Also there is a nice hike to the monastery Katholiko (7 km) and a wide selection of beaches and tavernas.
10 km away is the port of Souda, from where you get on the highway and can reach all parts of the island of Crete.

Beach: the sandy beach of Kalathas is located 1 km away. On the beach there are sun loungers and parasols for a fee, and 2 taverns. Another beautiful sandy beach can be found in Stavros 8 km away
