TV, and a fully stocked coffee cart . Guests will have a separate entrance to their studio, a private parking space, and private use of the hot tub within the enclosed courtyard. We are nestled in the majestic Rocky Mountains and are located 10-20 min of Manitou Springs, CO Springs, Woodland Park & 5 min to Pikes Peak. Close day travel for skiing, snow boarding, snow tubing, hot springs & more. Perfect spot for romantics to celebrate their memorable occasion!

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a whole cabin, but instead a very SPACIOUS private bedroom and bathroom. This room is attached to our home that we live in year round. You will have a private driveway, private use of the courtyard and a private entrance to your room.

If you are booking in the fall/winter/spring from October on into May, you MUST drive either an AWD or Four-Wheel Drive vehicle. We will get snow (often beginning in October), and the snow often results into an icy road. Even though we live off of a paved road, it is a fairly steep hill to our driveway and can be very slick. It will likely be impassible without this type of vehicle.

Our home is almost all Eco-Friendly! Starting with our Solar Panels for all of its energy needs, to its "earth friendly" needs that include all of the cleaning supplies that we use down to the shampoo that we provide. We are also very blessed to have all natural well water!

Our modern space is perfectly situated in the peaceful mountains of Cascade, yet close to the shopping, dining, and cultural amenities of town. Easy access for outdoor enthusiasts, quiet relaxing space for those looking to unwind, and natural beauty everywhere you look.

We combine the comforts of home with the joy of vacation. Our quiet backyard oasis is complete in summer with flowering trees, gardens, green grass, a spacious hot tub (year round), a comfy swing, patio table and an outdoor grill. You will have your own private upper parking space.

Our tastefully decorated junior suite (within our home) is a large room that has space to spread out and rest, including amenities such as a comfy King bed, a twin sleeper couch, WiFi, a diverse book & DVD collection, family games, ROKU availability, microwave, mini fridge, Keurig, yummy baked goods, and small dining area.

However, since there is NO KITCHEN, your host Shelly offers for your convenience a variety of menu options for homemade baked goods (from scratch!) available for a quick, inexpensive and delicious breakfast or trail snack.

Not only will you notice that our rental is extremely clean by visual standards, but it's sanitary through all the layers of bedding as well. I want our guests to know that we WASH EVERYTHING; not just the bed linens but also the Duvet Cover each and EVERY time we have new guests! Our bathroom is also squeaky clean!

Our fee for our space accommodates 2 people, but there is also a twin sofa bed space for a 3rd person ($15 extra fee per night). Sadly we cannot allow more than 3 adults in our space.

We live on the premises and are happy to make recommendations or assist with anything that will make your stay more enjoyable while here. You may see us occasionally in the shared garden space taking care of the plants or maintaining the hot tub. Otherwise we will do our best to honor your privacy, so we won't plan to greet you unless you'd like to meet us, then please just let us know. We love meeting our guests! We are available by text during business hours. In the occasional situation where we may not be available personally, we will have another contact for you to reach out to.

Our check in is 4:00 PM and Check out is 11:00 AM. THERE IS A $50 LATE FEE charged per hour for late check out, unless scheduled in advance.

Our guest junior suite has a private entrance but is attached to our family home. Shared walls mean the same sounds one would experience at a hotel or condo. You might even smell our bacon cooking!

Your private driveway is flat and sizable. There is room for one vehicle only.

A $50 extra cleaning fee may be charged for failing to respect the hot tub rules, including: using glass in or near the hot tub, wearing heavy lotions or hair products in the hot tub, spilling food, drink, or bodily fluid in the hot tub. Any of the above actions offset the chemical balance of the hot tub and make it unsanitary for future guests. Thank you for understanding (and showering before enjoying the hot tub).

We do have neighbors, but lot sizes are quite large and you have unobstructed views of the foothills from your west window.

We have 2 resident dogs that prefer to be the only animals on the property. So sadly, we cannot allow our guests to bring any pets with them. We ask that you also please do not associate with or touch our family pets. Our dogs do not roam free and are considered "indoor" dogs, but you will probably hear them bark some during the day while in the house, side yard or out on the front deck. They are our mountain protectors and home security system!

We do not have air conditioning but since we live in the mountains it is generally cooler here. We are about 8 - 10 degrees cooler than in the Colorado Springs area. Opening your windows at night brings in fresh cool air for night time sleeping, and we also have 2 fans in the room for your comfort.

Please note that our bathroom is a 3/4 size. This means that there is NO bathtub, but instead, a beautiful walk-in tiled shower with a bench seat.

Cell phone service is a little patchy here in the mountains. Verizon users get the best reception. We do have WiFi availability for streaming services, but again because we live in the mountains, it can be intermittent at times. We do not have cable television but there is a large TV in the room with ROKU availability and a DVD player.

Your room is also equipped with space heater (winter only), fan, white noise machine (for those light sleepers!), water and yummy baked goods! We do not have a kitchen and therefore do not allow any indoor cooking of any kind, although we do provide a propane grill and BBQ tools for use out on the patio. We provide paper plates, cups, and eating utensils. We also have a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig with a variety of coffee pods and teas.

We are originally mid-westerners, but moved to Colorado to be near our children and grandson. I Shelly, love to read, garden and bake from scratch. Carl, loves to fish, read and be creative. We both love spending time with our family. We've been hosting since we have moved here, & we enjoy it immensely! It's very satisfying to us to create a beautiful, safe and relaxing atmosphere to those who want to come and enjoy the the beauty and activities that our incredible state provides!

The beauty of our property is that you are "far enough out" from the city to have the cooler mountain air, views and peacefulness; and yet "close enough" to the city for all conveniences and attractions. Because lodging here is cheaper than resorts, many guests stay with us and "day trip" for skiing, white water rafting, hot springs soaking or bigger city events.

We pride ourselves on providing a safe, beautiful and extremely clean haven for our guests. Because we live on the premises, we are able to take care of any problems that might come up quickly. We also only hire cleaners that will do an "over the top" cleaning job each time they come (such as washing ALL the components of a bed, not just the bed sheets). In addition, we try to provide all things within your space that is needed for comfort during your stay with us, so that you don't have to pack those extra things from home. We'll also do our best to answer any questions or to make suggestions for activities as well.

Our Mountain Haven is a luxurious room that is a wonderful place to celebrate those special occasions; honeymoons, birthdays, anniversaries and other life events.
