Secluded 3-acre lakefront lodge on a quiet, no-motor 74 acre lake with kayaks, fishing, and fire by the dock. Minutes from Savage Gulf, Fiery Gizzard, Foster Falls, Denny Cove, Coalmont OHV Park, and The Caverns.
Dogwood Lodge sits at the end of a quiet dead-end road on three private acres along Big Creek Lake in Coalmont, Tennessee. With 2,600 square feet of living space, this cedar lake house offers a rare combination of privacy, comfort, and access to some of the most unique outdoor and cultural experiences in the region.
The home has a timeless, lived-in character that makes it feel immediately comfortable. It is a place shaped by years of family use, now thoughtfully shared with others looking for the same kind of experience. Inside, you will find three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, two separate living areas, and an enclosed sleeping porch with wide views of the lake.
Big Creek Lake is a no-motor reservoir, which means the setting stays calm and quiet throughout the day. The water is ideal for fishing and kayaking, and both are part of the experience here. Fishing poles and tackle are provided, and unlike many lakes in Tennessee, the fish are safe to eat. Two kayaks are also available for exploring the shoreline. Evenings tend to gather around the dock, where a fire and the stillness of the water make it easy to slow down.
Sleeping arrangements are designed to be flexible and comfortable. The home includes a custom forest-themed iron canopy king bed, a queen bedroom, and a twin room with two beds. There is also a sofa bed in the living room and an additional twin bed in the sleeping porch overlooking the lake. Each bedroom has its own TV. The primary bathroom features a soaking tub and separate shower, and the second bathroom includes a walk-in shower. Both are fully stocked, and a laundry room is available for guest use. The home is handicap accessible.
Whether you are spending time together in one of the living spaces or sitting out on the deck overlooking the water, the lodge is built for both gathering and quiet moments.
For those who want to explore, the location is ideal. Dogwood Lodge is just a short drive from Savage Gulf State Park, the Fiery Gizzard Trail, Foster Falls, and Denny Cove, along with the Coalmont OHV Park for off-road riding and trail access. The Caverns, a unique underground music venue known for concerts and special events, is also nearby. The area offers something for everyone, from quiet hikes and scenic overlooks to rock climbing, live music, and outdoor adventure.
