Hi, my name is Andreas, the owner behind La Calma de Celine.
I’m currently based in Dubai, and from 2017–2023 I lived in Bali. Over the years I stayed in many villas across the island, and I noticed something consistent: most places look great in photos, but 9 out of 10 have small flaws that stop them from feeling truly “perfect.”
That’s exactly why I built La Calma de Celine.
La Calma means “calm” in Spanish, and de Celine is named after my beautiful daughter, Celine. This villa is inspired by years of exploring Bali and wanting a space that feels genuinely peaceful, away from the crowds and noise that many parts of Bali have today.
We designed the villa around calm: beautiful materials, hotel-level cleanliness, and spaces that invite you to slow down whether you’re lounging by the pool, relaxing in the sunken lounge, or enjoying a breezy moment upstairs.
La Calma is nestled in the quiet village of Desa Kutuh, a perfect base to unwind while still being close to the best of South Bali.
You’ll be looked after by a friendly local team who’s quick to respond, while always respecting your privacy. Our goal is simple: a smooth, peaceful stay you’ll want to repeat.

We chose Desa Kutuh (Uluwatu) because it’s close to what people come here for cliff beaches, cafés, and beach clubs, yet it feels calm the moment you come home. The beaches in the south are also far less crowded than Canggu or Seminyak, so you get that “Bali” feeling without the constant traffic and noise.
It’s a local village with afternoon breezes, birdsong, and dark skies at night that are perfect for stargazing.
For transparency: the final ±400 meters of the access road is currently unpaved, but it’s fully accessible and hasn’t been an issue so far. If you’d like, we can also arrange pick-up so your arrival is effortless.
That balance near the energy, far from the noise is exactly why we chose this neighborhood.

For work, there’s a dedicated upper lounge with fast Starlink Wi-Fi. For sleep, we built in quiet layered roofing and insulation help soften heavy rain so nights stay restful.
The villa is finished with honest materials travertine, warm timber, brushed metal and rounded edges that make the whole space feel easy and refined.
Hospitality is thoughtful and discreet: we collect pre-arrival preferences, offer a gentle turn-down on Day 2, and can arrange on-request experiences such as a private chef, in-villa massage, or yoga.
For entertainment, you’ll find a large 4K TV, PS5, streaming services, plus board games.
We’ve been grateful to consistently receive 5-star reviews on other platforms, and we’re excited to bring La Calma to VRBO and continue delivering that same standard of experience here.
