There is a distant ocean view. The house is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied. The access road is unpaved and very "rustic."The house is located on the "quiet side" of Martha's Vineyard. The area is a bit isolated, but it's very beautiful and charming.

Wonderful location over a dune from the beach! Nice open floor plan with great views, well stocked kitchen. Only thing to be aware of is house is a bit loud, and the upstairs twin beds did not seem to get any air conditioning. Otherwise an amazing spot

A gem in Menemsha

This beautiful home in Menemsha was a perfect place for a vacation/holiday/getaway.The owners thought of everything you could possibly need. This is a beach front property but it is a bit of a distance to get there. That's what makes it so special:) I don't want to say too many good things because I don't want everyone to book it and we won't get a chance to come back, LOL!

Vineyard perfection

We enjoyed our stay at this idyllic and comfortable home. The location is unbeatable with access to menemsha beach and beautiful views of vineyard sound. The house had everything we needed for the perfect up island experience. We can’t wait to return!

Great house and stay

My wife and two sons had a great stay at this house and hope to return. It has everything you need in a vacation house, and is just a short walk to the quiet end of Menemsha Beach, which we visited daily. The open kitchen/dining/living area works well for groups, and the AC was nice to have during some of the warmer moments. All in all a fantastic trip.

Truly the best!!!

Gem! Came here to celebrate birthday week, and loved every bit of it. Perfect sunset, private pathway to beach, and modern interiors. Everything was great and the host was soo good with communication! Thank you for a great stay!

Everything we were looking forward!

My wife and I along with another couple wanted to spend a week doing some biking on Martha's Vineyard, and the house met our needs perfectly. It is located on the west side of the island away from the hubbub of the three main towns on the eastern side. The house is very well maintained, and the kitchen is better equipped than any kitchen we have had on any of our previous rentals. The sunsets are spectacular! The layout of the house enabled each couple to have our own private 'wing.'

Look No Further

If you like views and convenience and tasteful surroundings, this is the place for you. We came with our 2 grown sons and girlfriends, rented kayaks and SUPs. The beach has beautiful soft white sand and the water is not very cold, just pleasurably so. Lighthouse flashing, buoys ringing, what's not to like? The owners have thought of everything. My boys LOVED it. Hope we can go again.

Definitely going back

The property is beautiful and is located in a truly beautiful location. The private beach is perfect - we went every day. The house is just far enough from Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs - quiet and rural, and restaurants and shopping are easy to access.

Perfect spot to bond with family

What an awesome spot surrounded by beautiful scenery. We hiked, biked, sat on the beach and after island-famous sunsets, played cards. The hosts were terrific (and timely) with communication and shared some great recommendations on food (Larsen's Fish Market...always a line) and farm to table markets (Shout out to Morning Glory Farm...new favorite place!). While we may have been the only bikers on our section of the island with bike baskets (no spandex specials in our group) we thoroughly enjoyed our ride to the Cliffs of Aquinnah and were even more thrilled to complete the circle by taking the bike ferry from Aquinnah back to Menemsha (well worth the fare). If you like crowds...this is not your side of the island! But nothing is really far away so you can get your shopping/people fix with a 25-30 min ride to Edgartown, Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs.

Incredible Location

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beachside home. The house is laid out nicely with an open floor plan in the common space. The beach is a short walk through the dunes and kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The owner was very friendly and quick to respond to our questions. The most magical thing about the home is the location. It simply can’t be beat. The landscape is beautiful and the sunsets are spectacular. We hope to return next summer.

Seaside Gem

We had a super time at this seaside gem. The house is inviting with water views from every window. The natural landscape surrounding this home is both beautiful and relaxing. Plenty of room for 6 people and the kitchen is well equipped. The homeowner is delightful and easily accessible. If you are looking for a quiet island get-away, this is a wonderful spot to call home during your vacation. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Property is owned by 4 siblings. We inherited the house from our parents, who built it as a rental property. We vacation year round in the original house near the rental property. Rental property was built in 2000 and is in pristine condition. We are all responsible professionals with young adult children. We have a local caretaker who is immediately available to attend to any issues that may arise.

The view is extraordinary--overlooking the Vineyard Sound with views of the Elizabeth Islands. Watch the fishing boats and yachts go in and out of Menemsha harbor. Walk to restuarants and fish markets in Menemsha Harbor in minutes, and walk to the Chilmark Store in 30 minutes, or drive there in 5 minutes. House allows renters to obtain resident only passes to Lucy Vincent Beach and Squibnocket Beach (private town beaches on Atlantic Ocean), both town beaches are about a 5-10 minute drive.
