Relaxing Getaway

We had the most incredible time at Robyn’s Nest. Two weeks of relaxation and unplugged family time. First week was really beach friendly with calm water and hot weather. Second week was cool weather and perfect for hot tubbing and reading. The house was great for 6 young adults and two tired parents who needed a break. Kevin was accommodating and responsive and a fantastic host. Highly recommend for a family getaway.

We just had the most amazing vacation at Robyn’s Nest — it truly felt like a home away from home. Kevin was such a thoughtful and welcoming host, and the house had absolutely everything we could have needed and more. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials — pots, pans, utensils, Tupperware, and even small appliances — making it easy to enjoy meals together as a family.The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable for all 9 of us. After long days at the beach, the pool and hot tub were the perfect way to relax and unwind. And speaking of the beach — the access was just one house away, and the short walk made it effortless to enjoy the sand and surf whenever we wanted.We truly loved every moment of our stay and are already dreaming of coming back. Thank you so much, Kevin, for your incredible hospitality and for sharing this wonderful home with us!

Clean, comfortable & fresh beach house w

We had a fantastic time at this clean, well-maintained & comfortable beach house just a short walk from life-guarded beach. The layout and amenities were perfect for us- a family group of 12 people ages 12-65. The owner was very responsive and helpful during booking, a thoroughly and quickly answering several pre-trip questions I had. The vacation exceeded our expectations and we hope to stay here again in the future. some

Home away from home

Rooms and layout were perfect for our 2 families (10 people total)! Family room was perfect for video game challenges, board and card games. Open concept was just what we needed to keep everyone together. Screened in outdoor area was perfect for kids. Outdoor shower and fish cleaning station were highly appreciated after a short walk to and from the beach. Pool and spa were lifesavers when ocean temp or tides werent allowing a beach day. Owner was super responsive to questions. Highly recommended!

Great location - very clean

Just what we needed for 2 families!! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. About 1.5 blocks from the beach. Nice quiet area away from the hustle and bustle but everything we needed was within a 2 mile radius. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay

We had a wonderful time. The house was extremely well stocked with anything we needed especially the kitchen. Although the coffee maker took over 45 minutes to make we started to use anorher one. We are older and were use to shower handles it would benefit ones for future renters. We especially loved the extra roomy living area. We are very pleased with our stay and want to thank you for an overall stay.

Great Stay!

Great house, great amenities, great location! Pool was wonderful and clean with lots of chairs in the shade. Beach was a convenient walk away. Rooms were comfortable. The house came with so many extra little things that helped our stay; like a pack and play crib, tons of blankets, crayons, pool/beach toys, and a bunch of beach chairs. Even the pool guys that came halfway through the week to clean were quick, efficient, and friendly. Only issue is the walls are thin, we could hear people in the kitchen from the bedrooms downstairs.

First Family Vacation in Years

We had a wonderful experience at the property. The neighborhood is quiet and family oriented. Just a short walk to the beach on a very nice public walkway. The beach offered lots of shells to find and was clean. We had unseasonably cool weather but that’s the luck of the draw. Our entire family had a wonderful stay!

Great house in a great location!

We had a great 2-week stay at Robyn’s Nest. There was a total of 9 of us - 4 kids ranging from 3 to 11 and 5 adults ranging from late-30s to early-70s. The house was clean and the kitchen had great amenities as well as plenty of countertop for meal prep. We appreciated little details like nightlights in the hallways and plenty of towel hooks in the rooms and bathrooms for all our towels. Also loved the pool and the canopy to provide shade! The location was also awesome because it’s a relatively short walk to the beach. We rented bikes for one of the weeks and we were 9/10th of a mile from the park and Currituck Lighthouse and Corolla Light shopping. We biked for pastries and ice cream and to the sound for sunsets and fishing/crabbing. We loved that we were close enough to make short bike trips! When our family returns in a few years - Robyn’s Nest will be our first choice!

Family Vacation 2023

The location of the property is great. Sturgeon Beach Access is 1 house away. A short walk and you are on the beach. Nice neighborhood, pleasantly quiet. You are close to just about everything. Our family of 11 aging from 63 to 3, 6 adults and 5 children ages 15 to 3 , were very comfortable during our stay. Roomy enough to be together, yet everyone had their own quiet place on the property. The property is well taken care of with plenty of dishes, games, books, and puzzles for all ages. We honestly were quite content to spend our week at the house and the beach. We had a very nice stay at Robyns Nest.

The house was cleaned to perfection and smelled great when we got there. The house was perfect for 10 adults and 2 infants.The walk to the beach was a quick 4-5 minutes and all shopping/food stores are within a 10 minute drive. The only thing I would suggest may be some lighting for the hot tub at night/the back steps. Kevin was extremely helpful with any questions we had and always answered quickly. We loved our stay and can’t wait to book with Kevin again!

Family Vacay Corolla 2023

This house was perfect for our family vacation. It was my husband and I, our two young girls (4 and 2), two sets of grandparents, and two friends. The house had everything we needed and super clean. The location couldn’t be better, short walk to beach, short distance to grocery store, restaurants and shopping. Kevin was easy to contact and always replied back in a timely manner. We would definitely vacation here again.

Fabulous house & amazing stay!

This is our second year vacationing in the Outer Banks and our first time renting in Corolla. As a point of reference, we have four boys ranging in age from 21 to 10. The house was absolutely perfect for our family's needs! Each child had their own bedroom and we had the master. The house was exceptionally clean and well-stocked and the pool and hot tub were used several times a day. Beach access was very easy - a few steps from the house you will find a structured boardwalk that will have you at the beach within about 8 minutes or so. A few minutes' drive to all kinds of restaurants and shops. Kevin, the owner, was so helpful and responsive to questions. Everything was explained so well before we arrived and he quickly responded to a request about favorite restaurants. The love and care he has put into making this an exceptional vacation home is evident. We have already recommended it to others!

Corolla vacation

We all thought that the property had everything it claimed to have. It was conveniently located to all that we needed while there. Easy walking distance to the beach, and less than 2 miles to several restaurants, mini golf, and grocery stores. It was clean an the owner was responsive to any questions we had. Excellent!

We had an amazing time. Kevin was great to work with. Other than cleaning crew being late which caused late getting in to the house, it was great. Would recommend this house, but would suggest more towels for guest.

Great location only a few houses down from the beach access path and a short walk to the beach. The house was clean, organized and had everything we needed. Loved to pool, hot tub and plenty of outdoor deck space. Couldn't have asked for a better stay in Corolla!

No complaints here!

Would definitely recommend Robyn’s Nest. It was well suited to our needs, two houses away from the path to the beach, had a small pool that the kids really enjoyed, had a really nice outdoor shower (with hot water), and even an extra fridge downstairs. Kevin was very quick to reply and prompt to address and follow up on any issues we had. Definitely would recommend him as a host. Thank you for a lovely time!

We currently live in a small town outside of Harrisburg, PA. We raised our three children in this area and have vacationed on the Outer Banks for nearly 30 years. We were attracted to the North Carolina beaches because of the scenic beauty, family friendly environment, clean beaches and light crowds.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We have vacationed on the Outer Banks for nearly 30 years. After staying in several locations prior to purchasing our home we selected Whalehead because of the large private lots. Due to the expensive land acquisition costs most communities have very small lot sizes and the homes are very close to each other. In Whalehead most lots are approximately 1/2 acre in size. This provides more spacious accommodations and fewer people crowding the beaches.
