The Space:

Welcome to Top Shelf, a modern hilltop retreat with some of the most dramatic views in the Red River Gorge. Located only minutes from the Gorge Underground, Natural Bridge State Park, Miguel’s Pizza, and all the area’s top attractions, this cabin blends comfort, style, and unmatched convenience.



- Hilltop Setting & Views

Top Shelf sits high on a ridge directly behind the RRG Getaways office, accessed by a VERY steep gravel driveway that rewards you with panoramic valley views as soon as you reach the top. The entire back of the cabin opens to the landscape, giving you an elevated, private vantage point over the treetops.



- Expansive Covered Deck

A wraparound deck runs the full length of the cabin, fully covered so you can enjoy the outdoors in any weather. Here you’ll find:

• Adirondack seating with room to relax

• A propane grill, ready for guest use

• A year-round hot tub overlooking the valley

• Space for morning coffee, sunset cocktails, or late-night stargazing



- Modern Living Area

Step inside to a bright, open layout designed for comfort:

• Two cozy couches

• Smart TV for streaming

• Dining table for four

• Peninsula bar seating off the kitchen

Large windows let natural light pour in, keeping the view center stage from every angle.



- Fully Equipped Kitchen

The kitchen comes stocked with all the essentials you need for a relaxing stay, including:

• Full-size refrigerator

• Oven & stovetop

• Microwave

• Coffee maker

• Cookware, dishes, and utensils



- Two King Suites

Both bedrooms feature king-size mattresses and their own private en suite bathrooms, making this cabin ideal for two couples, families, or a luxury retreat with friends.

Each bathroom includes:

• A walk-in tiled shower

• Plush towels

• A clean, modern design



- Please note. This cabin has a very steep gravel driveway and 4x4 is required to park at the top. There is a lower parking area halfway up for 2wd vehicles, but you will then need to walk up the steep section of the driveway to reach the cabin. Please view photos of the driveway before booking. The top parking spot is only ideal for one vehicle to be able to turn around.



- Location

The location is exceptionally convenient: only 5 minutes to Natural Bridge State Park, Miguel’s Pizza, and Daniel Boone Coffee Shop, 10 minutes to RedPoint BBQ, and about 20 minutes to many of the Gorge’s most iconic hiking trails. Whether you’re here for climbing, sightseeing, or a relaxing mountain retreat, this central spot makes exploring easy.



Guest Access:

Guests have full, private access to the entire cabin, including both king bedrooms, the two en suite bathrooms, the fully equipped kitchen, living area, and all outdoor spaces. The covered deck, propane grill, and year-round hot tub are exclusively for your use. Parking is available at the top of the driveway (4x4 required), and you’ll check in easily with a code provided on the morning of arrival for the lockbox.



Other Things to Note:

4WD is required to access the upper parking area at the top of the driveway, as the gravel incline is very steep. A midway and less steep parking option is also available—a U-shaped pull-through area that does not require 4WD, though it still sits on a hill. Guests who choose to park at the midway point should be prepared for a steep walk up to the cabin. The views from the top make the climb well worth it. Please note the upper lot is only ideal for one vehicle.



RRG Getaways provides a starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.



-Toiletries (shampoo and body wash) are provided.

-No smoking allowed inside the cabin.

-We do our best to ensure the cabins stay fully stocked. However, due to the high volume of guests, things tend to run off. If there is something missing in the cabin, please reach out to us ASAP so we can make your stay a 5-star experience!

-Cell service is good. 2-3 bars generally in the development.

- The TV here does not have cable, and guests have to use their personal accounts to log into the smart apps to stream.
