Histórico Mid-Century Modern ZEN House

Se puede alquilar el estudio donde se esculpió el monte Rushmore. La mayoría de las personas conocen Mount Rushmore, el destino familiar por excelencia para los viajeros jóvenes y viejos. Pero poco saben, partes del monumento fueron construidas en Stamford, Connecticut. Eso es todo un viaje desde Dakota del Sur.
Un viaje rápido en Metro-North a 50 minutos de la ciudad de Nueva York.
La casa está ubicada en lo que solía ser el estudio al aire libre del escultor Gutzon Borglum.
Una amplia y moderna ZEN HOUSE de un dormitorio será una excelente opción de fin de semana para relajarse y disfrutar de la piscina al aire libre.
Estás a unos 15 minutos de restaurantes, bares y la playa.

Lovely, calm retreat!

We absolutely loved our stay at the zen house! Everything was carefully thought of, from the champagne and cheese upon arrival, to the kitchen stocked full of all the pots/pans/plates we would need. I highly recommend staying here- such a cute cozy spot in a great part of town- stones throw from the Stamford Museum and Nature Center & Bartlett Arboretum!

soothing stay

Olga is an excellent host; there when you need her and not intrusive when you don't. The tableau she's created on the grounds, by the river, is beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go again in future.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Zen House. Everything was perfect from the historical accommodations to the beautiful setting in the woods. Olga was a super nice and informative host, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne and fresh fruit! Also we had so much fun painting on the canvas Olga left for us.!!

Amazing Property & Host

This was my first time making a booking through Vrbo, and Olga made the process and communication simple. The Zen House property was like our own little private retreat, with massive stone walls covered in ivy surrounding the pool, and a river running through the grounds, there was plenty to explore and do. Olga is extremely kind, gave us our privacy, and was an excellent communicator and local guide when needed.

Very Zen

This was a very restful and relaxing spot to stay. We had the use of the pool which my wife and i have not been in water in a long time. The grounds are wonderful and very relaxing, and the sounds of the stream in the yard made for a great place for relaxation. Highly recommend this property.

Truly Mesmerizing

The home was absolutely stunning. Everything was clean and put together, and the vibe was immaculate. Olga was an exceptional host, she gave us a whole tour of the property and surrounding land. Better than home!

I can’t say enough about all the amenities both inside and out at the Zen House. Everything was perfect from its well stocked kitchen, abundant fluffy white towels, comfortable and spacious king bed to its huge pool and beautiful outdoor setting!!! Olga was attentive and available but very mindful of creating a private and nature filled environment. I’d highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. It’s historical significance was also astounding! Imagine sleeping in the space which used to house the art studio of Mt Rushmore’s sculptor!!

I found a haven

This home is more than I could have ever dreamed of. The history of the place and land is spectacular. The comfort and decor of the place was divine. The grounds were breathtaking. My morning coffee and wine at sunset along the babbling brook was the absolute best way to start and end the day. And the hostess/ host were absolutely one of the kindest and caring couple that I have ever encountered. If you are looking for a retreat or a get away to see wonderful sites in the area! This is THE place- look no further! Just plan and book it! 👍

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Zen House while meeting up with a co-worker nearby — and it completely exceeded expectations. This place nails that rare balance: close enough to town that food delivery is a breeze, but tucked away just enough to feel like you’ve stepped into a private nature retreat.The property is exactly what the name suggests — peaceful, elegant, grounded. Olga (the host) has truly thought of everything. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us with a warm tour of the house, clearly proud of every detail — and rightly so. The home itself is beautiful, but it’s the way it’s cared for that makes it feel like a boutique hotel carved into the woods.We felt completely taken care of and blissed out. If you're looking for a quiet, stunning escape without sacrificing convenience, this is the one. We’ll absolutely be back.

Excellent Getaway

It was so nice to get away from the city just to see natural trees and water. The pool house skylights make this a great spot to enjoy a rainstorm and it was really nice taking walks down by the stream adjacent to the property. The hosts are extremely nice, accommodating, and responsive to any questions. We loved our quick retreat from NYC!

Only wish we could've stayed longer! The property was gorgeous, with a serene babbling creek just a short stroll from the house. The pool is beautiful and well kept, as is everything else about this place. Olga is a wonderful lady, getting the tour from her was super interesting. It was a very relaxing stay!

Perfect setting for relaxation close to NYC

The guest house is very spacious and clean. The setting is very romantic, in a quiet area. You feel like you are in a vacation spot with a lot of amenities. The pool is very clean and large, perfect for a morning swim and an afternoon relaxation session. There is a nearby stream with a nice pathway to enjoy a quiet stroll. The whole settings makes you feel like you are in the mountains in Europe. The host house is on the other side of the property and we never really saw them. It was very private. However, the hosts are very response and accomodating. So happy to have found this place.
