Relaxing Getaway

The location was great and had all the amenities we were looking for. Spent 3 days at this residence and never felt the need to leave. Wonderful place to bring the family.

Ski trip

We met with our son’s family for a ski trip and new year celebration. Spent quality time with our grand babies. Loved the cabin; it was a perfect place to stay. The cabin is cozy and in a good location, close to groceries and coffee shop.

Cozy stay by the river

This house is very cozy, and the river right out the back door makes it even more relaxing. Everything was nice and the kitchen was well stocked. I will say though that I found a few spiders inside the house, which wasn’t my thing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had originally rented another cabin closer to Mt. Hood but due to extreme icy conditions, we weren’t able to make it. After calling the rental office, Carol was able to assist us right away and offer another option at Moose Manor. The cabin was beautiful! Located right on the Sandy River, with the water running through the backyard and a very scenic view. The cabin itself was decorated in mountain themed decor and very homey. Couldn’t have asked for a better replacement and am very thankful for the last minute accommodations.

The location was perfect for hiking trips, etc. We really enjoyed the had all we needed for 4 people to stay comfortably. The best part was walking off the back porch and 15 feet away is the river! Very serene. Even from the front of the house, it appears very secluded as we didn't even see the house when we turned into the driveway the first time. Would definitely return!

Good Visit

This is not really accurate. There are two fold out couches, but it is awful. We had to move a mattress on the floor. The TV room doesn’t smell very good.All else was great.

Lots of Potential But Needs Some TLC

Our communication with the property host started out great. They were quick to respond and were gracious enough to let us check-in a couple hours early to help avoid the winter weather coming in at our home. Upon arrival, the check-in process was easy. The Moose Manor was as described in pictures. However, the downstairs toilet handle was broken and we couldn’t flush it without having to take off the back tank lid & lift the chain to flush it. When I communicated with the host about it, they said they would send someone out to check it out, but no one ever came. That night, our friends who slept in the master suite, said their bed was extremely uncomfortable and that the bed frame was broken causing them to have to sleep at an odd angle.I communicated this to our host asking if someone could come fix it. I never got a response. Our friends tried to make do 1 more night sleeping on it, but were so uncomfortable they left a night early, which was disappointing. The loft space above the guest bedroom was great for our young kids to sleep in and hang out. However, the tv shown in that room had no hookups or anyway to actually watch something on it. This was disappointing as well because I thought it was going to be a fun hangout spot for them to watch movies. There were several other little things that just need to be fixed by the host. Other than that, this would be a great place to visit & vacation. The location is gorgeous!

Right on the river! Peaceful & beautiful

Had a wonderful stay in Rhododendron. The house is awesome - very spacious, clean, and had a full stock of cooking necessities. The location is amazing, as it’s right on the Sandy River. They have a wrap around deck to sit out on with rocking chairs and more chairs closer to the water with an outdoor fire pit. No complaints, will come back!

This is a nice location but the property needs some attention: - Icemaker didn't work - Hot tub full of sand - Broken chair - Derelect furniture down by the river; would have been a nice place to sit - Upstairs window missing screen so limited ventilation in hot weather - Listing says "3 queen beds" but one is just a pull out couch - I sent this list to the property managers right after our stay. They said I'd be contacted back about a possible discount but have not heard a thing.

Beauty in the woods

Black Out!

Well, its a good thing I pack for all occasions. we had some crazy rainstorm and a tree fell just before the street the home is on so we arrived in a blackout. That being said the after-hours management was very accommodating and helpful and communicative which was very appreciated. Even with all the loveliness of the first night, we had an amazing time! The house is beautiful. The Sandy river was raging because of the storm which I loved. And my favorite part was the cat! There is a Bengal cat that is obviously well taken care of because he is very healthy so he must live nearby. As we were hanging out in the kitchen in the dark with the back door open this cat just walks right in and scared the living **** out of my sisters which made me love it that much more. But he (assuming gender) was a very nice cat that kept coming back all weekend long. All in all this was the retreat we needed to reconnect and unplug! Check-in and out was very easy. the beds are great, the washer and dryer are a huge plus, and the 3 bathrooms were fantastic. One thing don't be surprised you do have neighbors very close, which I thought via the listing it was more secluded but it wasn't a let down.
