Welcome to our Bradatsch vacation rental. The vacation rental was newly renovated in 2017. It is located in a quiet residential area in Catterfeld, right next to the forest. The vacation rental is situated on our property behind our house and is not fenced in.Pets are allowed only upon prior request!!! At the foot of the Rennsteig trail between Oberhof and Inselsberg.In, shopping and restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity, approximately 7 km away. Public transportation is well-developed.

Catterfeld, which has been a district of the newly founded rural municipality of Georgenthal since 01.01.2020, is a true gem on the edge of the western “Thuringian Forest.” This former hillside settlement is the village most frequently seen from the legendary “Rennsteig” in the “Thuringian Forest.”Situated at an elevation of approximately 430-480 meters above sea level and home to about 700 residents, the village boasts a charming location where you’ll find peace and relaxation, a mild, invigorating climate, and clean air. Numerous benches and seating areas dotted throughout the area ensure your comfort while hiking around the village.On the Johannisberg, not far from Catterfeld and in the directly adjacent district of Altenbergen, stands the candelabra erected in 1811, commemorating the Christianization of Thuringia by Boniface, who had built a baptistery at this site.Our town is located directly on Federal Highway B 88 and is therefore very easily accessible by car, including good connections to the A 4 and A 71 highways. From the bus stop located in the center of town, bus routes run to Friedrichroda, Tabarz, Ohrdruf, Gotha, and Oberhof.Our vacation rental is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of town and at the edge of the forest, making it an ideal starting point for hikes in the surrounding area. Popular destinations include Erfurt (e.g., the cathedral, Krämerbrücke, historic old town, zoo), Weimar (including the Duchess Anna Amalia Library), Eisenach (including Wartburg Castle, the Luther and Bach Houses), Gotha (including Friedenstein Castle, the zoo, the Natural History Museum, and the historic old town), Oberhof (including the winter sports center with an indoor ski hall) \r
