Forest Vacations—Experience Nature

Spanning approximately 113 m² over two floors of the semi-detached house (4 rooms), this charming, rustic, country-style vacation home accommodates up to 5 people. The vacation home features two separate bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and toilet on the upper floor; on the first floor, there is an additional separate toilet, a coat closet, a kitchen-dining area with a dining space, stove, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher, a storage closet, a separate living area with a TV and access to the south-facing terrace, and 2 parking spaces right next to the house. The large terrace is perfect for a cozy meal or simply relaxing.
Enjoy the wonderful view over the gently forested hills of the Bavarian Forest in our vacation home “Tannenwäldchen” at the Alte Forsthaus in Bodenmais.

The Alte Forsthaus is located at the foot of the Silberberg, surrounded by tall forests in a quiet, secluded setting on the outskirts of the climatic health resort of Markt Bodenmais.
Enjoy the location in the midst of this unique natural setting.
Start your day by letting your gaze wander over the green meadows and forests. With a little luck, you might spot deer with fawns, falcons hunting, hares, or even a fox in the morning (don’t forget your binoculars).

The Alte Forsthaus Bodenmais is an ideally situated starting point for wonderful hikes, leisurely walks, mountain bike tours, or Nordic walking. The extensive network of trails begins right outside the front door. This area also has plenty to offer for the little ones. A stroller-friendly hiking trail also starts right outside the front door, and not far away, there’s the exciting Ant Trail for older children. Bodenmais, the Silberberg, and the surrounding area offer many exciting attractions and activities.

Round off a relaxing, eventful day of vacation in the evening while relaxing on the terrace of your vacation home. Listen to the sounds of the forest at night and enjoy the view of the deep starry sky. We wish you a good night’s sleep. Another exciting day awaits you tomorrow here at the Alte Forsthaus Bodenmais.

The Altes Forsthaus is located about 3 km south of Bodenmais on the outskirts of town, right next to the forest. From Regener Straße—between the Bodenmais Camping Resort and Böhmhof—you can follow the signs for “Altes Forsthaus.” The last stretch of the route is along a gravel forest road (private road).

Tourist tax and GUTi guest card*: €3.60 per person per day; children and teens (ages 6 to 16): €1.80; children under 6 are exempt from the tourist tax (mandatory; must be paid on site).

*Free bus and train travel throughout the entire Bayerwald-Ticket fare zone!

Towels and bed linens are provided for your initial needs.
The vacation homes and apartments do not have washing machines, but you can use our laundry service—€10 per wash, €10 per dryer cycle.
