Bellamente amueblado en todo, esta casa de 3 niveles cuenta con una gran habitación de matrimonio en el primer nivel, 2 suites principales frente al golfo con baño privado y entradas privadas a la terraza cubierta grande, y 2 dormitorios adicionales con baño Jack & Jill en el segundo nivel . El nivel superior es un espacioso suite principal de 540 pies cuadrados con su propio baño, un mini refrigerador y un balcón privado. El nivel principal ofrece un plano de planta abierto con una cocina maravillosamente equipada (además de un wet bar separado) que da a la gran sala de estar y el comedor. ¡Bar Harbor Duplex es la casa de playa perfecta para su familia! What we loved about the house is the proximity to the beach. Probably the closest that we have ever been to the beach. We also appreciated the fact that there were three rooms with king size beds, and the beds were comfortable. I also appreciated the fact the table was large and when we added the bar stools, could accommodate all of my family. We had a few issues with the house, and when we called the realty company, and they responded immediately. The house does need updating. The kitchen did not even have a potholder. The kitchen stovetop only had one large burner that worked. The whole house needs to be painted..it was dungy. The carpet needs to be torn out and replaced. It was dirty. One of the bedroom closets didn't even have a clothes rod. The AC didn't work very well the last night of our stay in one of the guest rooms; it was very hot. I will add, that if the house were updated, and the above listed items were addressed, the house would be so amazing!

Thanksgiving Holiday

Our family stayed at Bar Harbor West for 9 days. The home is very spacious. It had all the amenities our family needed to make our vacation enjoyable. The property managers were very easy to work with

Large house

We picked this place for the number of people it could sleep. The previous reviews said it needed updating but they would stay there again. It still needs the updating but we would probably stay again. Primarily, the western master on second floor needs a single room AC. It was very hot in there. We worked around the issues of cooktop eye not working, two microwaves, one of which did not work, and the shortage of storage/mixing bowls. There were way too many pans/pots but very few bowls for cooking/storage. We made a trip to Dollar General and purchased our own. Loved the closeness to the water. Trips across hot sand are not fun! I personally did not like the screened in deck. The screens detracted from the view of the water. And there is no patio furniture on the upper decks and no outside table at all. Again, we brought our own chairs with us to sit out on upper decks at night. Much too hot to sit out up there during day! Living area was good. Big dining room table. Large TV. But there are a lot of stairs. Loved not having too many people crowded into same area on beach as happens if you stay in a condo. All things considered, we would stay at Bar Harbor West again.

Wonderful views and white sandy beech

Our kids and grandkids really enjoyed the beach right outside the door. It’s a quiet area on the beach with screened in porch on the first floor to gather and watch the waves. We enjoyed our stay.

Good stay

The property was in a nice location. The house had a lot of nice amenities but many of them did not work properly. Just needs to be worked on up a bit. The back balcony decks had zero furniture on them for guests. You would have to just sit on the floor if you wanted to use those areas.

Great place for a large group

The house is a huge 12 bedroom duplex, but we just booked one side with 6 bedrooms. It is right on the beach, with excellent views of the gulf of Mexico.

All Good!

We loved having bedrooms for everyone and being right on the beach. Some of the decor was dated, but served it's purpose. Plenty of space for fun.

Ample space, needs updates

We ran into issues on our first day, the home was large and close to the beach as advertised. However, there were quite a few updates needed in the home. After our stay, we discussed these issues with the rental manager and were told they would fix them. Overall, we were able to look past the cosmetic issues and have a good trip with our family.

Cannot beat this view!

First off i will start by saying that if you like your privacy and come to the beach to spend your vacation on the beach, then this is the perfect place for you! We were only steps from the beach and ocean and enjoyed the balconies on each floor for the breakfast and sunrise views. This place is huge. We had more rooms than guests. This worked out great as the grands used one room as play room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were stellar. The upstairs balcony and room is worth the climb. There is a lot of climbing here. We have small children with us and found a gate in the closet for the stairs and we were very appreciative of that. The climb down to get out of the beach house and to get down to the beach was significant. It could be improved with better handrails but we made it the whole week with only one fall. Be careful on the balconies, the wood is not treated and we also had one child get their foot pierced with a 3 inch splinter that I had to remove. After that we were more careful and made everyone wear shoes on the balcony. We did not find any beach toys like some of the other rentals have. And there were no chairs for the balcony either. We had some minor issues with the washer and the upstairs room but the owners responded promptly. The kitchen and living space is huge and we took advantage of that. Would def come back and stay again!

Beach front love

The home was quite nice for our family's to be together. we enjoyed the beach time tremendously! I feel the property could use some updates but nothing that detracted from our stay!

Family stay

Great place for families or large groups

This place was great for our family vacation. Plenty of space for all of us, and it had perfect beach access. It is somewhat of a drive to eat at good restaurants in Gulf Shores, but I like being secluded. The beach areas were not crowded at all, and we loved that part. We were able to set up a large canopy on the beach and leave it and our chairs there all week without issue (probably not recommended by most, but we weren't worried - this is a really nice area). My only complaint is the cleanliness of the unit and also the repairs which are needed. The ceiling fans in the living room area were caked with dust. Light fixtures also needed repair in the same room (missing bulbs, bulb covers, or both). The smoke detectors would not stop beeping even after replacing the batteries. One went off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. There were no shelves in the door of the refrigerator, so it made space an issue. The upstairs master suite had a fan, but it was very noisy. We ended up not using it most of the trip. All sliding glass doors were difficult to open - I assume this is due to the weather just wearing the tracks out and also sand and such getting into them. A lot of the window screens need replacing. The deck boards on the uncovered balconies are in need of serious repair. They are all dry and brittle with opportunities for splinters. The curtains in the unit could also use a good wash. All that said, we would rent this place again. None of these opportunities were enough to keep us from booking another trip here in the future. We had a great time.

Beautiful location

The home and location was incredible. Our family spent a long weekend there and it was amazing. Perfect for everyone and spectacular views. Ideal for a family with small children! The beach is RIGHT THERE! Super comfortable beds. The only complaint I have is that after we left, we were called about a stain on one of the bunk beds. Given the amount we paid for cleaning and incidental damage, we are still waiting to find out how much we are being charged. Unfortunate that we did not know the stain was there. Had we known and had we notified the property manager, we would not be charged. Otherwise, a perfect vacation.

Great location and room layout but the property needs major renovation and repairs.

Beds were clean and comfortable and the room layout was great for our large group. However for the price I was very disappointed in the condition of the property. Refrigerator needs to be replaced. There are holes in the walls, had water dripping from air conditioner vents and mold around air conditioner vents as well as mold in the bathrooms and master bedrooms. Paint peeling in several places from previous leaks and front bathroom on 2nd floor smells really bad. None of the smoke detectors have batteries!! No remote for tv in 1st floor bedroom. Large armoire in second floor master has broken leg and is dangerous! The curtain rod in 3 rd floor suite is broken and falls when you open or close the curtain. Shower in second floor master not draining properly, air conditioner in second floor master not working properly. I was also disappointed in the cleanliness of the entire property. It hadn’t been dusted and when we arrived the sliding glass door was dirty, kitchen sink was dirty, shower curtain in 3rd floor bath was nasty and molded. When we arrived the refrigerator was leaking water onto the floor and when called, the repair man did come right away to check it out.

Great end of summer vacation

Property was very big and spacious but minor things needed to be repaired, quick cheap fixes, come-on guys.... No grill either... But beach is right there... And house is set up well so everyone can hang out together or have privacy when needed. Will definitely consider renting again.

Great Location, not well maintained

The location and size of our property for our group of 13 was great! You walk right out to the beach. The beach itself is quite and very family friendly. At arrival, however, we noticed our rental was not cleaned to standard(dishes put away dirty, cabinets had food drippings, personal items of other renters not discarded like a T-shirt and medication). Our refrigerator was in disrepair with missing and broken shelves. The shelves had been duck taped but that didn’t help much. The refrigerator and dish washer leaked. Several walls had holes in the dry wall and there were several spots on the ceiling where water leaks were evident. When I called about the refrigerator they sent out a maintenance man who was very friendly but he didn’t do anything to repair the refrigerator. When I made the management company aware of the holes in the wall they said they knew they were there but hadn’t had time to fix them. A few days later we called to ask for our tv to be fixed(not working) and to let them know we had spotted 3 roaches. They said they’d have someone right out. They did come spray for bugs that same day but the tv was never fixed. Several of our remotes were missing batteries as well. Overall we made a good time of our vacation. The house is large and spacious and you can’t beat the location. We would have loved to have a barbecue and more outside furniture.

Family time

Our house was wonderful with plenty of real beds and bathrooms for our crowd of 13 family members. Best part- walking straight out on the unobstructed beach. Not a great week weather- wise but we still made many happy memories. Wish there had been a grill and more adequate serving dishes.
