The home sleeps up to 12 and sits on a quiet peninsula overlooking Lake Champlain, within easy driving distance of Jay Peak, Stowe, and Smugglers’ Notch. With cozy gathering spaces, comfortable bedrooms, and beautiful lake views, it’s an ideal home base for ski trips, family gatherings, and four-season getaways.

We opened this farmhouse as a place for families to slow down, reconnect, and make memories the way they used to—long meals, shared stories, and mornings with nowhere to rush to. If that’s the kind of trip you’re craving, we’d love to host you.

This lovingly restored lakefront farmhouse blends classic Vermont charm with modern comfort, offering the perfect four-season escape for families and friends. With room for up to 12 guests, the house sits on a quiet peninsula just outside Saint Albans — a postcard-perfect town on the shores of Lake Champlain.

The home features a spacious wraparound porch that’s made for slow mornings and golden evenings. Sip your coffee as the sun rises over the lake, surrounded by birdsong and the scent of fresh lake air. An outdoor table invites you to enjoy your meals al fresco, and Adirondack chairs in cozy spots around the porch invite you to unwind with a book, a conversation, or simply the view.

Outside, we offer a grill for casual cookouts, and a lakeside firepit awaits — perfect for roasting s’mores with the kids or enjoying a glass of wine under the stars.

Inside, you’ll find multiple gathering spaces — a large farmhouse kitchen, welcoming living and dining areas, and thoughtfully appointed bedrooms that offer both comfort and privacy. Whether you’re here to explore or to recharge, the experience is yours to shape. Paddle the bay in one of the provided kayaks, bike or hike nearby trails, or head to a sandy beach just five minutes away. In fall, you're front and center for Vermont’s stunning foliage. In winter, some of the state’s best ski mountains are just under an hour away. And if you simply want to relax? Hi! I’m a writer, mom, spouse, and avid CrossFitter based in Los Angeles—but a big part of my heart lives in Vermont. Our family fell in love with Saint Albans for its small-town charm, welcoming community, and the beauty of Lake Champlain in every season.

My daughter and her wife live just five minutes from the house, so we spend a lot of time here enjoying lake days, farmers markets, snowy walks, and quiet evenings at home. We’ve thoughtfully designed this space to feel cozy, comfortable, and well-loved, and we hope it becomes a place where you can truly relax and feel at home, too.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the best of Vermont living — open land, lake access, and a strong sense of place. The home sits in a peaceful, rural setting where kids can explore safely, families can unplug, and every season brings new outdoor adventures. Summer days are perfect for kayaking, swimming, biking, and porch time; fall brings foliage, cider mill tours, and harvest markets; winter invites skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing; and spring welcomes maple festivals, quiet walks and fresh air.
