So many things! One noteworthy aspect is the history of the Rock Cut, and how it got its name. This land has been in relationship with the Anishnaabe and Menominee peoples for thousands of years. In more recent history, this cliff had been a site for mining, which is where the name Rock Cut came from. What's more, the foundation of the home has a stone foot of the neighboring cliff that juts into the basement itself, which the builder of the home chiseled away by hand in the building process.
Bald eagles circling overhead, their wings lit by the sunset - pretty cool.
Proximity to town, while still deeply in touch with the UP wilderness. The nightsky at the Rock Cut is truly something to see.
