Escape to the Heart of Virginia Horse Country and welcome to The Whipper Inn at Winfall Farm, a one-of-a-kind farm stay in Virginia’s renowned horse country. Winfall is a 140 acre return to nature, connection, and simple joys. Stay at a charming, private authentic farmhouse just steps from barn and pasture, a pool for sunny days and sunset swims, tennis/pickleball court for fun family matches or friendly competition, private walking and horse trails through fields and woods.

Getting here:

55 miles from Washington D.C.
6 miles from the town of Warrenton and 12 miles from Gainesville.
We are conveniently located off of major roads yet set back for a peaceful serene farm stay.

Guest access:

The house will be unlocked upon arrival. A key to open the carport door will be available for use. Guests have access to the house and surrounding grounds; pool, tennis court and designated trails. The barn is only available if bringing horses and a separate barn rental agreement has been signed. There is one "owner's closet" which is locked to guests. We welcome guests to hike the property yet stay on marked trails and please do not climb the fences; use gates and obey the farm rule of open a gate, close a gate.

Welcome to our farm! We want you to enjoy the peaceful setting while understanding that this is a working farm, not a resort property.

Farm Animals & Dogs
Our property is home to horses, cattle, chickens, and several friendly farm dogs. While we do our best to keep our animals away from the guest house and pool area, they occasionally roam the property and may stop by to say hello. Please do not feed, encourage, or allow the animals into the home, and supervise children around all animals at all times. Note: Due to our farm animals pets are strictly prohibited.

Pool Maintenance
The swimming pool is professionally maintained for your enjoyment. However, because the property is surrounded by mature trees and open farmland, storms and windy weather can leave debris on the pool deck or in the water.

For your safety and to keep the pool in excellent condition, the owners may briefly access the pool area after significant storms or periods of high winds to inspect the pool, remove debris, or blow off the pool deck. Guests will be notified prior to pool cleaning. We make every effort to perform this maintenance as quickly and unobtrusively as possible and will respect your privacy throughout your stay.

Safety:

Inside: The unique home has brick floors with different levels so beware of tripping hazards. There are two staircases; a traditional and spiral. We recommend due to the space of the spiral staircase that all luggage be taken up by the traditional staircase.

Outside: There are animals in the fields. Farm rules to abide by at all times: if you open a gate you close that gate. Please be mindful that the farm has older fencing. We ask that guests do not climb or sit on the fencing.
