While you're out, check out Folly Beach Pier for its seasonal festivals and events like the Folly Beach Jazz Festival and FollyPalooza music festival. If you're interested in biking, crabbing, or camping, James Island County Park is just under nine miles away with lots of beautiful nature and even a climbing wall and Splash Zone Waterpark to check out.
