Small and comfortable

Great place to stay

From the time we drove into the property it was fabulous, we were met by the host who showed us around and answered our questions. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to others for your Albany getaway, and hopefully we will come again in the future. Thanks to the host who supplied enough breakfast for our complete stay.

The property was just perfect for us. Comfortable, great location.

Our Albany stay

We absolutely loved our stay. The coach house is clean and comfortable. The bed was so comfy I fell asleep before my Husband. I would only suggest sweeping the cobwebs away.

Quaint little place.

Could do with some fly wire on the windows. Suffers from rising damp so smelled pretty musty. Very comfortable bed and adequate bathroom.

Perfectly tranquil

We loved our stay. Greg the owner was very welcoming. The cottagw was comfortable and having breakfast supplied was a nice touch. It was lovely to look through his antique store on the weekend. A treasure trove of goodies to be found. The location was peaceful and private. Loved it. Definitely recommend

Happy Times in the Coach House

We arrived late & to our pleasant surprise discovered that our genial generous host, Greg, had stocked the fridge for our breakfast, not just the basics like bread & milk, but had included orange juice,eggs,bacon, tomatoes etc, he even provided matches for the BBQ.The property is in a setting of lovely gardens about 10 minutes drive from Albany and is perfect for touring the Albany area

Heritage building. Just lovely

We lost power one night and thus had no water till my husband found the power box in the morning. We were unable to contact Greg, despite leaving messages. He apologised a couple of days later. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay

Spider webs, ants in the kettle and tap water, bed sheets were dirty like yellowish white. We booked for 3 nights but could not even stay one nights.

The Coach House

A peaceful location - I did not meet any other guests though they were there. Halfway between Mt Barker and Albany and half an hour away from the Porongurups. Two rooms - a large, combined living and bedroom with fridge, microwave, electric kettle, and frying pan. A combined kitchen sink and bathroom. Lovely antique style linen, antique furniture, tasteful and elegant prints on the wall. Modern shower recess that works well. A very comfortable bed - loved the white quilt and cushions with the rose motif stitched all over them. The antique shop next door is open on the weekend and had quality ware, very well displayed. The venue combines comfort with aesthetics that I appreciate - I will be back.

The stay was lovely. The room was great, really good size for a stay for two people. Big enough to have separate spaces and open enough to be together. Nice green and leafy open areas to relax in with a really nice coffee and strawberry restaurant 5 minutes away, with Albany center only 12 minutes away.

I loved the antique furniture. The host was very friendly and obliging. The breakfast left for us to cook was great. Unfortunately cooking in the room left a cooking smell. Being able to cook breakfast outside the bedroom with the frypan would be better. We weren’t a fan of the brown coloured rainwater for drinking so bought our own. I also think providing insect spray for the onslaught of insects would be a good idea.

Quaint and comfortable

A lovely little historic cottage in the rural part of Albany. It was cosy and comfortable. The owners were friendly and respectful of space. Great space a couples quiet getaway. They run a antique store adjacent which is nice for a look.

Wonderful stay

We spent 3 nights in the delightful Coach House. The cottage is spacious and homely. Not too far out of town. Close enough to explore Albany and surrounds. We loved our Autumn stay and definitely be back. Thank you Greg for our beautiful stay in your cottage.
