Bitty, I think you need to put it all out there. You booked for two adults, which is what my place is listed to accommodate, as it’s only a 544 sq. ft. condo with 1bed. I did not hear from you until the morning of check-in, saying you were going to have to bring your 2yr old & 5yr old kids' due to sudden babysitter issues. You did not even ask me — you told me that’s what you were going to do, which makes me think you’ve probably done this in the past to try and save money rather than booking a bigger place. I told you, sorry, that’s not allowed, so you might have to cancel, meaning: figure out other babysitters. You expected me to take the full hit because I told you I could only take guests 13 years old and up, but even that would still be included as two guests total. You could have at least been considerate enough to offer additional funds toward your stay to possibly help with what I’m sure would have been extra cleaning costs with children that young staying here — although I still would have had to say no as the unit contains not-so-child-friendly features i.e. high barstools, sharp table corners, a lightweight elevated TV stand, light gray couches, etc. Also, being an upstairs unit, think staircase and kids running around causing overhead thumping for my downstairs neighbors. Then you even threatened a lawsuit stating you're an attorney, I especially would not risk that liability.
